I expect pretty buggy, There is probably a learning process for this sort of game compared to Witcher and the day one patch sounds like it is coming in hot. I'm picking it up anyway though, as I have a week or two off.

I downloaded 90 Gigabytes of Call of Duty WW2

I played the first level of Call of Duty WW2

I didn't enjoy it because I couldn't see anything with how busy it looked and it ended with "You're a long way from Texas, son" which feels like a sentence in every American WW2 piece of media

I uninstalled CoD WW2

So Ubisoft this year is like 4/5 flops? Hyperscape, Trackmania, Watch_Dogs Legion and now Immortals. Only AC Valhalla was big success.
Pretty much.

That's why they will also comeback to Steam when the time comes, because they will need a fuckton of money and everyone available to get money from.

Despite 90% of their catalog being average/mediocre IMO, Ubisoft have done quite well with R6 Siege and Division's micro transactions and AssCreeds since 2016.

This year's catalog wasn't strong at all.
  • New stuff was didn't felt new -
Hyerscape was a fast pace BR which was actually heavily promoted. But they did a poor job maintaining it (plus Apex is already a king in this particular kind of BR).
Immortals Fenyx Rising already fumbled with its branding (Gods & Monsters). It looks too much like Odyessy, so those who have played that won't find anything new here.
Plus it released between PS5-Demon Souls-SpiderMan period and Cyberpunk, so people have either spent money or are saving money
  • Trackmania has it's own community. It's largely online
  • ONLY 2 AAA games :
Watch Dogs Legion had a chance to do better if the bugs and poor quality wasn't so talked about.
And AssCreed is AssCreed. People will eat it no matter how many ideas it steals from Witcher 3
IMPORTANT note : Ubisoft games have been pushing lot for digital purchases, so
Game doing poorly in retail Game flopped

You lose half? your money when you die, so try and bank what you have.
Not like you have even remotely a chance to die in the first 40 to 50 hours of the game. I guess if you play on Draconic Quest they could be useful.

Well as far as a "Glorious" return to Steam for ubisoft if in the next 1-2 years they have:

Already finished games -
Division 2
Ghost Recon Breakpoint
Immortals Fenyx Rising
Assassin's Creed Valhalla
Watch Dogs: Legion
Hyper Scape

Potentially future games -

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game - Complete Edition (Its going to be re-released on stuff again at least that's what the internet says)
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake
Far Cry 6
Skull & Bones

I mean it isn't like a gigantic list but it's not amazing either. I sort of think they'll try and do what EA did and get Uplay+ rammed into an agreement to put their games back in as well

From what little I played, Anno 1800 is really solid. I would like to go back to it, but there are so many other games I want to play right now.

Immortals is a really fun good game dragged down by it's name and art style.
I love the artstyle, I absolutely hate the UI though (especially the stamina gauge). It is a really fun game, I am trying to finish Assassins Creed but every time I am playing I think "damn I actually want to play Fenyx".

been playing through hades. plays fast and smooth but im terrible at it. lol. ive only managed to get past first two bosses after like 20+ tries total. i just wish thre were better ways to get some health back if you dont run into vendors or the fountains
I'm at about the same place it sounds like. My finest strategy so far is don't be afraid to cheese each room. I long range attack anything that gets stuck on pillars or terrain, and for the rest pin them against a wall and stab them a dozen times when they can't move. Then I've got enough to maybe tank past Meg.

In Dragon Quest XI, what's the purpose of the banks?
Some fun DQ trivia in DQ IV there is a section where you play as a merchant and because of how he is the only one in the party and how he is trying to make money you get a special item that saves your money when you die. This is useful since you. Can use your money to buy stuff to help you later on. After I was done with that chapter I had 99+ cutery swords. And with that you are set money wise with the game.

I'm trying to resist the urge to play through DQXI again, but it's a losing battle.
Gonna be either that, WOFF or a porny VN.

Keep in mind that the Uplay+ integration would carry their older stuff too, not only what didn't come in this 2-3 years.

Right that's also true, I tend to glaze over that fact because I have most of the stuff I want from Ubisoft already or they gave it away for free lol

Ah yes of course makes sense! Never actually died in it haha.
If you're playing it on default difficultly setting (not the draconian hard mode), don't expect to die. I switched to hard mode within the first hour and did not regret it. It's when all the mechanics in the game truly shine, and you're expected to make use of everything at your disposal. The hard-mode boss battles are similar to the boss fights in SMT Nocturne. You'll be preparing for them by using different characters, strategies, and most importantly, equipment.

Although it can be frustrating at times, I enjoyed it nonetheless. If you don't have the patience for silly RNG, I wouldn't recommend hard mode.

I mean, yeah but Gearbox is private and he's the CEO, who is going to oust him? I'm rather shocked there hasn't been a public mass exodus by this point given all; the grey area legal shit he does that effects the staff

What if before he leaves GearBox (I would imagine that it would happen at some point or he just wants to keep working there I until he dies sort of thing) he does the whole Papa John thing with the reconning?

"Blind playthrough" seems to be offensive to people for some reason...
It sort of makes sense as to why.

Now I'm curious as to how do people that are visually challenged feel about video game video content and how do they consume it. It's possible that they can still hear the person in the video and stuff. But i could also see it as being hurtful and stuff for those that use the text to audio option on stuff and then when they look at that video that it's says "blind" when it has nothing to do with being blind.

But blind in this meaning seems to be that you don't know what's going to happen in the game, hence the word blind. Many words have double meaning. Should everyone be offended by these words too when used in different context? Should puns be banned altogether?

It's like idiot or moron. It's probably used very casually by people around the world, but there are actual people out there who suffer with the disability, and it's offensive to them. The least we can do is to not add more salt to their unfortunate state.

First playthrough is not equal to blind playthrough though. I feel that there are many other ways to raise awareness or sympathy towards people who are blind, instead of changing one commonly-used word (without any proper replacement) to fit the agenda.

I admit I don't fully understand the issue, but that's me being ignorant. Blind has always been more than just being actually blind. Like you say "blind fire" for example and everyone knows what you mean. It is an adjective that is part of pretty much all languages.

But I'm all for more inclusive language use on big platforms like Twitch but what will they do with people that uses it in descriptions and such?

Thing is, as someone who has to never think about what the word "blind" actually means to people without eyesight, I don't get to tell those people what's offensive to them.
I tend to 1) shut up, and 2) listen to their concerns.

And let's get a fucking grip here. It's a term for a type of video game play-through. We can just call it something else, it doesn't matter to anyone. There's enough words in the English language to find something else that doesn't end up making people with disabilities feel like they are being othered.
