For the record, you aren't the only one who doesn't believe in these leaks, precisely on that basis among others. I don't openly voice that opinion because, well, what's the cost to me of them being out there? People choose to hope at their own discretion and I have no place telling them what to think or not.

All the same, nobody has any place telling you you are wrong for questioning the sourceless and unproven nature of the leaks. That would be abusive and cultish behavior.

Also, I'm torn between pacing myself with CP77 or just devouring it as much as I can. Its subject matter is starting to get to me and I kind of need more optimism in my life. It's an incredibly compelling game but also one that is starting to make me feel like crap. Though one heartening thing was that you can pet the cat. Good game.

Whatever happened to Voidu? I remember people posting crazy deals they had on there two or so years ago. Now I go a mail from them and thought I check in on it after quite some time. Mail was like "Our Winter Sale is finally here" and when I looked at it was a 20% on everything like it is a German home improvement store. No other discounts but 4 things or so either.

Anyway, might pick up Call of the Sea in the Steam winter seal. Part of me is bummed out that it is only on Xbox for now. Might have gone with the PS5 version if there were one just for easy playing on my OLED.

I add that we hit another limit of the process: my knowledge of the game industry, or lack thereof. I started looking into this because of a specific rumour I care about: BB PC, but I'm not well-armed regarding non-Souls franchises. I have a solid general methodology, I hope, but I need to feed it with data outside of my fields of knowledge and that takes time.

And I need to earn my bread, too.

It's up to you to trust the info or not, but I would request that you do not talk about it outside the site.

Gas clouds hit the PTU in Star Citizen and hot damn. Those screenshots are too large for me to embed them responsibly but I can't wait to see how it feels and looks like to fly through them in person. They are volumetric, dynamically-lit and self-shadowed, massive and what we've already seen just boggled my mind.

Not necessarily.

There are strong psychological rewards to being a big fish in a small pond. The hedonistic factor is not proportional to the size of the venue.

Again, not saying this is the case here --- I am all out of pitchforks --- just addressing the general argument.

I thought licensing for Steam versions would make the full version of Game Pass impossible. But if MS and Valve can pull it off, then that's great. Emulation is so prevalent on PC it would make so much sense for Nintendo to sell good quality emulators/roms on PC to actually make some money from people who would be willing to buy the games.

Here's the thing, much as I am down on LEGALLY buying Nintendo stuff on PC/Steam; they're Nintendo. Excited though I may be for their stuff, I remain weary of their BS antics and tactics especially during this year.

Even if I took leave of my senses and created a Twitter account right now, I do not see why my opinion, among so many others, would attract any particular attention.

Furthermore, my goal here is purely selfish. There is a rumour that tickles my fancy, and I wish to assess it; I have no particular drive to shout the conclusion to high heavens, even had I a platform on which to do so.

However, I cannot commit in all generality to never sharing my general conclusions outside of this forum, if a discussion comes up where it is pertinent.
Note that this very thread is publicly accessible. That's how I found this place. To share something on this forum does mean to share it outside. The degree of visibility is unpredictable.

A valid plural is fora. It's a latin word, the latin plural applies, but since English appropriated the word, the English plural (forums) is valid as well. I used the former because I am a pompous and pedant ponce, obviously. (edit: should have placed "pontificating" in there as well. Love that word. Love the activity.)

(But "Octopi" is NOT a valid plural for Octopus. 'cause Greek, not Latin. How's that for trivia?)

Whatever Pokemon game Nintendo would release on PC will be some shitty irrelevant arena game that would redirect people into their Mobile/Switch efforts. So I'm not getting excited for it. No need for a leak, the project that makes more sense to happen from Remedy right now is AW2 with AW remaster.

Let me explain.
1 - Remedy got the rights of thew first game back so no more need for MS permission.
2 - Remedy x Epic deal is for 2 skus, a big one and a small one (AW2 with remaster?)
3 - Control's last expansion focus entirely on the Darkness in this multi-dimensional universe, so let's say that they are introducing again the dark entities in order to people remembers them.
4 - It makes sense for Epic to push this one as it would bring people in due to known IP and long waited project.

Something I'm not too sure about is HDMI 2.1 on the new consoles. I was planning on buying a AV receiver and stuff but from some of the stuff that I have read is that if you want to take advantage of some of the cool stuff that they offer like high fps and FreeSync then you will want to connect the consoles directly to your video output (TV or monitor).



Right now what I'm trying to buy a record player (I have a collection of video game vinyl that I have never used before and would like to test them out) I was planning on getting the Audio-Technica - ATLP120XBT Bluetooth Stereo Turntable which Best Buy has for $300USD. I was also looking at a Sony AV receiver but I also want it to work with the record player and it looks like there is only 1 and all of the other ones need a pre-amp so I need to buy one of those.

also I'm not sure what speakers to use. My room is not that large. I would like to get a nice audio set up though but I'm not sure where to go to also more questions. I could go to Best Buy and ask and stuff but the closet one is in the next town over and even then they may not be able to help me.



why is technology just so complicated?

i wonder if I can somehow still use my Logitech speakers some how in all of this.



So one of the main reasons why I want to upgrade my audio set up is when I was trying to play a DVD on the PS5 I was not able to get audio out and I had to mess with the settings a lot in order to get it to work. The Speakers have DTS:X support and I guess that maybe the PS5 doesn't do that? I will try later with the XSX since I think that actually has an app for DTS:X.

What an beautiful game. Really enjoyed the Lovecraft inspired story and it even managed to get me little emotional in the end. Good stuff.
