I'm planning on buying Yakuza 6, SMT3 and Nier in the next few days (2 weeks max)
Nice, I think I'll jump into yakuza again during december/holidays/the next year, I always play yakuza games at the end of the year since y0 and yk1 came out, so I think this year in december I'll start my bingeplay from yakuza 0 to yakuza 6

I'm definitely getting SMT3 in 2 months too!

Close to finishing Kiwami 2 now. Really great game, even if it's not quite as amazing as Yakuza 0 was. I think it's the fact that the sub stories are overall a lot smaller in scale and few in numbers is what make it the lesser game. The Clan Creator minigame also wasn't quite as addicting as the real estate minigame in Yakuza 0.

I don't think I will buy Yakuza 3 - 5 right away. It's probably smarter to finish a few other games first. Yakuza games are generally very similar in structure, and I think it's easy to get burned out on it.

If you get another chance to mess around, try and see if the game does less freaking out if you switch the control type from whatever it's set to (joystick or wheel in the game settings). One is a lot slower, and works nicely with gyro.
When you say "in the game settings" do you mean in-game controller settings (as in the game ETS2) or Steam game controller settings for the game (reached in the Big Picture mode game menu)?
Because when using Steam Remote Touch Controller the in-game ETS2 game settings lists the input as "Keyboard Only".

I don't know if it helps, but in the Steam Input gyro advanced settings, I like to increase the dead zone outer a bunch (100% or close to it), while turning on gyro lock at edges.
I need to test this. I haven't messed with the advanced settings yet, since I found it hard to understand what the different options actually do.
Again, I blame poor documentation.

EDIT:
Jumped in a bit quick just to check it out. There are 3 options for Gyro for ETS2:
  • Steering
    • Steering shows up in the Steam Remote Touch Controller as a "large" circle, where you can adjust dead zones etc.
    • It doesn't seem to work at all. No amount of turning the phone makes the steering wheel turn
  • JM: Steering
    • The one I tested before. Different advanced settings than the above option, no dead zones available, just some other settings
    • "Works" but is too sensitive
  • Camera control
    • Also seems to work. Works more like you aim the phone as a camera to move the viewpoint, rather than turning it like a steering wheel.
    • Of course, does not affect the steering, since it controls the viewpoint instead as advertised.

I've been trying to order this Lego Gingerbread house set for a while and was finally able to get it into my cart and I was even charged for it but it doesn't seem like my order went through I was maybe just a few seconds too slow.

I would like to say that due to respect for Deku I didn't post more mobile. But I still have to say that I realized I would be able to watch glorious animu on it :sweaty-blob:
But well, Sunday is over, check mark.

The recent rumors about Sony closing PS3, PSP and Vita store in a few months makes me happy I started going to PC from Playstation during the last few years of the PS3. Feels like PC is far better at future proofing than consoles. But I also gotta give MS a lot of praise for their handling with BC and the ecosystem.

To me it feels like in regards to trusty and safe ecosystems: PC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Xbox>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Playstation/Nintendo

I wonder if this includes patch servers...

If so, this is absolutely terrible, as I am going to need to go and make sure every one of my games is updated to the lastest patch...

I knew it would happen someday, but for the Vita it seems so soon...

There's a lot of good to great games released only digital on those machines. If the rumor is true then it is fucking terrible.

I thought this was good as dead after recent controversy but maybe not after all.

Still I'm kind of over the idea after all the semi-recent unfulfilled promises from games that claimed to be SWAT/Rainbow Six successors (not the PVP side).

Nowadays I want someone to do something like that in VR already. But if one of these turns out amazing I guess I'll get it and delete my SWAT3 install then.

Bought some stuff in the GOG spring sale. Mostly old games of which I heard that are good. Had to use a VPN to buy Stranglehold because for whatever reason I was able to add it to my wishlist from Germany but seemed like I shouldn't have been able to do it since I couldn't find it in the store. Which seemed weird because I remember seeing the game on shelves here. But after reading up it used a low violence version to get released here so that explains it.

You can already do that with a PC. There is no need to purchase a phone to watch anime.

At least with VR gear, you would be able to leave pancake anime behind and discover the joy of 3D anime. So that is a new goal. :cruel:

Or you can stream from your PC to your phone, reducing glorious 4K nipponese culture into barely-discernible 5" footage if hardware is an (unlikely) problem.

Just finished Mafia Remake, it was really good! (bless HB price error)

Now I'm undecided whether to buy and play RDR2 and/or Final Fantasy XIII; I've been told to play other RPGs first, since it's not that good, nevertheless I'm curious for the combat system.
The real issue is that I don't know if I can afford such time-consuming games right now, not even considering Nier and RE8 coming in a month or so:unsure:
If you want to get the most out of FF XIII's combat, then I recommend you go through this video. The biggest problem with FF 13's combat is the 20 hour long "tutorial." You'll also find a bunch of documents linked in the description that discusses the game's combat in detail.

The queue for Astats is bugged and nobody bothers fixing it. What are other good websites to track cheevos? I will use these two for now.

Thanks ! With friends like these, am I right ! :so-good-blob:

Eeeeh
here's how to win majority of battles in FF13:
Abuse SAB
RAV+COM+SAB wins most battles against bosses. In situations where SAB isn't very effective, switch to SYN, buff up and go all in
COM+COM+RAV for when an enemy is staggered helps too

....but yeah I can see why peeps refer to the early 20 hours as 'tutorial' :V

Completionist.me is great and it's probably enough, however if you're looking for an Astats substitute (leaderboards, guides etc.) then check out SteamHunters.

Somehow a police tactical shooter where we see the focus on weapons and raids and not on tactics and non-lethal arrests doesn't have the same appeal in 2021, as that was one of the big points of SWAT4. Unless this is meant to be paramilitary (eg OG R6 and Ghost Recon), then it's slightly less problematic.

What about your tablet? Unless you intend to watch anime outside, you can use it.
Why, on the tablet
I browse, too.
I'm beginning to discern a pattern here :thinking-face:
But at that point I fear we would largely spill into Mental Health Thread territory.

On the bright side, I will soon try consuming something else than useless Internet news. Wakanim / Funimation have a special offer beginning on the 25th of this month. Their trial goes from 14 days to 3 months. SO MUCH ANIME !
...
I will browse the web instead, won't I ? :cryblob:

I'm pretty sure it's meant to have all the non/less lethal stuff like arrests, tasers and beanbag weapons just like SWAT had plenty lethal options. 3 is still my fave.

ETS2 game settings. You can choose between wheel and gamepad. One is super sensitive and jumpy, the other is less so.

I might give it a try later, I'll let you know if I do and find anything that might help you out.

Check the video description at least.

Not that any of it is reason for faith or anything, I'm just saying. We'll see how it turns out when it's time after all, when/if it's done.

You misinterpret my cheeky comment. I genuinely understand that sitting in front of a PC and being able to lie down or be in any context or place you wish to refresh your mind makes you want to be able to watch videos on mobile. I'm just saying that you can bypass the need for good hardware on the mobile itself and save money :).

Certainly, the description is pretty much unchanged and I should have read that first to re-familiarize myself. Still, 'drop the gun' gunfire just didn't sit well with me, but that could also just be tone-deaf marketing
