Remember how Snapshot games expected Phoenix Point to sell 1 million copies within the first year? I'm extremely happy that pc gamers voted with their wallets against these sellouts.

Mechwarriors devs literally stated they sold "houndred of thousands" of copies.
I think one of the earlier documents said that the first exclusives had the 12 months recoup but later was changed to a lifetime recoup model.
My guess is that's because they were not recouping anything in the first 12 months.
i believe PP signed the deal earlier than those other 2 ... and the earlier deals were indeed for 12 months, not lifetime recoup
Technically they did, they just forgot to mention they sold those copies to Epic instead of selling to customers.
i think they were doing pre-orders on their website before they announced they aren't releasing on steam ... so they probably counted those in

also another reason - i'm fairly sure (like 95% sure) THPS was supposed to be the first bnet exclusive (instead of Crash 4) and activision wasn't exepcting to make much money out of it on PC anyway (they might be greedy, but they're not stupid - there's no way in hell they thought a non-cod bnet exclusive would sell gangbusters) - hence the $4m

Edit: I think "Stellula" might be Farming Simulator '19 as the name refers to a game published by Focus Home and Epic gave that game away in late January 2020. So probably late January/early February.

Yeah I checked that site. Also looking at some other names, Eel probably refers to Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Albacore refers to some Ubisoft game. Looking over some news articles, KC: D was an EGS freebie in early February 2020 so it's probably in that same time range.True.
