I think the

I think the real reward Nintendo might be reaping from the switch being so underpowered is games with a development cycle far shorter than the rest of the AAA industry.
Yeah, and they also outsource a lot of work. Metroid Dread is developed by Mercury Stream and Advance War is developed by WayForward.

But that only applies to smaller titles. Big games like Zelda takes lots of time to make. Botw2 releasing next year means the development time requires 5 years.
$60 USS for 2 remastered GBA games!!!!!;
Actually they are remakes. Original games are made up of sprites, and these two are 3D models.

But their Mario 3D collection is scummy. No excuse for that.

Wait, are they just reselling a censored version? 🧐
ptobably to be able to sell it on consoles too
6.7 GB patch to change a line in the credits. :blobxorcism: And saves are incompatible, and can only be converted during a 30-day time window.

it also finallly removes denuvo (which was stupid to be there as gog version has been up for ages)

Super Robot Wars 30 is coming to Steam. It will almost certainly be region locked because of licensing issues.
That's fantastic news and all, but are they really going to skip SRW T just like that? :negative-blob:

In other news, Dark Deity let's gooooo~ :heroblob:

Oh my god, a good Fire Emblem clone you say? I was budgeting for the steam sale and Cris Tales next month, but this is tempting.

I'm a glutton for punishment, so I bought it.

It's uhh... It's actually a really good chapter. After the last two stinkers, I didn't have high hopes, but the new survivor perks are really cool, the Nemesis' Lethal Pursuer perk seems potentially meta-altering, and the Nemesis is a lot of fun. Only downside is that the new map is an enormous indoor map, and therefore automatically hot garbage. It's all good though, since the map was disabled for causing crashes (this game is such garbage).

Nemesis is sweet. His tentacle attack is pretty fun, since it invalidates a lot of short loops and enables some tricky plays, especially when you can hit over windows. He also has great chase music.

I don't know what to believe anymore. One group of people is saying that WFH during pandemic proved that they can be as efficient as they was in the office, but then we have more delayed games than ever due to pandemic. We also got major breaches for gaming companies that can be attributed to WFH conditions. We also got releases with more bugs due to QA testing issues.

So what is real consensus regarding WFH in gaming industry? Are companies mandating back to office just evil control freaks or things are really not that efficient with WFH?

God, I'm way way way way too hyped for smtv, the JP trailer was so insanse and I loved everything about it.
Elden ring and SMTV are the only two games I am genuinely hyped for (to an extent where I want to preorder)
Wish smtv was on PC as well, but oh well emulation here I come.

Insomnia, business as usual. So I said, hey let’s replay Fatal Frame 1 to celebrate the port of 5.
...
Never go back to your past loves.

I’m nearly hate playing it, it’s super hard, camera is shit, character is slow, etc etc.
But the cherry on top (and why I suspect I find the game super hard) ? In camera mode, movement is assigned to the right analog and camera to the left one. It’s basically a taste of hell each time a ghost appear.

Today, the brave adventurers at Four Quarters have revealed the first major update for Loop Hero, focusing on player feedback, quality of life improvements, new tiles and enemies.

New Features include:
  • Save On The Go:
The new update features an option to save and exit the game in the middle of an expedition, preserving your progress.
  • Perks Deck:
A new option that locks boss perks so they don't drop in the expedition perk pool.
  • Escape From Battle:
Safety-conscious heroes can now escape during battles with 30 percent of their resources.
  • Speed Up:
The speed button now includes up to 4x expedition speed and 2.5x battle speed.
  • Inventory Management:
Items can now be locked in the inventory by right-clicking on them.
  • Deck Switching:
Decks can now be switched in the cards, supplies, and perks menus.
  • New Tiles, New Enemies:
Three new tiles and two new enemies have been added to the game, but it’s up to heroes to find them...

Recent console exclusives on Switch will always end up on other platforms within 6 months to 1 year. But SMT5's deal can trace back to 2016, so it is rather hard to tell if it will come to other platforms like those recent games. Assuming the deal is similar to Octopath Traveler, then it will arrive on PC in a year.

Hey now I know why I hate it.

And thinking about it I see more similarities, like both of them think they know better than me how I want to interact with my PC, or how I do so most efficiently. And both are wrong.

Good thing there's still KDE... and StartIsBack.
I do know I'm in the minority of people who don't actually hate how Gnome looks.

But what I really love about it, is the easy way it can be extended and modified via extensions. That works especially well since the basic desktop is so minimalistic, you can easily make it look and function like whatever you want without fighting against existing parts of the environment. It feels like the perfect Linux desktop environment to me. I think the developers of Gnome understand how important this is, as they seem more focused lately on providing better documentation for extension developers as well as working on a set of stable APIs so extensions can actually work over a longer time, without needing updates.

Another demo:

This DEMO called "Order of the Blade‘s murder case" is the first script we created for Mohism, and the length of the experience is about 60 minutes.

You can experience the main gameplay and flow of the game, but the art and voice acting are still lacking, so we hope you will bear with us.

The "Order of the Blade‘s murder case" will not be included in the official version, so you don't have to worry about playing the official version in advance. We are currently working on the official version and welcome your feedback and suggestions to help us improve the game.

Excited for a few things from this E3, but not hopeful i'll get off FF long enough to enjoy them lol.
8665 hours... divided by 24, thats 361 days...wow

ahem... anyway, i looked into my wow characters played times and boy do they add up as well. I got well over 200 days total.

Very well put, that's what I feel about Gnome, as well. Gnome 3 is the reason I stopped using Linux and unfortunately I haven't really found back yet (used it for a while, then stopped again, used it again, stopped again etc.)
but it's always been my plan to go back eventually. I like Mate, Cinnamon and KDE - just not as much as I liked Gnome 2.

Note that this is a port of a TGS demo (well, not really, it doesn't have a time limit and is re-created on the final version of the game, but in terms of content it is), so it's quite different from most demos that go from the beginning of the game until some point. I think this makes sense for a demo since the beginning takes a while to get going, and even then you are still far from unlocking all the game's systems.

Gah a new Windows. I've only just got comfortable with 10 and its taken them years to sort out all the initial problems 10 had. I still hate the auto update push and it restarting my PC whenever it likes. Also whenever it updates it always seems to change at least one setting.

Does this mean the next few years of 11 will be patching it up to a workable level, if so ill hold off. But i bet they auto upgrade everyone at one point.

I find that time easy to understand. I only started playing back in February and I am up to around 400 hours.

Will probably got another 400 by the time endwalker comes out.
I blame the pandemic. Lost one job, and the other shutdown. Basically started living in FFXIV to not feel so alone. Got super attached to the great community. Now FFXIV feels like life, and outside the game feels like shit.

Kinda... depressing/weird. 😅

Had a short period like that last year, ended up playing Terraria for about 300 hours. Still not beat the last boss or done the higher level content though.

Working from home has helped a lot. My work pc is also my gaming pc. So usually finish the day, take a break and then fire up FFXIV.

If I was having to travel I would be less likely to play after work.

Definitely not disregarding your personal experiences, but I've personally had the luck of this literally never happening to me.
Perhaps that might be because I don't leave my computer(s) on for days and days, I turn them off at least once a day, when I'm finished.

I have had a few issues with windows 10. For a while it would randomly wake my PC up from sleep so i had to start fully shutting it down which is annoying because im a comfy couch player so usually like to just put the PC to sleep so i can wake it up from the sofa. That issue seemed to get resolved by an update but i still get up sometimes and the PC has turned itself on over night and self updated.
I think because i upgraded from an old windows 7 install a few issues have just never sorted themselves out. I am tempted to by a clean copy and do a complete fresh install.
