Luckily my key arrived earlier this afternoon so i'm already preloaded up in Steam ready for the unlock tomorrow. Woot.
I want to preorder Life is Strange from CDkeys since its price is really good but the game is releasing in 15 hours and im afraid they wont ship the keys until midway through launch day on friday. I don't wanna get my key over 24 hours after it unlocks, especially since LIS is a purely story driven game thats super easy to get spoiled on. Maybe ill just pay the extra cash and get it on GMG when I pick up Arise.

So it's shallow, but is it fun? I ask this a CIS straight white dude so I'm well aware I don't have to deal with any of the issues this promised to deal with, at all, and things like these should be brought up and dealt with in games more often, and thus aren't really as let down by their ommission, but I'll take a fun LIS game that's shallow on narrative over a great LIS narrative that isn't engaging to play if that's what this is. Since narrative can't really be patched into shape unless there's a lot of cut content for dlc

The game is surprisingly fun and I bet it gets pretty tough once you get deeper in.
Sadly its a gacha and F2P game'd all to hell, so folks beware and don't get into it if you know you're vulnerable to that. I won't be spending on it, and I'll play until I get bored of the flashing lights, but the pixel art looks good and the actual pinball is pretty fun so far.

It is indeed a horrible design decision, and one that only makes sense from the perspective of 'let's try to obfuscate things here to trick people into spending more than they otherwise might'... which being Humble, one can't help but be cynical about.

I mean I understand the sentiment but i just read the spiel on the page and it explains why they're doing kickstarter and its to guage further interest im the japanese theme of the comic they're presenting as it said all of the comic is already finished
It just rubs me up the wrong way. I mean a company as big as CD Project Red can afford to do this the traditional way via market research. I mean, as I already stated they have had dealings with Dark Horse who are a great publisher and over the years have published many different styles of comics and they have there own comics published by Dark Horse as well.
It just annoys me that a company as big as them are using something that was designed for individuals & smaller companies to get the money they need because they where struggling elsewhere. Especially when they could have funded this themselves.
Plus I am still soured on them after the clusterfuck of Cyberpunk. And I enjoyed the game on release...
More i think about it more i am sure that there is no reason for me to pre-load Deathloop XD it will be under 30gb so unpacking would probably take more time than downloading it after release.

Off topic. I bought a PS1/PS2-compatible PS3 a few weeks ago because it was cheap and I wanted to try fixing it. The console refused to turn on with red light blinking. In this afternoon I tore it apart and managed to get it working again!
Although I am in no rush thanks to my PC backlog, time to think what I should play on it soon.
