Apparently Linus also received unit 11 a few seconds into this timestamp. So I wonder if it is more a batch 11 out of X batches or something?
Well Tech Jesus got unit with same number on that metal plate so it could be just mold numbering or something like that. Like it is batch of metal frames from Mold 11 out of 25 or something like that.

Is there something special about Lost Ark that I'm not seeing?

Gravity Rush on PC makes sense in the same way that Dragons Dogma or Valkyria Chronicles do. PC gaming has that big audience of people more willing to try out weirder, more experimental games. And while I haven't checked recently, I wouldn't be surprised if there's still that contingent of PlayStation gamers that bash anything that isn't AAA.

thursday release :)
Wow, what a stunning art style! It looks incredibly creepy. If it reviews well, it will be at the top of my wishlist for scary Halloween gaming this year! Thanks for sharing this.
So that "30 day aura" stuff is a huge turn off for me. That all looks like "make the game less tedious" stuff that's going to be a monthly cost if you want it. I'd much rather they just make the game less tedious for everyone and stick to the cosmetic things. I'm willing to invest plenty of money in a game I like but trying to force tedium if you don't pay is a red flag.
Yeah, I especially don't like how it makes traversal easier and cheaper -- bad/expensive map traversal is so unfun that it will make me instantly dump a game. Discounts with a time limit is even worse. Total lack of respect for my time, and there's nothing worse than feeling like you have to play a game when you don't really feel it because some fake timer is running out. (wow, looks like pets expire, too.)

I like that Amazon games look to be generally high quality and people like them, but this is looking not great. Fortunately, it's F2P.

Mt. Whatever

On the 23rd of this month, there will a NieR Automata 5th Anniversary broadcast. The latter half will be NicoNico Members exclusive but it's just a Q&A with the devs.

More importantly, Taro will be there. The first half will recap these 5 years in some sense, and they also plan to do a giveaway. There will also be an "announcement."

But who knows what it will be... I'm not sure if I should hype or not. Part of me suspects it will just be a tie-in or something. Maybe with that Babylon's whatever game.

I really like Dark Souls series, but what I am going to say might be controversial - I don't think PvP in Dark Souls is good because of terrible netcode/latency. I tried PvP a few times in Dark Souls 2/3 and usually it ended in enemy teleporting behind my back and doing backstab. I hope things will be better in Elden Ring.
From my experience not controversial at all, even the biggest fans see souls pvp as having fun despite the numerous issues simply because there is little else like it.

I played Demon's Souls import completely online. It sucked because eventually you got people who 'cheated' by manipulating their levels through level downs.

So I came into Dark Souls playing only a little online. Then people realized how much help you can get on bosses and then I felt the other way - like I was cheating! Then I got stuck on Ornstein and Smaugh because I was depending on good players (which I never got!) I went back to the drawing board. I decided to not play this way at all.

So basically at that point I only dabble in online. Dark Souls 2 and 3 and Bloodbourne I did all myself, but then opened myself to invasions a bit to play around. I allowed a single invasion in Demon's Souls PS5 (which I won), just to sample it a bit. But I don't want people to cheat TO me or to feel like I cheated the game because I got help from a power player.

So at this point I've played EVERY Souls like completely single player (including all those Dark Souls fights I 'cheated' the first time through).

Will Ubisoft actually have AAA release thi syear?
sounds in line with the old leaks

From the same article
Ubisoft's game production has also struggled. The online game Skull & Bones has been delayed several times due to directional challenges, while Beyond Good & Evil 2, the sequel to a fan favorite, remains in pre-production after at least five years of development, according to people who work on that game. A planned remake of Prince of Persia was also delayed indefinitely.

For me (as someone who hasn't played it yet at all via a beta or some other server) it's that combat looks fun and flashy, there's seemingly a lot of casual stuff to do if you aren't interested in "end-game raid" stuff, the F2P limitations are supposedly quite decent and the company/director have an excellent reputation in the regions where this game is already out.

I obviously can't say yet if I will end up liking it, but it looks very promising to me.

During the most recent investors call Zelnick pointed out the company’s intention to bring more sequels in the coming months and beyond. He said:

"We have the strongest and most diverse pipeline in our Company’s history, comprised of new intellectual properties, as well as sequels to many of our beloved franchises. We look forward to delivering many of these titles in the coming months and beyond."

After that, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive showcased a slide from their potential properties, including LA Noire, Max Payne 3, and Midnight Club.

So Epic Store Exclusive.
I will YT it anyway. The Telltale format didn't evolve into something that is exciting gameplay. And even the story """""paths"""""" are completely irrelevant and pointless from a gaming experience view.

Hollywood is about to stampede into Middle Earth. An array of movie, merchandising, gaming and live event rights to “Lord of the Rings,” “The Hobbit” and other titles from author J.R.R. Tolkien are coming up for auction now that the Saul Zaentz Co. has decided to sell its Tolkien holdings.

I want this to live up to or exceed its EuroJankShock teappings, because it seems like it could be so good. Yet... I dunno. That VA and lipsync was not a good thing
It's the sort of game you play in the language it was made in tbh. That trailer looked dubbed anyway which was why it seemed off.

Portal 1 / 2 coming to Nintendo Switch.

The Direct announced a Front Mission 1 (and 2) remake, as well as Chrono Cross. No talk of exclusivity whatsoever, so we'll probably get more info on other platforms soon.

Klonoa 1 and 2 also announced for a July release. Just mentioning it because we've been waiting for news on that for a while.

Live A Live 2DHD also announced for a world wide release. This is actually a really good direct. Now we wait for PC announcements.

I would be interested in giving Chrono Cross another try. At the time I enjoyed the gameplay elements and some of the cast. But really didn't like the connection to Trigger and the fact that they killed off the main cast of Trigger. However Trigger is GOAT for me and I still replay it every couple of years. It is always so much fun for me. So that probably influences my opinion a little.

However far more interested in Front Mission. For some reason I never played this back when they released. So now it is a case of waiting to see how many exclusivity deals these games have to go through.

lmfao @ Portal games coming to Switch.

So random but really interesting to see Valve doing ports. Apex released on Switch so Source must not be that hard to port.

I see Chrono Cross for Steam. Is Live-A-Live announced for it too?

The official website only mentions the Switch and the trailer only shows a Switch logo.

What's interesting is that Nvidia's Lightspeed Studios worked with Valve on the ports. I heard supposedly that they are doing RTX remaster of certain PC games.
