RE: Soul hackers 2. Having seen the trailer for now the game seems to have a lot of style and music. I hope the combat system is more flexible than the persona games but we'll see.

I still believe part of the pandemic growth is people having a gaming-capable PC for the first time, or after several years of not having it. (WFH office workers who use the company provided laptop/PC for gaming)

Did you mod your games at all? It's weird for an unmodded game resulting in borked save games, but then again, it's Squeenix.
I've been playing through FFPR myself (up to FF IV as of last night) and the experience was a lot better with mods -- as it was always has been.
Ah, the only mods I have for Pixel remaster 1-3 is for Font, and I use a CRT reshade.

Maybe I'm biased because SMT is my favorite franchise but SH is awesome and you should check it out if you have a 3DS.
It's a first person dungeon crawler with a unique cyberpunk aesthetic which really makes it stand out from other games of the genre and it has a great cast of characters. It's relatively short and if you have trouble with any fight just keep in mind that buffs/debuffs are completely OP.

Oh yeah, SF6 is ugly af. Altho it's not that surprising considering the look they've been going for since SF4.

Well I would never replay a JRPG anyways, but I really enjoyed Tokyo Mirage Sessions last year. Way more than for example SMT3 which I dropped 30 hours in (finally returned to and finished it last month). Such a great cast of characters.

It really is mind blowing how random their PC release "strategy" is. Catherine gets a port of the old game, but not of the remake a few months later they put on every other platform. Persona 5/Royal never gets a port, but the pseudo sequel Strikers is here Day 1 with the console ROW release. They port Persona 4 Golden ONLY for PC. SMT3 HD Remasters is Day 1, SMTV is (so far) Switch Exclusive. What ever happened to the Persona 3 Remake Jason Schreiber alluded to?

I don't want to be a buzzkill, but I can't remember a single game with big technical issues that were fixed with a day 1 patch. However, I'm buying ER regardless if it runs like ass lmao.

Soul Hackers 2 looks really good. I wasn't expecting some big new game. I thought it would just be a remaster or some small thing. Steam release day one is incredible news. Would be amazing if SMTV also gets released on Steam later this year. We could be looking at SMTV, SH2 and FF7R on steam. Also Starfield for total RPG overload in 2nd half of the year.

So, Soul Hackers is just 10€ on the 3DS eShop. Of course, since the only way to pay is getting prepaid cards, I still had to spent 25€ to get it. Well, maybe I'll check out the back catalogue of the 3DS before Ninty shuts it all down next month.
So far the game seems very old-school Persona in its art style and presentation. Haven't gotten to any gameplay bits yet, seems like the prologue takes up a bit of time.

It's a week night, meaning some, if not all or at least most, of us have to work the following day...
If they wanted a simultaneous release and do things like this at least release it on a friday night (not that it would change the fact that I'm not staying up all night playing a game, no matter how hyped I am for it or how good it might be, I'm not 15 anymore...). Either way I was just venting a bit of frustration, I waited 2+ years to play DS3 and got in spoiler free, I can wait 1 more day for ER.
