G-Darius was one of my favorite shooters on PSX!G-Darius HD is finally releasing on Steam later this month, on March 30th/31st.
The Steam version will include the additions that will be added to the console versions through a patch (which will increase the number of playable versions included from 2 to 5; the original release had G-Darius and G-Darius HD; after this patch/Steam release, there's 3 more: G-Darius Ver.2, G-Darius Ver.2 HD, and G-Darius for consumer, a port of the original console versions featuring a few extra options).
On top of that, the Steam version will include Steam-exclusive features, among those a mode called "G Darius Exhibition", which will have a couple of boss fights presented in widescreen.
Here's a screenshot showcasing this Steam-exclusive mode:
And you can check a trailer for the Steam version (temporarily removed from the Steam page, since the release details are yet to be formally announced) at the following link:

If you like the game (personally, I love it; the Darius series is a personal favourite of mine) or genre, do consider supporting this release.
Taito, and M2 (who is handling this release, like they did with Darius Cozmic Collection Arcade), have been making a genuine effort with their recent Steam releases (all of them have added Steam-exclusive features/modes), and sadly sales appear to have been poor so far.
Hopefully things will be a bit better sales-wise with this release, to ensure we continue to get these classic arcade ports, with "lavish" M2 treatment, on PC/Steam.
omg, guys guys guys. I was finally able to order a 3070ti!! EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti FTW3 Ultra!!
Finally! holy shit, finally.
My 1080ti can take a much needed rest. (I'll hold onto as a backup just in case, these days you can't be too safe with GPU...)
But still! Holy shit. I've waited soooooooo long. I've literally had the money saved up and sitting in my bank account since these damn things were announced.
adding you tooI finally did it!
Bro, I would prostitute myself for an internet connection that fast lmaoNext game

That older console version is what they now call "G-Darius for consumer", and will be included in the Steam version (along with the extras from that version, like galleries, ...).G-Darius was one of my favorite shooters on PSX!
Also beat that one today.I finally did it!
Speaking of SMTHere’s some copium
Video codecs seem to be the most common bug out there, which I mean, I'm sure they are working hard to get all this things fixed overtime and it's not entirely gamebreaking as most of the cinematic events do happen within in-game environment so rendering is good but yeah, once they figure out how to do the video codec translation, A HUGE CHUNK OF GAMES will become verified FOR SURE.yeah the great ace attorney anime videos are fucked too, guess it's the same issue with video codecs
Not yet! I still need to finish P4G and then play SMTIIIHD.JUST RELEASE IT ALREADY YOU LITTLE SHITS
EVGA is starting to sell cards directly now and they have been doing so for the last few weeks as well. While not every card is going to be available to buy directly I know that the 3070ti is one of the cards that you can get from them that comes in at a somewhat reasonable price with a good warranty. Sure the game doesn't crash but I can't say it's a great experience to see part of something that should be a narrative experience turning into weird bars or some such, it's fine if it's not your first time playing a game but otherwise is meh.Video codecs seem to be the most common bug out there, which I mean, I'm sure they are working hard to get all this things fixed overtime and it's not entirely gamebreaking as most of the cinematic events do happen within in-game environment so rendering is good but yeah, once they figure out how to do the video codec translation, A HUGE CHUNK OF GAMES will become verified FOR SURE.
Don't get me wrong, I know it sucks but this thing in particular takes a huge amount of time given the potential legal problems it could have and video codecs are something quite a bit... tricky Durante might be able to tell you a bit than me for sure.Sure the game doesn't crash but I can't say it's a great experience to see part of something that should be a narrative experience turning into weird bars or some such, it's fine if it's not your first time playing a game but otherwise is meh.
Furthermore if a fix for that is close they should have delayed a bit the deck, because atm this looks like some sort of thing that would be passable for a beta not a final product (yeah yeah early adopters and all that).
If a fix is not coming soon then I don't have much hope because they've been supposedly at it for over six months now. In my experice when you release something whilst having worked on it for so long it means a solution might not be in sight anytime soon and you're winging it (otherwise you'd delay it a bit).
Whatever the case both outcomes look bad imho.
edit: made clearer what I meant
As are the Panzer Dragoon Remake videos. These should work with ProtonGE, but for some reason the game cannot be found within ProtonUp-Qt so I can't download the GE patch.yeah the great ace attorney anime videos are fucked too, guess it's the same issue with video codecs
I'm not saying they should have gone with the option bringing legal issue and I'm not interested in the technical aspect of it either I'm saying they went ahead with a shit decision and it stays a shit decision regardless of outcomes.Don't get me wrong, I know it sucks but this thing in particular takes a huge amount of time given the potential legal problems it could have and video codecs are something quite a bit... tricky Durante might be able to tell you a bit than me for sure.
So yeah, experience is not great in those cases but at the very least in some other cases like SMT3 the experience is way better as cinematics are a smaller portion of the game, so yeah, I totally feel you.
The video codecs issue is annoying for sure, but that's it. Maybe finally Japanese devs won't use obscure, old and obsolete WMF codecs from now on. Some of these don't even work correctly on current Windows versions.I've never said I want the entire steam library to be verified, I'm specifically talking about the video codecs issue, I don't imply anything except the things I have specifically written tbh
that said as soon as it's done charging I'm gonna see if proton ge can fix this thing
You mean Locomalito, the awesome Spanish retro games developer, whose works I frequently post about?I only know a developer (Spanish) which is very much into shmups and he made Super Hydorah. I'm fairly convinced JCB already knew this but maybe he could reach him on Twitter and see if there's something else they can do to promote the genre in general.

Let me guess: Onolumi?I don't know how, but The Algorithm somehow presented me with a Japanese VTuber that seems to only play 90's and early 2000s games.
There's just something... Esoteric... about seeing Thief in such a context.
likely? likelyBy the way if there ever is a Ni-oh 3 I'm guessing it will be day and date of PS and PC?
Not to sound pretentious but for fiber optic that is kinda on the lower side. I have 100Mbps for past like 3 years and my ISP always laughs when I ask do they intend to raise speeds. They always ask me why do I need more. At least a-holes should drop price then if they don't intend to raise speed, i am paying same amount for 3 years XD In other countries things change yearly XDBro, I would prostitute myself for an internet connection that fast lmao
Last year I could finally upgrade my internet from 10/1 mbs to 500/50mbs for the same price. It was a revelation, I no longer need to wait 2 days to download bigger games. Not to sound pretentious but for fiber optic that is kinda on the lower side. From what I'm seeing, reviews are praising the visuals/aesthetic and world, but the gameplay, story and side missions (busywork) are underwhelming. :xSo, Ghostwire is mid
It seems to be very easy to use. Here's a couple of recent launches that may be worth a look:

Sounds like a good Game Pass game for when it launches there a year from now. From what I'm seeing, reviews are praising the visuals/aesthetic and world, but the gameplay, story and side missions (busywork) are underwhelming. :x
Unless Sony has put some fuckery making it not be available on game pass.Sounds like a good Game Pass game for when it launches there a year from now.
