How in the hell are there basically no reviews for Harvestella?

I'm still (probably not even) halfway through P5R so I'm in no rush but not having reviews out on launch day seems weird even by Square-Enix standards lol.

Just a few hours ago, news site "Exputer" has captured 2.5 minutes of Hideo Kojima's newest game, titled "Overdose" - now confirmed with the footage. The post will contain various pictures of the article, but will also include a link to it, as well as the tldr of why does this look fucking not good
  1. Tom Henderson's reporting of Overdose was correct, with this being the footage that was supposedly shown to him. The footage is just as he says; Margaret Qualley walking around in a blue dress in a horror filled environment. EDIT: Something to point out is the player in the left-bottom corner of the screen, holding a device that looks like a phone. This was also in Henderson's report, and is most likely active footage taken by this player.
  2. Even more interesting is the fact that the guy filming this is not only showing off his face tons of times, he's also literally fucking half-naked.
  3. Some mysterious text on the top-left saying "CAMERA PLAYER 1" (pic doesnt show it, but later in the footage it becomes clear). However, what's more interesting is the fact that this game doesn't look all that good, once again hinting at Henderson's report of it looking like it was being played at a mobile device.
  4. The mobile device part is more so supported by the red dots that appear on screen, hinting at a touch screen.
  5. At the end of the footage, which supposedly shows Margaret being captured (and also our filming protagonist in even more half-naked glory), it cuts to a "GAMEOVER" screen...
  6. ...Only for the "GAMEOVER" screen to remove the "GAME", and instead put "DOSE" at the end, resulting in the title "OVERDOSE" - confirming the Henderson report, as well as the icon leak

First impressions from the footage is that it doesn't look all that great. I'm not sure what the footage is; if it's active gameplay due to the touchscreen, or if it's just cinematics based on the whole "sense" of the footage. However, as Henderson says, this will most likely be the Xbox Cloud title that Hideo was developing - due to it being most likely played on a mobile device, as well as, well, it not looking that intriguing.
Hideo hasnt made a good game since Snake Eater

I went to Paris Games Week! It was pretty fun but kind of pointless haha, I just walked around and checked out stuff but didn't play anything, since I'm not much for demos, I rather just play a full game as virgin. Anyway here bunch of pics!

Lego Series S, so cute!
Lovely post. The big ol' Lego structures are amazing! I hope I can go to a con again someday.

Did you buy any weeb shit? :p

Finally, the GOTY has arrived.

Of course all you PC gamers are gonna miss out and cry on this forum about muh exclusivity.

I am talking about nothing other than 94 Metacritic game Goddess of victory

Good luck and godspeed to your wallet. :blobmelt:
One gacha is enough for me. And I just love my boat girls too much considering Azur Lane is the gacha I always return to.

I played through the first level of SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom. It's very funny! and I'm glad they included the LatAm dub.

Too bad it still from THQ but at least I got it from Humble Choice...

got invited into the closed technical test of Hitman 3's new Freelancer mode, which releases in January 2022 - and played a few of the contracts, finishing a syndicate
short points:
  • the loading screen between travelling from/to safehouse and mission locations are a very nice touch which adds personality to the game: some of them you can see in my screenshot above, but they're animated screenshots of agent 47 travelling, playing chess, driving, cool stuff
  • the game missions can be divided into two segments:
    • general contracts: before "showdown missions", you have generic contracts which give you a or more target to kill in any way you like - unlike normal contracts, these usually have random factors to them which make them more "cool" - they also motivate you to do things differently by giving you more "points"
    • showdown missions: these missions are probably the coolest factor of the mode
      • you get a list of traits that belong to a target, and you have to closely monitor 4-5 characters who are highlighted if they follow these traits (behaviour traits (smoking, reading, sweet tooth, drinking), and small appearance traits (tattoos, necklace, hair types))
      • meanwhile you monitor, you have to beware assassins (strong NPCs who are disguised and protecting EVERY suspect, so you cant use them to narrow down your target), as well as lookouts who can look through your every disguise
      • the game doesn't automatically tell you who is who when you look at them, so you have to be really sure when you go for the trigger, but if you do get the wrong target or fuck up the mission, you don't automatically fail, you have to manually exit the mission - you are forced to do this if you fucked up so much that your target flees the map, causing the player to be extra careful to not fuck up
  • the safehouse is a very nice thing: over time as you do more and more contracts, you get more customizability, such as a firing range, motivational posters, bathroom, dining room, even a hospital room where you can lay down and "heal up"

the mode is a very cool feature, definitely breathes new life into the game - unlike the hitman 3 vr, this is amazingly made, and definitely something for new players who want more, as well as old players who quit the game over time (such as i)

Not that I read RPS nowadays but at least with this article I agree with all their complaints and have many more. I guess M&B is no longer for me, I don't wanna invest hours in getting up to the late game stuff only to once again find them all the same, underwhelming, without half the things they were supposed to be adding for Bannerlord and even removing things from Warband. It sucks nobody else tries to do a game like this the last ~18 years it's been so stale itself.
Impressive animations. Why the editor insisted on attacking it with a melee weapon in the first few minutes though...
Seems like it can only be hurt when overheated or whatever and exposed anyway so you can possibly melee it just as well. It's like a Zelda boss, pretty cool tbh.

Damn, I 'm so hyped for this.

I remember Jeff Gerstmann streaming this years ago and being so gutted there was no modern hardware port.

OG Elevator Action was 1000% my jam back in the early-'80s arcade days.
I played so much Elevator Action on the NES growing up LMAO.

Excited to try this version

I just wonder why they're calling all these games Saturn tributes when many were arcade ports so they could go off those versions and more than that if the Saturn versions were downgraded at all and taking these new re-releases with them, even a little bit. Probably not as they weren't on amazing arcade boards or anything (like Taito F3, it doesn't seem great, though it was also 32bit like the Saturn itself) but you never know I guess. I've read even Groove On Fight was a bit downgraded for Saturn and that was on the ST-V which was a Saturn arcade board other than the fact it didn't use discs so. Perhaps they're only using the Saturn versions to have all the added options like saves, menus, leaderboards or whatever extras they may have included back then. Either way, great games and it's good at least someone out there is doing things for Sega Saturn, even if they're all going to be these 2D arcade ports and nothing else (🖕Sega).

Edit: wait for reviews, it seems various City Connection releases have smaller or bigger issues. I guess you can trial them enough with Steam refunds 🤷‍♂️

I also played NIKKE :dmcblob:
Yeah it's pretty much shit, the targeting is absolutely terrible, how did they manage to fuck that on a touch screen I don't understand.
Or more like, I do. They try to get real mechanics with moving ennemies in multiple parts, QTE-like events... but of course that's too much on a small mobile screen, so the autotargeting constantly get in the way, even when you remove it, the game tries to hints at where you should want to target when you're out of cover so you have to fight the controls h24... and even then, good luck finding your tiny white reticle in hundreds of instances of white damage on white UI elements (with white ennemies in white backgrounds all too foten too).

I think they ironically made a game where the only platform it doesn't work on is mobile...

Ugh, where will I find the time for Nikke Goddess of Victory Feet when I already play Counterside daily with a side helping of Marvel Snap.
Huh, you're still playing Counterside? I liked the story a lot, but it felt too cumbersome to do the dailies (among other things), so I called it quits a while ago.
As far as gacha games go, I keep trying the occasional one every now and then, but they just don't work for me.
I'm just hoping Star Rail delivers (and takes more after Genshin than Honkai Impact in terms of design philosophy and casual-friendlyness).

Oh God, I could see me going for a mechanical keyboard, depending on the price. Replacing my Logitech Illuminated K740 keyboard would cost me 99 euros at MSRP. It's not nothing, might as well look into mecha.

Each character frame is physically embroidered and the music is made using traditional instruments.
  • Meet interesting characters and experience moving stories filled with unforgettable moments.
  • Look for shortcuts in the dark to make further attempts easier.
  • Enjoy beautiful hand-painted backgrounds and traditional animation.
  • Listen to medieval-inspired folk music played on traditional instruments

I guess it's big enough.
Yeah no one can resist some good big deck.

seriously though, it’s as it’s a whole new platform in itself, like how some say that a game is coming to steam deck in their marketing
