Was taking a look at SEGA's financial reports for 2023, a few things worth noting:
And this slide in particular is interesting, basically they're saying they're achieving their goal of multiplat/global launches, and the next step is reviving older popular IPs (there was that leaked footage of a new Jet Set Radio last month, after all):
- Sonic Frontiers sold over 3.2m units
- Persona 5 Royal sold over 1.7m units in the new platforms
- One key point is continuing to expanding support for multi-platform releases and global launches
- They're aiming on 12 multi-plat/global releases in the 2024 fiscal year (including Sonic Origins Plus, the new Like a Dragon game that is between 6 and 7, Endless Dungeon)
- They plan on continuing to release remasters, remakes, spin-offs or new takes on old games (Sonic Origins Plus, Samba de Amigo Party Central, Etrian Odyssey Origins)
