I don't understand the thinking of the people who thinks Sony will allow crossbuy with their own launcher.

They increased the price of all PS Plus memberships across the globe without any extra benefits announced so far.
They were first out to increase the price of games to 70$.
They increased the price of the PS5 long time after the console released.

Based on their own history of pricing, there is very little chance Sony will be doing crossbuy even if they make their own launcher. They are pouring a lot of money and resources (apparently) into their PC initative, and they will give out games for free for those who owns their games on console. lol.

tired: bloodborne
wired: gravity rush (best game ever)

Gravity Rush is stylish and unique. But it sure was a pain in the ass to play on Vita. First game i bought for that thing! I guess I wouldn't say no to PC ports.

Still you're talking about Sony make big-dong dollar right? PC players open wallets for Soulsborne so...

I'm almost done with my replay of Trails of Cold Steel IV and I still think someone should have just put a bullet into Cedric's head in the previous game, somehow though everyone seems to want to redeem this fucking asshole

Just found out Ys X is not on PC..... Why?
Will come with the Western release. It's not available in English yet.
Though, if you just want it on Steam and don't care about the language, then Clouded Leopard might have it up sooner or later.

I know this is kind of obvious, but I recently had my Powerline home network replaced with 10 gigabit Ethernet cables around my flat (which are maxing out the 2.5gbps most of my devices have), and now Steam network transfers are so fast that the read and write speeds of my NVMes are throttling after going brrr for a bit.

Basically, my network is no longer my transfer bottleneck.

In home streaming is a dream too. No more lag spikes or worse image quality when someone turns the dishwasher or washing machine on!

To be fair I’m talking about local transfers on my LAN. My internet connection is 150mbps down and 30 up through BT’s “FTTP”.

There are providers doing gigabit up and down for only a little more, but they need to lay all the infrastructure down so who knows when they’ll come to my street.

That's great news for PC+PS owners. I'm curious if Sony will add cross-buy as well.
Cross-buy only will happen via PS platform (launcher) other functions will likely be account related.

Gravity Daze is a cool game and I do have to agree that the controls on the PS Vita were not that ideal. It's the same issues that I had with playing Flower on the PS Vita. It just doesn't feel right. It's one thing to have gyro controls, it's another when the screen itself is the gyro controller.

Sony needs to do something with PC now that ABK acquisition is done. CoD brings in A LOT of money.

Which is still staying on their console and will continue to be the dominant platform for it most likely, as it's the dominant platform for the majority of 3rd parties. I don't think this is going to motivate them to do anything drastically different.

As Jim Ryan is leaving PlayStation, some players thought that was the end of PC ports.

Welp: PC Planning Analyst at Sony Playstation
PC Planning Analyst?? Here's my growth path pitch to Sony: Release all your exclusives on Steam day 1, with a great port, $60 max, no region lock and achievement support.

That will be $50 million. You can send it to my Paypal, thank you Jim :smiling-face-with-sunglasses:

PS: If you release them on EGS make them $30 more expensive lmao

Anyone gotten Days Gone to feel good to play on the deck? I kind of hate the controls, like it’s 10fps but actually is around 40 without vsynch. Is it the game or am I missing a setting?
Not sure if what you are describing is this, but the game has a known issue where the actual game speed can fluctuate slightly for some reason.
There are some steam threads about it where people think that locking to an exact 60 or 30 (not 29.999898989 or whatever might be the actual refresh rate of the display) solves it.
I tried that, but I honestly am not sure if it worked. It's one of those things where it might have just been placebo.

But I recall it also having a lot of that usual animation priority stuff where it can feel like actions take forever to come out because all the movement kind of has a windup, it doesn't feel "snappy" even at higher framerates.

I was looking at the correct order for the Trails games.

How the fuck do they make so many of these so fast.
Japanese release order, so Trails of the Sky Trilogy first, ideally. It's a massive wild ride, so have fun.
Those TitS games are so charming, Falcom was god tier during that era.

Yesterday was 20 years since Max Payne 2 release. Ridiculous how time flies, someone should do something about that.

The game still looks great though. How they created textures from photos gives it an ageless look.

Looking forward to the remakes too.

So I thought I’d support EmuDeck on Patreon to get access to the Windows version and cloud sync functionality.

Let me just say that I spent more time setting up cloud sync on EmuDeck in Windows and SteamOS than I did getting Syncthing to work across both of those devices, plus a Mac, and a Retroid Pocket 3. And by the time I got cloud sync working, I couldn’t test it out because RetroArch fucked up my controllers.

I give up. And if I give up, it’s got to be a complete mess, because I’m very stubborn and very resourceful as far as finding solutions goes.

I know it’s alpha/beta software, but I think they’re on to a real bust with this one. They should seriously consider not releasing this until they’ve rebuilt it from the ground up because it’s fundamentally broken.

I have an itch for a good whodunnit. I hope Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE comes to PC soon. We all know it's happening - just a matter of when.

All DLCs are out, Danganronpa Summer Whatever took roughly 6 months so sending it to die between all big January/February releases is my guess.

Yeah, it’ll be sooner rather than later.

In the in-game tutorial videos, apparently they put the PC settings screen (graphics and key bindings) in there.

Port is probably mostly done and ready to roll.

DecaPolice looks cool.
I wonder why there is no PC version. Or did they look at Ni no Kuni sales and decide that it was a no for them and that the only game that they would release on PC now is that one Mech game.

Kinda sad, and can't really understand why you'd not opt for a PC port. The costs of porting are miniscule, I doubt most Japanese ports have much QA and even if just a couple 100K sales, that's probably still decent ROI for the PC port.

like Rain Code I think it's just matter of time. There isn't a XBOX version either when Phil spent months saying that they would work to bring japanese games to their platform, I suppose he cannot see beyond Bamco games -and some Inti Creates games-.
Maybe I'm wrong but I always thought this game release decisions have more something to do with japanese console market industry protection than other things.
Looking how things are going -that rumored PlayStation PC launcher- the future of videogames seems pretty clear that the better option is a good PC and Switch 2 for Nintendo and some non-Steam japanese games.

Same reason why no Vanillaware game is on PC. Some companies are simply too stubborn
But in the end this is a song and dance I have seen so many times in the last 10 years that I already know how it will end. Spoilers wheter they like it (official port) or not (emulation) those games will be playable on PC

I've installed Stasis: Bone Totem on the Deck. First game was a really cool, creepy and messed up experience from what I remember, this one seems to be even better on every level.
I can now play horror games while laying in bed right before going to sleep. Has technology gone too far?

This is apparently better than it was at launch. And I like 40K

Started playing this again. So far seems more stable both technically and graphically. There seems to have been a few new difficulty modes added. Apparently you can get a bit more variety out of it with the Skill Tree but not played with it too much. There are actually a lot more cosmetics that can be purchased with in game currencies so far. The core gameplay loop is still great, this was the one thing the game nailed at launch.

The big BUT that comes with this is I haven't played enough to see if it lasts longer than last time. However I did manage to get 30+ hours of fun out of it around launch and hopefully I can get at least the same again.

We just don't know why, Megaton Musashi X is coming but not this one, super duper weird, maybe sometime after? NNK PC sales were good so I don't think that's it.

- Rain Code is 100% coming

- L5 games? not so sure but hopefully

- that rumored PS PC launcher is more likely to be a complete overhaul of the account linking system rather than a new platform and even if that was the case, I wouldn't worry about Steam cause' I think PS would still sell their titles on Steam and EGS to have all bases covered.

-Agree with the Switch 2 + PC combo

will the metal gear solid collection be ass?
Barebones but competent enough to be solid.
