Can someone explain to me why people are upset about this? Did BigBen do something shitty?
Personally, I'm not a big fan of Big Ben. Buggy releases, games that launch downright broken, with minimal post-launch support.
Just check some of their games on Steam, and read some of the complaints, and how things were handled (or not).
But, what earned them the honour of being one of the publishers who I chose to add to my ignore list on Steam was when they took The Sinking City to the EGS close to launch, and posted this lovely update:
steamcommunity.com
I mean «it is likely that one year after the release of
The Sinking City on the Epic Games store, we will consider releasing the game on other platforms. ».
Wow, thanks for considering, with no commitments, to release the game in a year on other platforms.

I personally enjoy when a publisher acts in such condescending manner, like they are doing me a favour by allowing me to buy their games.
Like I keep mentioning in my posts, I rather enjoy Spiders games. It's one of the few teams whose games I still pre-order, or buy on day one.
But, depending how Big Ben handles their next game, this may be the end for me.
To quote a episode I re-watched last night of Star Trek: The Next Generation: "All good things must come to an end".
