What happened?

They ESA(People behind E3) Stored all of the information for every person that attended E3 this year as a media attendee in a easily downloadable spreadsheet containing all of their personal contact information (essentially Doxxing all 2,000 people on the list) and it's now just floating around on the internet

That is absolutely fucked up, How do you do this in 2019?
And to be fair here, the video you linked seems to come from a problematic channel, with pro Gamergate, and at least one anti-lgbt videos up. Maybe link something else?

Shitty source aside, I can confirm that the list exists and does contain accurate information for myself and a few acquaintances. I'm just glad the address I used is no longer accurate and the email I used was a business one. Shit is fucked.

She seems to be the main and initial source and doing lots of investigating though. ERA for example is of course trying to pretend that isn't the case and deleting all references to her but imo that's extremely problematic itself and should never be done if a story turns out to be true. Don't get me wrong, pointing out that someone is alligned to whatever circle their alligned to isn't an issue either. I'm just a huge proponent of crediting the starting point of something even if it's something or someone you don't like.

Is it only me? I've fallen into a routine in Dota Underlords, I always build the same team.
I try to differentiate because I get bored doing the same thing constantly buy I do have some units that I'll scoop up as soon as they appear.

There's mentioning the source and there's giving them more eyeballs and money. That it's here on Meta is less problematic, honestly, were are a small community after all, But I actually approve that Era, for example, blocks and deletes this. It's not a neutral action, and terrible people don't need to get more attention and revenue.

Downloading No Man's Sky again to get ready for VR.

Haven't touched the game since the week it released in 2016.

Better to start a new game lol.

Seeing this trailer makes me super excited to play this in VR.

I'm excited to give it another go. Will probably start over. One of the previous updates killed frame rate for me, so I stopped playing for a long time. Thankfully a few months ago some performance patch fixed that all up. Really great to see the team continuing to expand NMS. It's such an awesome game now.

Good to see a new game from the makes of Scratches, i loved that game and spent far too long a few years ago playing Scratches, Dark Fall, Still Life etc
Man, i want to dig out my old Iceberg Interactive stuff now.

I'm going insane trying to remember a game based on a song that's stuck in my head. Here's the info I have:

The song in question was either played in a trailer or a level of the game I'm trying to recall. The song sounds very similar to the first level song of Ninja Warriors Again:

I believe the game is a shmup on Steam, released within the last 2 years and developed by some indie Japanese dev. It may even be horizontal scrolling and use a high res but simplistic visual style.

Can anyone help id the game?

So I've hit the 2 hour / 4 power-up mark of Mable, and I'm not sure where I stand with this game at the moment. I think it's worth checking out if you have Twitch Prime, but I'm not sure I'd recommend picking it up at full price. The dungeon I just completed was a bit too glitchy for my tastes. I also think I broke it. I'm gonna keep at it.

Adventure Pals is pretty cool so far. I think I'm about an hour / 16% in. It's worth playing a bit if you picked up the Monthly.

Are the people listed in that document people who have attended E3 this year, all years and/or people registered on the E3 site? Because I may or may not be registered on the E3 site, I don't remember. Don't want to download the document,

I went into looking to register at the E3 site some years back, but that's all I remember.

It seems you get the discount by buying this bundle (which discounts 25% if you own the first game):

And not through a discount on the game itself, or through a coupon.

That's a curious one.
I play pretty much every shmup that appears on Steam, and a lot of them have music that sounds like Zuntata (the composers of Ninja Warriors).
Some may even appear to be Japanese, and published by Japanese companies, but aren't.

Going by the art-style you described, is it any of these games?

These are side-scrollers (and not Japanese):

Thanks! It was Devil Engine. Didn't know it wasn't Japanese developed. I own a few of those titles but not all and not Devil Engine.

I feel like the Devil Engine song is nearly lifted from Ninja Warriors, but it's still a great tune. Not sure I like the visual style of Devil Engine though.

Glad I could help!

The game was actually my first thought, when I read your post. :)
But, like you probably noticed by my reply, for some reason I read it was a vertical shooter, so I posted a bunch of vertical scrolling shooters. :blushblob:

The game is actually very fun. Hard, but fun.
And, while it doesn't look very impressive in screenshots, the game looks like a great lost 16 bit classic, and looks a lot better in motion.

There's a demo available on Steam, so give it a try!

---

And, for those who already own the game, it seems the developers have hidden a demo for the upcoming DLC in the game.
Here's the details/code to unlock it:

As I understand it, it was a list of this year's press/media attendees, so you should be fine.

But that is just my understanding of what got leaked.
You should probably make sure yourself, even if that involves finding a copy of the document.

I don't think so, but you obviously shouldn't take legal advice from me.

At this point you could probably find out simply by plugging your contact information into google and seeing what turns up.

I am an idiot lalala, I am an idiot, I am an idiot and I feel fineeee...

Turns out my PC is running Nier at 30fps no sweat. I just needed to follow the wiki to the letter and not skip modifying an option in a file that sounded super optional. I mean how optional does 'Sleep timers accuracy' sounds ? Turns out, not at all.

I own my error with great pleasure.

Now to decide on the internal res to use. Vanilla is ugly as fuck, and 16x AF 200% res is still 30fps. Not sure if I should push my luck further. The game doesn't look too bad with those settings, but the protag is still a pixelated mess.

Is Alone In The Dark Illumination worth it for cheap laughs or I'm going to cry in frustration and anger after trying it (love me some trashy action game)?

Also, how's Misao and can you guys recommend me a decent 2D horror? I replayed Lone Survivor a few days ago, and now want to try something in that vein.

For heaven's sake Microsoft, will there be a time when I don't need to keep a fucking reseticoncache bat file in order to fix your shit ?
I really wonder what happened to MS' Windows team. Since the previous WIndows 10 feature update, my status bar programs randomly start losing their icons when the PC has been up for ~1 week.

Oh don't get me started on this. I get random bip and bop sounds from the system without a clear reason. The kind of sound windows make when plugging some usb hardware. When I'm not plugging anything at all.
It's annoying as it is, but with the prevalence of borderless gaming, hilarity ensues (not).

Dragon Quest 11 Switch makes it hard to choose between that and just playing the PC version with a trainer with HP and magic or whatever it's called turned on.

So much good stuff in the DQ11 Switch edition, yet I suck at JRPGs (well, not sure how easy DQ11 actually is though).

The choice would have been so much easier if Square just patched in the new stuff into the PC version.

Well at least there's a demo coming closer to launch for the Switch version. Gonna see how easy it is first.

Yup, that's the kiddy! Icons playing silly buggers? Reset Icon Cache!
I power off my home PC when i go to bed so i rarely see it anymore and i'm usually in VMs, the command line or portable apps at work so my base OS is pretty barebones with not very much installed at all.

Slightly OT but i bought a couple of games today, crazy i know!

I was sure we had a Point-n-Click thread but i can't find it, oh well.

Dunno what the world Hiveswap is but it's been in my peripheral vision for ages so i got Hiveswap and Hive-Sim.

Looks amazing, bought!

I've been meaning to get this for my nostalgia since it was announced so now i bought the bundle.

I also really like what Walter is doing with the Ubermosh and Vinelands experiments so i bought his latest game. Each game is an experiment in a mechanic, each is similar but different and they're cheap and regularly on sale. I have his whole library now i think.

PSA: I am godawful at these games but i can't resist dipping in every so often. Ubermosh is a 30 second survival twin stick shooter with progression. Perfect for destressing and unwinding but if i play too long i start getting wound up again. Perfect.
