So, how is No Man's Sky today, if one has no interest in the multiplayer aspect?
Is there a reason to build bases when you are supposed to constantly be on the move etc?

It's super up to you. I played primarily when NEXT update came out, which is now like 2-3 big updates ago. Previously bases were good as, well, bases, teleporters were relatively easy to build so you could always warp back to home, and setting up a bunch of hydroponics and extractors was one of the best ways to gather some materials (and make money, which I think they nerfed).

Aside from the "main quest" there's actually not any particular purpose to being always on the move either, the game is about exploring and frankly each planet usually has a ton of exploring you could do if you're into landscapes and resource gathering. It's fun to just jump around and see what you find next but I did have some "hub" systems I would go back to for specific things or because I found a really cool planet (the most unique one I found looked a ton like hell from Doom, never saw another planet like it).

I don't know about you guys, but I love that Nvidia just released integer scaling and locked it to their RTX line. :cryingwhyblob:
Not that they've earned the benefit of the doubt but who knows how it's implemented, maybe the old cards really can't do it. Or it is coming later, that has happened before. Or it's Nv being Nv and fuck y'all for not buying our new shit.

this is so random :face-savouring-delicious-food:

could be cool
Developed by Ossian Studios and based on the original module by Luke Scull, this new, enhanced version of Tyrants of the Moonsea vastly expands this former premium module by adding 70% more story and gameplay, as well as a large amount of new art and audio content.

Move your stuff now:

Reminder that if you don't buy RTX card you are crazy and RTX is gonna be baseline after PS5 release.

So get your wallet ready peeps.
Can't wait for the RT implementation on consoles being horseshit and then RT suddenly not mattering at all for the next 7 years.

I have to wait until the Jaws-of-Life arrive to open it up wide enough for NV's liking. :(

Welp, just checked out the Destiny account linking thing and basically what would transfer for me is less than what will be included in the free version lol. Guess I won't bother then, not like I was planning on picking my level ~20 character back up. I'll just replay the first hour on a new character.

I just noticed that I still have the Destiny 2 battle net key from Humble. That's useless now, correct? Anything the key would activate on Battle.net will come to Steam free to play?

Correct, that's what I got and was referring to just a few posts above.

I honestly hope Gears 5 sells like crap at launch on Steam because I'm scared of a 70 euros PC game doing well. It sets a crappy precedent.
It will probably do very well. Already kinda high on the global top sellers list.

Its a meaty game too with 3 different multiplayer components and a campaign that has co-op as well.

That campaign trailer looked so good that it actually got me to install Gears 4 on gamepass.

fucking 133 gb download :frowning-face-with-open-mouth:

Would you say that No Man's Sky is worth it for someone who likes exploration but not survival? Is there enough direction to the game to keep someone like me interested?

Pls Sony just make your own PC client. Just go far away from EGS ffs.

Sweeney must have bribed Sony with some stupid Fortnite bundle for PS5 launch next year or somethin.

It is quite fucking expensive but I also think is worth it, but why buy it when you can play it almost for free with Gamepass.

Wishing all the best for the Orcs must die devs. I'm guessing they need the cash they get from exclusivity deals just to steay afloat.
