it's the job of an interviewer to ask difficult questions, it's not supposed to be PR piece. None of the questions was out of line, and if anything it's dumb how that Valve employee/representative was avoiding actual answers.

I've already bought Man of Medan and have Game Pass ready to go for Gears 5. Other than that I'm gonna actually try to get some of my backlog played instead of getting anything new.

- he doesn't understand (or ignores) that there are NDAs which prohibit an interviewee from talking about stuff that's in development; especially if it's something delicate like dealing with Chinese authorities;
- he's trying to spin it into something about EGS (Tencent; exclusivity; curation).

There is just not enough drama for the gaming media nowadays. They are too scared to attack publishers over actual terrible stuff since it will hurt their future coverage...so they just stick to Valve, EGS and other pc gaming stuff for clickbait.

Oh, I'm very much aware of the bias. Even the tweet by the editor talks about "irresponsible lack of curation" and clearly shows on which side they are standing on. But that doesn't mean I have to hate everything they are doing. It might not have been a well research or prepared interview, but I will never be angry about an interview being critical. At worst, it was pointless, but ideally it can bring about new insights. Whereas an interview that just asks mellow questions is always pointless, and at worst acts as free advertising.
Got my Gears 5 Xbox pad and it's glorious.
Top 3 now looks like this:
1. Sea of Thieves LE
2. Dawn Shadow (even though I got way over 100€ I still regret selling it)
3. Gears 5 LE
Now let's wait and see if the G5 DLC code will sell for stupid prices like the SoT one did. Or still does.... oh crap, people are paying 100€ now. F%§& my lack of patience. And an auction of a new and sealed SoT HDD + DLC ended around 300 bucks. Good thing I unpacked mine and sold both items separately for a fraction.
