I don't get the complaints about the many shovelware crap games that are ruining the Steam shopping experience some users have, it just shows they don't use Steam or don't have the knowledge for it.

The store page is all but a showcase of your gaming activity and preferences. You can filter out and edit preferences of what you want Steam to show you (VNs, VR, plattformers etc.), but everything on the Steam store page, from "feature & recommendeed reel" to special offers, to discovery queue is based around your preferences of what you have played and have on your wishlist. Even the "special page" only shows what Valve specifically adds as midweek and weekend madness sale and games that are on other forms of promotions will show up there either because they are similiar to games you have already played or are on your wishlist.

If everything that shows up on someones Steam store front page is showelware and anime games, or at least a majority of the content is that, it's because the user is actively looking for that content.

That humble bundle is legit trash with agony there

gotdamn what a waste :blobxorcism: :loudly-crying-face:
Dunno about the bundle quality but it feels so out of place.

Like, a horror themed Humble weekly bundle launched on an August Wednesday just doesn't feel right.

It's not too early in the year so you cannot relate it to Halloween, but it also isn't the right time to say that this works as a Halloween bundle.

#dumbthingstorantabout though

I don't.. I don't really understand things sometimes. I am so confused.

So, there's this person? who joins games of Black Ops 4 just to idle and mic spam some weird sermon. I see him every night, standing in a corner, with a slightly different username. Is this a cult that pays for multiple copies of Black Ops 4 just to spam their shit? I googled and there's talk of them doing it in CSGO as well. It's just so weird. I don't know what I would prefer, a troll or someone spreading their message.

Hello I just joined the forum, didn't dare making a new thread as forum is quite calm. I have been looking at the Ocean Classics Bundle, which sells old Ocean Sodtware games, but one thing is disappointibg: they justported DOS games, which are not the best versions for some of them.

I am hoping for a volume 2 bundle with beter quality from Piko Interactive

Welcome! :minos_emperor:

I have to say that I had no idea about those games but I might take a better look on some of these later, especially Central Intelligence. Seems to be a game I would dig.

Gotta say that if it's 3AM, I'm almost alone in a server like I used to do back when I played CSGO, and one of these join and start with their sermon or whatever it is I'm the hell outta there and would get right into my bed.

Welcome to the council :cat-heart-blob:
Yeah unfortunately we don't always get the ideal version of a game released on Steam. You could give the DOS versions a shot and if you don't like them or don't feel like you're getting the best experience, then you could always emulate the better versions of these games. Keep in mind that these games specifically often go for peanuts over at Fanatical. I believe that's where I got them from, probably in some pretty cheap bundles.

Feel free to make a new thread, though. Sometimes stirring the pot can make an exciting discussion.

My mouse started double-clicking today. It's a Logitech G603, just a year and 5 months old....

Anything I can do to try and fix it? If not, is there a better wireless alternative out there? (Yes it has to be wireless cuz my PC is tucked behind my TV.)

You can try disassembling it and "dusting" it out

That little white tabby looking thing is actually the thing that acknowledges your mouse even clicks so if you clean out the top and bottom of it with like rubbing alcohol and a qtip

plus it looks like the entire thing gets snapped back into place whenever you change batteries so maybe its just got dust trapped in it from swapping out those

if all else fails just slam it on your desk and maybe that will work (I mean you're looking for a replacement)

Thanks! Actually from the picture you fetched I just blew some canned air on the switch and it stopped double-clicking for now lol. As you said, some dust must have gotten inside or something?

I always clean the exterior of my mouse whenever I decide it's "computer cleaning time" but I guess I should start cleaning the interior every now and again too..

Yeah I have a logitech something or other that double clicks on the left and right and I disassembled it but all I ended up doing was breaking my side buttons.
I then subsequently fixed them but getting them reversed somehow. So now whenever It acts up I just bang it on something because it makes me feel better.

This is really beautiful for a last gen game. I thought the game was... "browner" than this.
How far into the game is that screenshot? Some of the later levels tend to be rusted out ships and the brown goes way up. When it isn't getting in your way, it truly is a great looking title

New sakura wars game will not be turn based like its predecessors

New yakuza 7 was shown today and is stated to switch to a turn based system unlike its predecessors

Turn based? Meh. that's not what I want from my Yakuza games. I'll play it, but despite it, not because of it.

I wonder if sales will suffer due to this.

Japanese twitter is in flames lol. Very unhappy reactions.

Me as well tbh. I don't dislike turn-based systems, it's just not what I want or expect for this series.
Very weird that they thought it was a good idea to have Sakura Taisen as an action rpg and Yakuza as a turn based combat. What a way to piss off two fanbases lol

Well they said they were open to going back to the more classic beat em up gameplay in the next installment if fans didnt like 7.

I for one am happy. Yakuza is fantastic but RGG Studio trying new things is a great way to keep the series fresh, there are plenty of fantastic games in the series people can enjoy to hold keep them busy until Y8 if the turn based is that much of a turn off. Hell by the time the rest of the series comes to PC, 8 will probably be out in the west.

Hell I dont even like turnbased combat, Ive always been a real time combat guy but the April Fools gameplay looked super weird and dynamic, so I'm definitely down to give it a shot.

I'm torn between feeling the need to support the series I love and supporting something I don't want lol

Huh, my Logitech mouse has also started double clicking since last week. It's a 5-year old one though which came with a keyboard as a pair.

Slamming it to the table sounds like a decent idea.

It is a well established fact that turn-based combat makes every game better. Every. Game.
:blobno:

I'm not surprised about Sakura Wars' shift in genres after finding out that Sonic Team was co-developing it. They sure love pissing off their fans with gimmicks and unwanted changes.

Being a Sonic fan is pure suffering.
Its like they reverse brainstorm for the worst ideas

Hey !

Ocean... I've played countless of their games on my Amiga.
Oddly enough the only one on that list that I'm familiar with is Pushover... which is one of my favorite Amiga games... and one of the rare titles my mother actually tried (that, Zoom! and that isometric (?) Batman***).

Speaking of publishers and cool logos, I always wanted to own a Psygnosis t-shirt...

Edit: *** stupid autocorrect... I meant pac-man. I checked and it's called Pacmania and it was in fact isometric.

The more I think about it the more it pisses me off. At least they should copy Xenoblade’s combat, not those lame ass persona 5 mechanics.

It's interesting that Nagoshi decided to make Y7 a turn-based game, not sure how it's going to work tho, if the game paced like a beat em up but plays like an RPG it'll be a disaster.

Still waiting for Sega to port the rest of the games on PC, they probably don't want to burn out the publc considering we had 3 games in a relatively short timespan, but I have an itch to play Y6 and Judgement, in fact, they can port everything and I'll buy it again, except for Dead Souls, fuck that game.

Maybe we all should wait until a proper gameplay footage is released, before bringing the pitchforks out? Getting out from their comfort zone is probably what a long-running series needed.
No offense to RGG Studios but they can experiment with gameplay if they’re bored and not call it Yakuza 7.

As someone who loves turn based games im completely down for it in yakuza but I was expecting pissed of fans the moment I read the news 10 minutes ago lol

Would have probably been smarter to reserve that for a spinoff

They probably fully expected it to be a polarized response. Since right after announcing it they said they would revert back to the old gameplay in future installments if people didnt like the turn based combat lol

I'm up for trying out whatever they bring to the table with Yakuza 7. Sure, more often than not a huge change doesn't fully work out and the few that do aren't always breaking new ground with their changes, but there have been some that are amazing.

Final Fantasy Tactics might have been Square's take on Tactics Ogre, but for many people it's their favorite FF game. Heck, there's people that hate the mainline FF games yet love the Tactics series. And sure that wasn't a numbered FF game and it was still turn based so the situations are a little different, but sometimes it can work.

Or how about Mega Man Battle Network? Those games are fantastic!

We'll see where it ends up I suppose and hopefully it's one of the rare good ones. :)

Obviously Nagoshi has faith in his team to make the mechanics work in a Yakuza game, hence this departure. I still believe there is some merit in bringing something new into the series in an unexpected way, and maybe bringing a segment of "classic" RPG fans into Yakuza fandom. (maybe some Persona fans too)
