Nintendo is the easiest to deal with. Except for the small detail that he has to pay for keys which blindsided him. Well I assume he means only in the console space but interesting to hear that releasing something on PS4 is a bit of a hassle.
I thought Microsoft was also easy to deal with for Indie devs? I'm not sure if that's right but if it is, something doesn't add up. And it cost money to get keys? Do Sony and MS also charge money for keys?

Let me guess it's okay for them to charge money because that's how they are able to keep cost low for devs using their dev kits or something like that.

Just to make sure was that dev saying that they were going to release the royal edition as physical only via LRG?

By the way I use to use LRG in the past but I'm no longer a fan of theirs. I'm not sure why they don't just do open orders for CEs even if they take a long time.

They tried it before with Skulls girls on Vita but that only had issues because of the dev.

Oh I can only imagine what Epic and Private Division will say about the game sales numbers on PC. MS and Obsidian will both say it did really well and a lot of people played it (via Gamepass of course, why pay $60 when you can pay under $5 USD to play it for a month).

I think technically the Gamepass version will actually have more features like achievements compared to the EGS version?

Having more features than EGS is not a particularly high bar to clear but yes. It already has pre-load and chances are that it will have cloud saves and achievements.
If it is setup correctly, the Xbox Console Companion app will also give you playtime tracking.

I was checking my humble keys list for a gift I got, and turns out I still had an old unreedemed key around... a Broken Age OUYA key.

Anyone with an OUYA wants it?
I don't know if you can still redeem them, the store was closing.

I posted a couple I had a while back, and I don't believe anyone redeemed them.

I also had fun in Fallout 76 during beta and free weekends. Especially with one other person.

You just blew my mind.
Why? :)

Gonna ask here as well:

Fanatical Pick-and-Mix Horror Bundle: Fanatical

List of games here: [Fanatical] Horror Pick & Mix Bundle 💜

Anything in here that stands out?

I'm interested in Usurper and I know that Devil Daggers is really good, right? (though that one is probably not my genre).
If you like the genre, From Beyond Prologue is very enjoyable:

STASIS as well (and, if you want to add the free spin-off CAYNE to your account, the DLC is included in that bundle)

I haven't played Usurper, but I enjoyed the previous game by the same developer.

BUTCHER is also fun:

There's plenty of interesting titles there to fill a 10 game bundle.
I own all but 3, so I went for a 3 title bundle. :giggle:

To find out there was still something resembling a store somewhat recently.
Indeed. :giggle:

Like you, I was checking my Humble page, and I noticed I had OUYA keys for two games.
One was Broken Age, the other I'm not sure, but it was from another Kickstarter campaign as well.

"Now, Longfield doesn’t believe gaming itself is a social harm. Contrary to the World Health Organisation’s classification of Gaming Disorder as a disease, the report acknowledges that online gaming can help develop social bonds and strategic skill development."

...what ?

Thanks for the recommendations :)

I think I'll pick Usurper, Stasis and The Padre (which seems like it could be a Hidden Gem based on the very little amount of reviews that are all very positive and the style looks great)

Gonna be checking out The Butcher as well, since I already have it :)

I am still waiting for 76 on Steam and i will buy it. I enjoyed the Beta enough as a solo player, its just more Fallout.
Depends on why someone plays Fallout, for me it was always the story and NPCs and 76 has none of that, making it less to not Fallout at all, an empty shell. Don't have high hopes for big patch adding all that either, imo you gotta plan your game around that, it's not something you can plug in later.

new steam update seems to have screwy shelves, at least on my end.

after a restart, it looks like my recent (non-steam) collections are now empty. very weird.
Extremely weird considering Valve broke non-Steam collection at the start of new library beta stating that they do so just so i can't happen again.
And here we are... :blobweary:

Speaking of EA and Steam, they should really make a new Bad Company. It feels like a missed opportunity.
Bad Company 3 is rumored to be 2020's Battlefield title actually.

The problem is:

A) I have zero trust in them after the shitshow of balancing, bugs and content dearth in BFV.

B) DICE themselves years ago said they had no idea what people liked about Bad Company.

C) A significant part of the team "DNA" that built those games like David Goldfarb (designer on BFBC, BFBC2, BF2) or Gustav Tilleby (art director on BF2, BFBC2, BF3, BF4, BF1, Battlefront 2 that left for Söderlund's new studio) are gone from DICE altogether, or in other cases often moved onto different roles within the company.

I'd love for BFBC3 to be good, but I have no idea what it'll turn out like under the current iteration of DICE.

But no mods support.
This is what kills it for me. It sucks to have to wait, especially after all the good reviews. But there's no point in playing it once on gamepass and then maybe again later on Steam after people mod it. I just don't have that kind of time. There's also a very high chance that by the time it comes to Steam, I'll have lost interest. Oh, well! Steam saving indiez again, since that's probably what I'll spend my $60 instead.

Pathway is currently on sale.
The game recently received an extensive update based on user feedback, and reviews of the latest version are very positive:

There are bundles of the game with other titles from the developer and publisher, so if you own some, you may get an even better deal.

Great news on TOW reviews.

November: The Outer Worlds + Death Stranding + Steam black friday sale
December: RDR2 + Steam winter sale

Also maybe MCC (if that ever fucking comes out)

These next couple of months are gonna be lit 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

And with the strong possibility of DS coming to PC later I think I will buy it physically on PS4 and sell it when I'm done to help fund my RDR2 purchase on Steam in Dec.

All of that + Gamepass = lots of money saved :)

Another Bad Company (done well) would be enough to get me back into the series.

And just because:
Never played any BC, but I'm thumbing up due to your song. It's funny how "Bad Company" is the band name, album title and song all at the same time. Bonus points for originality.

And still only my second favorite Bad Company song:
