I fucking knew it.

I hope they take all the time they need, but still, all these delays recently....

Damn it, almost no chance to take some time off of work in September...
But I hope this means they're avoiding crunch as much as possible.

most obvious delay ever
Agreed, even I saw it coming. There was too much missing at the 2018 demo - the entire hacking systems, for one and them cutting 3rd-person cutscenes was another. September sounds more reasonable, though it may be longer.

Phoenix RISING With all these great games coming this year are you going to have to build a Thunderdome for your contributors to fight for keys or will it be a cage match?

I've just realised i started a thread on the Cyberpunk 2077 announcement back in October 2012! It dies after three posts but was resurrected three years later for two posts then three years after that and again this week. lol! Bloody hell my account there was made 17 years ago! o_O

I'm on a no-spending set of rules as the wife and I are trying to get out of debt. This helps because I don't need to cry because I can't buy it.

I'd probably have to play it on medium anyway. :p

I feel you man. About a year ago I bought a house that I'm slowly renovating (that's why it's a house and not yet a home). Between the mortgage and the cost of the renovation it's been hard to justify any leisure spending. I haven't bought a new release in all 2019. I've been borrowing games (and the PS4 since mine broke down) from the same friend that I did when I was 12 ._.
I had to wait until he was done with Sekiro, RE2, Fallen Order... etc.
And there are many games that I want to play and he does not (PC games, mostly DIsco Elysium) so I'm waiting for deep discounts. But luckily there's always the backlog and the free games, because in the next few days I have to shell out almost eight thousand Euros that I do not yet have. Tough 2020 ahead but I'll make sure 2021 is going to be great.

Yeah, I purchased A LOT of games through the years. I could probably not buy a game for the next five+ years and still not be finished with my games.

Our home needs a lot of work once we get out of debt. We really want to pay off consumer debt, student loans, and mortgage as fast as possible.

Some new information came out in the last few days.

Cyberpunk is already rated:

Besides that there was an investors call last week where they said that the game is finished and they area working on bugfixing and polishing (Day 1 patch):

There will be DLC similar to the Witcher 3:

Financial notes for 2019 (Gamespot and Gamesindustry.biz, PDF: Management Board Report CD Project Red):
  • Witcher 3 on Switch sold ~700 000 copies.
  • Witcher 3 is still very popular. 2019 was the second biggest year with around 6 million units sold.
  • The Netflix show helped: The fourth quarter of 2019 was the best fourth quarter ever for CD Project Red.
  • Witcher 3 sold ~28 million copies since its release.
  • Revenue of CD Project Red is up by 44 percent compared to 2018.

Yesterday CD Project Red released a gif of a car in the Badlands (Badlands = surrounding desert area of Night City):

You can see something on the horizon of the gif which is probably Night City:

What we saw was honestly pretty promising, but in terms of general gameplay there hasn't been much. I still look forward to it quite a lot. The layers and their narrative/systemic weaving into the Brain Dance phase was pretty neat!

I have an RTX 2070 Super hooked up to a 1080p TV, so I'm hopefully gonna get some good framerates with DLSS turned on. My experience of DLSS so far has been really excellent, so I'm hoping I get a decent experience.

"One of the things we thought about with the weapons is that in Cyberpunk, we have a very overt weapon culture. It's very different to the way weapons work in our world. This is like American gun culture just gone crazy, you know?"

"Everybody has a gun because violence has been taken to the extremes. The idea that you may be mugged on your way home from work is extremely common, or your apartment might be broken into at the weekend. So, everybody's carrying a gun."
