Well, yeah, forgot to add the technical side haha- Steam wishlisting is much more important for visibility than EGS wishlisting.
I read somewhere that Steam wishlisting also helps the game in search engines like Google, so Steam wishlisting isn't just about the Steam store, but for around the web too.
They still had plenty of titles on their store, as the EGS logo and 'generic' PC were on quite a few trailers, just no exclusives to mention/drop. Epic has their own thing coming up don't they? I'm sure well learn about new titles thereI didn't expect Epic to be so completely absent at E3. Feels ominous.
they don't have anything coming shortly or even confirmed in public, even the supposed E3 event was not real. They still had plenty of titles on their store, as the EGS logo and 'generic' PC were on quite a few trailers, just no exclusives to mention/drop. Huh, well then treat no news as good news I guess.they don't have anything coming shortly or even confirmed in public, even the supposed E3 event was not real.

I feel with the enormous amount of upcoming games, Epic will have big problems not only because it is not an open storefront, but the visibility for games on the store is trash.
Unless a game is advertised on the front page or on a sales page, it's very unlikely to sell well on EGS. We've also seen this on the Switch, which was the holy grail for indies until more games were coming to that platform. Steam is the only digital storefront with decent discovery tools. I have no idea where the narrative that indie games are sent to die on Steam is coming from.
I have no idea but nothing happened in June 11 xDWait...what? So what happened to the event the jackbox devs mentioned on Twitter?
I guess? IDK heheHuh, well then treat no news as good news I guess.
then it was just a showcase of their game, not an store event, but they didn't have any announcements to do AFAIK.
It happened, and....dunno..
And no, the next Jackbox game is not EGS exclusive.
EGS going the MST3K route and using Jackbox streams to kickstart the store?

I don't mind if they're funding development instead of buying exclusives, hell, I'd support that.
Epic streams a lot.
Epic themselves or Epic allowing other devs to use their Twitch account to stream?
Remember that in the documents from the Epic v Apple case there was mention of two moneyhat models, "aggressive" and "winding down". I think that most of their moneyhatted games sold like crap and they are winding down.
Any game published by them was literally funded by Epic games, and they are assuming all the risk.I still have to see one game made possible only by Epic, I'm glad they appear to be winding down but I still don't trust them lmao, I need more proof
From what I understood regarding Epic Publishing, Epic is completely funding the game, the salary for the devs, paying for the marketing etc. while the devs get's to keep the IP themselves. It's a risky move because with Sony, MS and Nintendo first party titles, those companies knows their devs, like Playground and Naughty Dog, they've grown with them and they know what Playground or Naughty Dog is capable of doing, they are like "family" in a sense (I know, odd word). What Epic is doing on the other hand is risking a lot of money on developer they might know know how skilled they are. Making a successfull game takes a lot of skill and Epic won't have that relationship with the devs they partner with under their publishing label.
In that regard I will actually give Epic some respect. What they are doing is risky and the games can easily fail, while the other companies like Sony with Insoniac or Naughty Dog, Sony know what they can do and has helped them grow over the years.
Recently played games now display when right-clicking on the Epic Games Launcher system tray icon.
That's probably why Epic is only publishing games from devs who have been very successful in the past before.
This said, Epic publishing these games is much better than their money hatting, and I don't mind it at all. I won't buy any of these games tho, since Epic is far ahead on top of my "shitty games companies" list. No way I'll be giving them my money.

I doubt it. If Activision even bothers putting it on another platform, it will probably be Bnet.Do you guys think that Tony Hawk will hit Steam after the 1 year?
My room mate got a PS5 and I'm kinda itching to buy it there since it isn't confirmed for steam and its Activision.
I have no clue. I also have to wonder if they include preorders in their top sellers. The lack of Battlefield 2042 when it updated is extremely odd.Yes, I can tell you this is true.

No, it won't or at least I don't expect it to appear on Steam.Do you guys think that Tony Hawk will hit Steam after the 1 year?

Yeah, it's weird, sad that we can't keep a clear track of this chart U_UI have no clue. I also have to wonder if they include preorders in their top sellers. The lack of Battlefield 2042 when it updated is extremely odd.

well, as we said, those documents that leaked while official were from 2019 and it a clausule that literally said "subject to changes" so... yeah, it's timed and it will probably come with 1.0From the Ooblets devs:

I saw this mentioned on Reddit, but that slide that showed the games which are supposedly lifetime exclusives was missing additional context. The full slide shows the games listed have the lifetime Minimum Guarantee deal which is what Epic supposedly uses for newer exclusive contracts. Originally a game that didn't recoup its Minimum Guarantee after 12 months would start to earn revenue normally, but newer exclusives require games to recoup their entire guarantee, even if it takes years. I think that's where the confusion that games like World War Z were lifetime exclusives comes from. From the Ooblets devs:

Edit: I need to check something. Big if true.
Edit²: FF7 Remake will be on EGS for sure.
tl:dr - FF7R is on EGS and it will be a timed exclusive if nothing changed all the sudden. What's this?
