I assume that the upcoming Choice bundle won't have the Enhanced version of Metro Exodus. And it's probably only the standard game

Their FAQ says don't bother running this version without ray tracing card lol.
The DLC's for Exodus seems to be pretty long (almost 10hrs) and has positive reviews. So is Gold Edition a must buy at this point? Will upgrading the Humble version be even more pricey now because of enhanced?

I'm a huge fan of the first 2 Metro games and still haven't played Exodus. The 280X I had at the time didn't feel like it would be up to the task. Now that I have a gtx 980 I might give it a shot (standard edition of course).
Of course I can also wait until I have a PC capable of playing the enhanced edition but that's not happening any time soon.

The way I'd go about is try to ping between each other, then grudgingly work down the possible list of issues. The fact you can't even access a cmd window tells me you need to burn some incense and format the hell out of it, or at least go ham on the anti-viruses.Yeah, I... I just don't know. At least the last time I tried, just one of the two computers could see the other, but now nope.

And my TV often (but not always) appears two times in the network windows. Nothing makes sense anyways and I don't care about that, I just wanted to send / receive files to the PC next room.

as ezodagrom wrote, that is normal. when you use windows+R, it will just execute whatever command you put in, and then it'll be done and close.

I think this is a great timming to recommend once again Metro 2033/Redux. First has been given for free twice (most if not all should own it) and even if you don't like much FPSes with little stealth mechanics (like me) is a really good game.
Also it lasts about 10-12hours long in case someone is concerned about that.

But first a question. Am I dumb and the Network icon I have on my desktop isn't for fucking Networking ? Because It detects my TV (sometimes multiple times) and my modem, but NOTHING ELSE !

It's supposed to show the PCs in the network too, yeah, but knowing MS they may have broken it...
If you know the other PC's name, you can use \\PCName instead of the IP. Though, I don't have any warnings like that (possibly because I turned off user account control?).
I'd go with the latter because GSync is probably the best piece of technology we've seen in the last 10 years. 200 bucks more is quite considerable tho

200$ is a lot so maybe just go with the 34" and save the money for a future 4k upgrade. Tho if you have a good pc and can play games at high hz (and don't care for ultradwide) then go with the expensive one. It all depends on what type of stuff you play/plan on playing.
I currently play on 1080p144hz and no chance I would give that up for a 1440p75hz even with ultrawide. At same time no chance in hell I would buy an expensive monitor (400$+) unless its both 4k and 144hz. I think those are stupid expensive for now.
I already have a 1080p144Hz and honestly I don't mind it. But an upgrade would be nice.
It's a tradeoff, obviously. But I'd say that if gaming is one of your main use cases VRR is more important than ultrawide.

I assume that they stopped working on Battletech because they don't own the IP. More specifically: Paradox Interactive does not own the IP.
Paradox loves to make games based on IPs they own. Because of this they also bought White Wolf (World of Darkness / Vampire: The Masquerade).
They are trying to play the long game with this. They know that not all games will be super successful. But when a game is successful they can continue to sell DLCs and new games for years without the need to involve a third party.
As far as I know Microsoft is the current holder of the Battletech license.
Wild speculation: Perhaps one of Microsofts internal RPG studios is working on a Battletech game?

(IMHO, once you add dynamic button prompts once which can be quite some overhead, adding different sets of glyphs should be easy. Of course, I've also seen things that were implemented in such a way that each additional set requires significant manual effort)

I only see one option here. VRR.
With Ultrawide, won't you run into problems with games that don't support it? You'd have to rely on hacks, for what I understand.
For widescreen info and fixes you would need to check the PC Gaming wiki, Widescreen Gaming Forum and their subreddit as they closed the forum due to google tagging their links as malware for some reason. Also, check the WSGF Steam Community and the Steam Community pages for a particular game you're interested in.

Playing anything even approaching 90-120fps is just... My eyes feel like they have left the stratosphere. MHW is glorious, Nioh 2 is crispy clear, it's a joy. Coming from 4:4:2 streaming to that is quite the visual whiplash. I honestly am going to need a framerate counter to even tell the difference.
It's a free upgrade. Anyway, Metro Exodus and Control are some of the few (former) EGS exclusives that I wanted to play. It's great to see both games on Humble Choice, since I probably wouldn't have bought them otherwise. Big publishers signing exclusivity deals is nothing but greed imo.

Here's a compromise. In a manual devs put url to inputs cheat sheet which has all controllers: square on ps4 = Y on x1 = wii whatever etc.
Then when you see press square you just follow that url and see that on your xbox controller Y input is expected. You press Y.
Now circle prompt appears..

I must give back my gamer card here. I’m afraid that I just don’t get gsync, or hdr for that matter. I suppose I need a point of reference when all I can obviously get is one version running at a time.
Do what I play feels good to play, or is the IQ to my liking or not, that I can get. But I lack the expertise to imagine what it would feel like in another setting, so to speak.
I should maybe try to play a locked 30fps game.

My understanding of gsync:
If you one has a 120 hz monitor, and the game they running is 30 fps or 60 fps and can't go higher
gsync smoothes it/fixes this issue so no stuttering or whatever happens when playing.
Oh yeah you remind me that I totally get the opposite benefit of VRR with the elimination of having to choose between tearing and vsync.
About your point, maybe I lack the point of reference of using a 120hz monitor without VRR.
