That's really nice price for two games. Now waiting for the reviews to pop up
Some quick impressions on that VASARA Collection:
-I played a couple of minutes of each of the two older games, and everything seems to be in order; you have the usual options you may expect from a shmup (including the option to rotate the screen, to play vertically, disable wallpapers, and so on); by default, the games have a soft, overly filtered look because of a filter, but you can disable it in the options;
-there's also a bonus mode, called VASARA Timeless, that is actually constructed with new assets (it's essentially an endless, score based game, built on Unity with new assets made by the team that is publishing this release, inspired by the VASARA games); some things in this mode look good, some look kind of cheap; it's a mixed bag, really.
-there's also a few extras, like a gallery of artwork (most from that bonus mode).

For the current asking price (which would be like a couple of credits on each of the arcade machines), it's worth a buy.
Nothing particularly essential, but the team behind this release clearly tried to offer a good package, even if the new mode/game VASARA Timeless is a bit of a mixed bag.

Just ordered the Nvidia shield TV on Amazon with same day shipping. It's being shipped through Lasership. They delivered my new Xbox One controller + wireless adapter safely, but I am worried that they'll steal my Nvidia shield :(

That new mode sounds very interesting, it looks like a lot of effort has been put into the collection.

I love my nVidia Shield TV. If you have an nVidia card, use Moonlight instead of the Steam Link app as I find it works better.

I have heard of moonlight before. I had it on my shield portable but I never used it since my internet isn't high enough to stream games on it. After I get my gigabit internet installed, I will try it out.

Taiwan x Lovecraft x Salt&Sanctuary

The interesting thing is that the publisher is their parent company so they handled everything on their own, I wonder if they'll manage to release it.

If you asked me what rpg has a better battle system than Divinity Original Sin I'd draw a blank. What do you guys say?

Its masterful.

Probably one of the few games you will ever play where the enemy can do to you everything you can do to them.

One of my favorite moments in gaming this gen was playing that game and seeing enemy AI run over to another dead enemy body to pick up dropped health to heal themselves. And all of it happened on their same turn within their allotted action points. I remember yelling "WTF" at my monitor when it happened. It was mind blowing to see stuff like that :D

New additions to a game's store page:

Thank you Gaben for listening to the community. Ya games showing up that I already purchased on another platform and don't really have much intentions of buying on Steam kinda sucks especially since I don't want to put "ignore" since I'm assuming that means I will see less games like it in my feed.

..... I've heard of this series before

should I be worried?

So when is PSN going to allow me to select the type of stuff that I'm okay with them showing me? Or can I simply not ignore COD because of how much money it makes Sony? I do find that funny though how in my 5 years now of using Steam that COD stuff has never really been "pushed in my face" despite me playing a lot of FPS games on Steam and yet that's basically what gets pushed on PSN.

PS we can all agree that the DxM Marvelous game is coming to PC after one year and is just a one year exclusive on N/S?

almost definitely the latter

dunno if one year ... but i'm sure it'll come eventually (and so will MUA3 - mark my words)

Working 10 hours a day sure does make it impossible to play videogames right now,

This is where I'm at lol. 24 hours of my weekend was at work, which barely left me time to eat, sleep, and do my usual daily things. :suicide-blob:

Monday I had off, but Tuesday I'm right back on the work beat. ... People wonder how I got sucked into phone games/gacha it's because I literally have no energy or time for anything else.

... Not that I mind terribly. FGO is great if you're a Nasuverse nerd.

Boy, does Hellblade make for a great 2 hour walking simulator type game.
Now why the hell did Ninja Theory add actual gameplay to the title and stretched the game to lasg 7 hours?

Steam needs to stop recommending me bullet hell, shoot 'em ups and something something when they cry games . I can do something about the first two, but it really wants me to play one of those when they cry visual novels huh.

After the third or so round of "puzzles" (read: tasks), I quit and uninstalled. I like what they were going for from an audiovisual and narrative perspective, but I couldn't get myself to push through the game. The walk speed was also way too slow.

I personally enjoyed a lot of the game-play in Hellbade, especially the puzzles relating to the illusionist, Valravn(?).

But just about every bit of combat felt like it should have ended after the first wave of enemies, and yet the game just kept throwing wave after wave of enemies at you. It greatly detracted from the pacing of the game.

OMG

Indeed :upside-down-face:

OMG

That patch notes is just as big as the massive changes for DmC: Definitive Edition. It's impressive how Hello Games legitimately improved the game post-launch.

Whereas Bethesda was too busy banning fair players for discovering unused content in Fallout 76.

How's EVERSPACE?

I'm in the mood to fly some space ships, should I give that one or No Man's Sky a try?

Knowing EVERSPACE is a rogue-like is a bit of a turn-off, and knowing No Man's Sky apparently now has a strong focus on base building is also a turn-off, so I'm torn. :giggle:
