Having argued in favor of regional pricing in various places, I feel this. I have heard truly indefensible things, going from "games are a luxury" to "this is actually cheap for how much this game is worth" and "why should they pay any less than us?".

The lack of empathy and logic was deeply shocking, it's an ugly side of gaming I did not expect to see and it comes out as soon as you argue in favor of cheaper prices for impoverished countries where the average wage is far lower than western europe and NA.

Being from Poland, what annoys me the most about regional pricing is selectiveness. If every country paid $60 equivalent + tax if applicable, at least it'd be fair. But when my neighbours to the East pay 30% of what I have to even though we don't earn that much more compared to them, it's annoying. Just because we're in the EU doesn't mean we earn as much as e.g. Germans do. Before you impose region-wide price equality, try to impose salary equality there first.

We'll get everything that isn't tied down by Squeenix and Atlus dumb decisions. Just point and laugh at the fanboys having list wars over fucking Godfall..
There's still hope for them both. Squeenix FFVIIR deal was definetly many years old and PC is getting Project Athia (Squeenix). Atlus apparently finds P4G to have done a success for them on PC so unless upcoming Atlus game deals was made long time ago, we might get something from them too.

Exactly. The low spec end of pc gaming is still a rich and varied space. I used to be low spec and now I'm just low medium spec. Low price of games and some crafty purchases make it all possible. And I'm in the US too!

Also, if a game is running at 30fps smoothly rather than a choppy 45-55, that's the way to go. Controllers make 30fps feel good.

How much did it cost you?

And ya that's pretty big

2 other sets I think I might like up is this one Ford Mustang one and the Lego Jurassic Park one, that had the iconic gate. The T Rex it comes with looks pretty big.
I got it near when it came out so I want to say it was full retail, $800. I usually try to follow the rule of price per piece being around 0.1$ per. This was an exception (though barely) because it was just the biggest set ever.

I'm really excited to see the NES. Should be showing up today or tomorrow.

There was a time Europe had 2 regions. That was many years ago and I believe it was a very good thing back then. It wasn't perfect(Spain in EU2 didnt make much sense with other eastern countries) but it was a more fair approach to regional pricing in the whole EU as it is now.
I think the real issue lies on EU laws and why EU2 got removed as a regional pricing zone.

no, not really .... 99% of the publishers and devs just ignored EU2 and set the same price for both EU1 and EU2 ... in fact, i believe there were literally only like 3 or 4 games that had a different price for EU2 ... and 2 of them had worse price for EU2 because publishers forgot about it and only dropped the base price for EU1

so ... yeah

I tried to revive your thread, didn't seem to have worked :(

I really, really would like to play Logistical Earth 3, but 33€ to buy a game blind is a bit much when I am currently not looking for a new game and am playing another game right now. Why the fuck are there no videos of it.
LOL, thanks anyway. I'm more upset that my TFF-nod thread title went to waste. :p

I should have titled it, "TLOU2: GOTG or GOAT?"

Probably would have hundreds of replies by now, lol.

Maybe I'll bump it for the daytime crowd.

It's so strange. I've dropped 50+ hrs. in a little over a week, chasing that "just 1 more town" addictive loop. Game is shooting up my GOTY list at a breakneck pace at this point. Yet...there's no footage of it anywhere, lol. Just a day in the life of hyper-indies, I suppose.

For what it's worth there's a lone Twitch stream here.

And there's a demo on the store page that's at least 10+ hrs. long.

Well it was nice knowing you.

Be sure to come up for air every once it a while to eat & shower.

The Discord channel is ace as hell. Super friendly & active. I've dropped in like 6 times with game-mechanic questions that were immediately answered.

In-game Contracts will guide you along (4 category tabs you can filter, the first 2 are the meat of the tutorials). Dev also posted a quick-start guide on the Steam forum.

I was thinking which one I should have started. Well, then I learn PSO2 is free to play and releases earlier than FFXIV's free trial expansion...
Well, it depends on what you want.
I've played both, but way more FF 14 - although it should be said that I found it boring when I tried it the first time a year ago, but am having fun now after giving it a second chance.

PSO2 has absolutely much more engaging combat. Everything outside of it seems like a complicated clusterfuck though with a gajillion different currencies, progression systems, lootboxes, battle pass, etc. I'm looking forward to New Genesis though, since it has the opportunity to streamline everything.

FF 14's combat is whatever for me. It something that exists to have some variety, but so far the main meat of the game has just been doing quests to learn about the world and story. Well and the "casino" after I've unlocked it. :sweaty-blob:
Perhaps paradoxically (but not really if you think about it), I'm finding FF 14 much more chill and "generous". Since it's a subscription-based game it doesn't need a dozen different systems designed to pull more money out of your wallet and stuff and feels "fair".
As such, the free trial of it feels basically like a fully-fledged paid 100 hour RPG that just happens to be playable for free instead of a designed F2P gameswith all of its usual trappings. That's more appealing to me (and the story focus). It's much slower though especially at the beginning - I bailed after 10 hours the first time because it felt like all I did was mundane fetch quests with a combat system I don't really care for, but got hooked shortly afterwards. I assume the streamline patch will make that more bearable though.

...That turned a bit ramble-y, I hope I made my point(s) 😅

Both game are quite different and FFXIV can feel really slow after PSO2. If you are newer player go with whatever suits you more :thumbsupblob:

I wonder what this means. Exclusive contract is really a thing?
I read the original Japanese Q&A and the "negotiation" meant for getting "favorable terms". Not sure what terms are involved, but exclusivity should be one of sacrifices.

Thanks for the post. I have a friend who has played FFXIV for ten hours and his comment is also "slow". I will play it due to all the praise for its story and lore, but... well, playing multiple MMO is not feasible, imo. 🤣

I am figuring out the billion of stuff in PSO2 and getting a grasp of them slowly but steadily. I may spend some dollars on it in the future but it is a complete F2P game for me now, so a few mechanics can be ignored at this moment. What I like PSO2 is that it reminds me of Xenoblade X, with its fast paced combat and interesting monster design. It even has some crazy enemy like a King Ghidorah made up of high speed rail cars.

I feel like these handheld PCs concept is getting outdated already. When I can just stream any game from PC to my phone with desireable visual and performance with Steam Link, the other options seem moot. And since this is only streaming, the battery life would be much better as well.

Tbh, I haven't tried wi-fi streaming to different places. I've only been using it inside my apartment on the same wi-fi, no delay whatsoever.

I'd play more Quake Champions if I didn't have to deal with these insane load times and searching for a match after every game. There are only a few of us out there looking for an insta or rocket arena match. Let us play in peace.

I agree that streaming will be better in most cases but doesn't work right now when traveling via plane, bus or train.

Really hoping that this is truly the change in Atlus (and Sega) that we've been waiting for. Getting Yakuza 7 day and date is definitely a good sign and here's hoping that the rest of stuff that falls under the larger Sega umbrella are not that far behind either.

My work is done.

I don't remember ever seeing one of these in the US or Iceland? Is it make of Nokia phones?

Also DS has about 12k reviews.

HZD has about 8k reviews

Detroit has about 9k reviews (10k??)

P4G has 22k reviews.

And Fall Guys has 30k reviews

Number wise we know that with 20k+ P4G has sold over 500k copies.

PS are Death Stranding and HZD ever going to get Steam Trading Cards?

Oh did P4G previously have traditional Chinese support for the PS Vita?

And and when will Valve introduce a rate my Steam library feature?
For HZD what is the best way to display it?

By which I mean didn't Alex say in his video that borderless window and full screen have their issues or something like that?

I'm having a big boomer moment about the Avengers Game. It exists in this bubble of disinterest for me and yet every company on earth is investing big into it. This will be big, won't it?
I think it will sell well but won’t have any legs

It is likely unless the game is a dumpster fire but it does have some things against it. The Avengers are a huge entertainment brand but the game didn't manage to get released close to Endgame so some of the hype will have died down. The coronavirus situation means that we haven't had any new MCU content to keep people's interest and perhaps the most important factor of all, the game isn't connected to the MCU in any way which makes it less appealing to people like, well, me who love the MCU specifically.
