Oh goodie, I though you were referring to bs like goat simulator, not the good stuff as in (most of) that vid :)

For the best of IL-2 Sturmovik mentioned there you go for IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 on Steam/GOG, as it's kind of a GOTY/Definitive Edition of that 2001 game.

Oh no, by "more exotic" I targeted things like farming, bus etc. not meme games :smiling-eyes:

Having a great time with Mutant Year Zero. Not suprising considering it combines 2 of my favorite things, a post-apocalyptic setting and tactical gameplay. Love the art direction as well.
I liked it but found it too damn difficult and so didn't make much progress. Keep meaning to go back to it but you know.....other games.

Hmm, I launched the EGS. Remembered I got the free Farming Simulator, and as I am really unsure if I will 'get' the game...
It feels weird :thinking-blob:

You gotta be stealthy.
I went into the game blind and I'm trying to figure it out without checking any online help and what I find is that you should equip a silent weapon on every party member and take the enemies out one by one without alerting the rest of the group. They tend to walk around so you just need to wait until they're far enough from each other. Of course sometimes you'll need to engage more than 1 at the same time but this strategy has been working really well for me. But yeah, the game is tough.

Basically this. It can get old and a bit simple, but this. You wait for a guy to be isolated and go to town on his ass while trying to make the less noise possible.
And you hoard some heavy artillery for the few times where the game decides it's time to throw a party.
There is I think one big difficulty spike early at a tunnel's entrance but you can stealth past it.

Oh, I know what you're talking about, I did that a few days ago. Yeah, that was the first time I hit a bit of a wall but I managed to make it through (barely). Went back to the ark and considered the options I had, then I saw the EMP grenades. Thanks to them I was able to take out that fucking medbot without alerting the others which made the fight more manageable. With the EMPs you can stun the fucker so he wont alert the others if you can't finish him in a sinlge turn (you don't do enough damage at that point). The think with the stealth strategy is that if you don't kill them in a sinlge turn they'll alert the others.

Congrats, I couldn't !
Now that you describe it, I remember it more. You have the medbot issue on the right, but you also have to kill some fucker with a horn on the left. And even when they aren't alerted, there are enough mob to give you a good trashing.
After many attempt, I understood that I just could stealth it.

You can imagine that I merrily and unnecessarily came back some levels later :smiling-face-with-horns:

Edit - TIL that the makers of Farming Simulator have some sort of launcher. You can buy 'Giant' keys :so-good-blob:

Edit 2 - Uninstalled Farming Simulator 19 EGS. FS2017 is on Gamepass and 2019 is 18 euros on GamesPlanet.

I remember Mutant Year Zero being quite easy on the highest difficulty. Haven't played the expansion yet, but I hope they made it a lot more difficult.

I must say, as much as it pains me, that Ys Celceta, while solid as fuck in its core, is also quite boring to me.

Gameplay is great (boss aren't all that, though, but no big deal) but it's a modern Falcom game. Which implies characters talking. Talking. They talk. Did I mention they like to talk. Yeah.
And, let's forget for a moment my known conflictual relationship with Trails writing, I hope we can agree that in this, it drags. A lot. Have the slight misfortune of hitting your toe on a rock, and then EVERY. FUCKER has an OPINION about it. Or something else, because why not.

I came to name those moments narrative tunnels. But those tunnels can drag...

On the bright side, the plot and background are not bad at all. Relatively, dare I say original ? Surprising. Not bad at all. It's just that when the game decides it's time to take a break and develop its story, it halts.
Yeah, that's my least favorite part of modern Ys games. Seven is the worst with that, I dreaded every time I reached a new village, because obviously that meant I had to talk.to.every.single.NPC.after.every.story.beat. Celceta is a little better with that, I think, but I dislike other parts of it more than Seven and it's ultimately my least favorite party game.
Ys VIII is longer than both of them combined, but it avoids this entirely with the castaway scenario. (And is generally just the best of them).

Yeah, that's the one, the Shaman called the reinforcements but without that fucking medbot ressurecting people I still managed to win. The game's challenge feels just right to me tbh but I've only played a handful of hours, don't know how the difficulty curve evolves over the rest of the game.

Mine started slowly, got to 2% download and just stopped. Eventually it woke up and downloaded at somewhere between 4-5 MBps even though steam maxes at 6MBps. It has gotten better, they've mostly sorted patching games now but downloading with PC gamepass is still hit and miss.

Also Panda Pedinte I can see your real name on the microsoft/xbox system alongside you handle. You can turn off displaying it if you wish on a XBONE:

But I'm not sure how to do it if you don't have one, just PC gamepass. Same with oipic, freshVeggie, didamangi, Monooboe, brokenswiftie and some others.
Thanks man. Had no idea.

Yeah the OST is amazing.
I can't believe Falcom isn't getting more praise for consistently, over many decades, delivering absolutely great soundtracks.
Actually, considering how almost everyone seems to sleep on their games, I guess it's not that hard to imagine

Played and (sort of) finished Jydge over the weekend, it's a great semi-hidden gem. Sort of like Hotline Miami + Diablo 3 skill system (in the form of weapon loudout and cybernetic choices) + Judge Dredd setting. Each level has 4 difficulties and each difficulty changes the layout of enemies, the objectives, and tweaks things. Much like Hotline Miami 1 it's psuedo-puzzle-like in that you're trying to figure out the best way to complete a specific objective while also fulfilling the main goal of each level. There is technically a story but it's basically just an arcade game, so keep that in mind - it's all about customization, tweaking, and figuring out ways to do a specific thing (although since it's not designed as a puzzle game, there's usually multiple ways to succeed).

Now to play Plague Tale before my cheapo Game Pass subscription runs out.

Seems interesting, if not kinda low budget, but SRPGs are such an underrepresented genre that I'm glad to see more new ones coming out. I'll definitely give it a look.
Agreed, let's hope it's good.
It's almost frustrating because after literal years of no real SRPG releases, we have more out now and coming out than I can play. A few years ago I was thinking "well if no one else wants to make them maybe I'll learn how" and apparently everyone else had the same thought :face-with-stuck-out-tongue:
