derExperte Oh, a good excuse to post more VG OSTs in the music thread but here's a top-of-my-head list.

Final Fantasy XII
Final Fantasy XIV
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Zelda Reorchestration Project
Shatter OST
Mass Effect OSTs
OG Tomb Raider game OSTs
Mechwarrior
Vendetta - Curse of Raven's Cry

Though i tend to grab a couple of tracks from most other OSTs and put them in a playlist rather than listen to the whole album.

edit: Oh i forgot one of my recent favourites! I've been watching TwitGamer's playthrough of Final Fantasy XV and damn, i still love the music in that game. Some fantastic pieces there for sure.

edit2: Dammit! How did i forget No Mans Sky?! It's been living on my playlists since launch! Thanks, Wildebeet!

Same here. Their snarky tweets and cheering for Epic's moneyhatting even resulted in blocking them on Steam for me. No doubt the guy with the blue hair has something funny to say about this. 😉
Yeah that dude rubbed me the wrong way too. I have a particular dislike for the types of companies that comes across as quirky, and I cannot stand community managers on Twitter being snarky and sarcastic all the bloody time. Raw Fury is another one of those, and both Coffee Stain and them landed on my Steam ignore list easily. Of course, not just because they communicate the way they do, but the way the made fun of people asking for a Steam release and criticising their decision to go EGSclusive.
Satisfactory was still on my wishlist prior to them deleting their storepage, but I removed it from there and put it onto the ignore list.

I didn't expect much from the reveal of "Tom Clacy's The Division 2; Warlords of New York; A summer tale outbreak story" and I was still left we a pretty hefty "meh".
The "meh" factor was the games biggest problem. I don't think there was much the game did really well, some things the game did badly, but mostly it was just mediocre.
I don't think I even hit the level cap which is something I usually like to do. I was playing it a fair amount then a day came where I just forgot.

Oh, hey. This guy is awesome:

I listen to a lot of these routinely. I discovered this artist when I found the Saints of Infinity/Simulated DIY double disk in a thrift store a long time ago. Bought it for a dollar, and it's one of my most listened to albums. Highly recommended if it's your thing. Then more recently I looked into what he's been up to all this time, and it turns out I already was listening to his new music in a bunch of games I had played. So that was fun.

The album Strong for the Future is good too. Not seeing it on Bandcamp though.

That VR Bundle is a no brainer for me. I almost bought SUPERHOT during the lunar sale but didn't, so I have exactly 0 of the games in there.

This not only nets you the killer Stellaris OST, but you also get the new tracks released with every DLC update (up to 8 DLCs at this point).

That's over 50 tracks for under $4.

It's awesome background music. I fire it up all the time when reading on my daily Metro commutes.
Why would you buy that when the game uses standard OGG-Vorbis for music inside renamed ZIP archives?

People who know their will get a SteamVR compatible headset (so pretty much any VR headset) should get the bundle.
My Oculus Quest should arrive this week and the Anker cable before the weekend (purchases meant for HL Alyx along my new PC), so it's a no brainer to get this bundle.

Apparently he also did the sound design for the 360 Dashboard Winter Update 2011/2012.

Looks like localizing VNs to Chinese is a pretty good idea.
Venusblood Frontier's doing pretty dang well considering it's almost a decade old. Over 700 peak CCU.
Can't help but wonder how well Sengoku Rance would've done.

So I rarely buy soundtracks for games because a) I usually don't listen to them out of context, same goes for movies and b) Steam's handling of them was shite. With b) being rectified (not perfect, the old player UI needs an update and maybe playback controls could be baked into the client, there's certainly enough room) I'm wondering what are some of y'all's favorite soundtracks? Listening to Axiom Verge right now.

I wonder if there's something funky about the soundtrack release stuff since it seems surprisingly common to get just an empty folder instead of proper download.

Still not fixed btw. Whatever happened to WBacon? Doesn't seem they have anyone left there who cares.
I tried to message him on Era, but he totally ignored me.

I have been following this problem since December last year. Tried sending mail to Capcom, tweeted to them. No answers.

It's like they don't care.
The upgrade pack is available on other platforms

A bit expensive for what it is, but still cute:

Puppy Cross is a nonogram and care game, revolving around cute dogs! Solve more than a hundred puzzles to unlock content for your garden: Toys, Dogs, Decorative items. Customize your little space and give it personality!

By unlocking the "Dalmatian" mode you will be able to play endlessly on randomized grids. Send your favourite grids' seeds to your friends and race for the best time.

Do we want a thread for soundtrack recommendation? Feels like we should have one
I would totally be down for this!

Also shoutouts to all the Divinity OST's love.

The obvious answer is Supergiant Games stuff. Darren Korb is great and they're some of my most treasured vinyl LP's -

Some others out of my vinyl collection I like are -
Theres something about the Wargroove soundtrack that I really love, I think it's the mixing of different regional sounds representing the different kingdoms/factions in the game.

The Doom OST is the Doom OST, 'nuff said - and as an Australian I'm obliged to worship Mick Gordon till the day I die.

Austin Wintory is one of the best composers (possibly the most consistently good composer at that) working in the industry and I love his work on The Banner Saga series in particular.

Sarah Schachner is a god(dess) and pretty much everything she touches is gold. The only good decision BW made while producing Anthem is getting her for the OST, because jeezus I love the Anthem OST, possibly one of my top 5 OST's of all time. Sadly this one was never released on Vinyl, for obvious reasons.

I am just thinking loudly

The deluxe upgrade pack for Devil May Cry 5 is only in Japan for some reason. If I temporarily "move" to Japan and change to a Japanese address. Would I be able to purchase the upgrade pack?

Not anymore I think. You'd need a local japanese payment method. At least I'm pretty sure I remember something about Valve making it much harder to region jump.

When did they make it harder?
I was in Vietnam in 2018 and was able to purchase in the local currency. But I added funds to my Steam wallet and used that money

I am soon to give up hope that Capcom will fix the upgrade pack :(

Couldn't he simply buy some JP Steam Cards ?
