I tried to use Yuzu, but it seems I need system files or whatever it was in order to emulate anything. And by system files I need an actual Switch to dump those files. Am I correct?
No, you just need the emulator and the game.

I don't pre-order at all. It's useless for digital games and I want to know if a game is good and released in a good state before I spend my money on it.

I wish I did that. I still preorder stuff. Usually stuff I would buy regardless, but still. Would be good to not preorder...

Since we're talking about EA and city builders, can we get SimCity 2013 (and maybe Societies) on Steam in a random drop like we got the first Titanfall? I mean, at least those two games are playable.

I wish EA would put their whole back catalogue on Steam, not just games from the past ~15 years or so. Ski or die, SimCity 1989, 2000, 3000, SimCopter, bring it all. I dont see why old games should only go on GOG (like SimCity 2000 & 3000, so many others are still missing). And I dont see a reason not to put them up. Its so easy to just use DOSBox or quick fixes. SimCity 2000 for Windows 95 still works in Win 10 (needs a small fix for saving games, thats it).

Oh, I misunderstood then. Yeah, it's a shame that it died. I never tried the latest iteration of Sim Citty where always online DRM pretty much ruined the game

Also the very small city sizes didnt help. But yeah, as I mentioned before, I wish I liked Skylines more than I did, but the road management killed it for me. True shame.

When it comes to Anthem: werent there reports that the development of that game was completely aimless for a long time? Im honestly still unsure what that game really is about :p

Not sure what they were expecting making Bioware do a GaaS game after the mixed reception to ME3 MP and Inquisiton's MP got. Plus the fact that EA continued to force them to use Frostbite after how painfully aware they were of the struggles Bioware was going through with it instead of just letting them use UE4 or something continues to bite them in the ass and it doesn't seem like they're learning from it.

But lets be real people will complain about ME3 and Inquisition and act like Bioware can't make good games anymore but both games were still critically acclaimed award winning titles. ME3's ending sucks but the game has a much warmer reception these days compared to what it had originally, and Inquisition's characters were pretty universally loved by fans and there's a reason 4 is a direct follow up to Inquisition's twist ending. Most of that games problems were gameplay and engine related, EA should have never forced them to use Frostbite.

But I guess Cynicism and AAA Gaming go hand in hand.

SimCity 3000 on Steam is a dream. Give it proper modern features like cloud and cheevos and I wouldn't even mind EA's ridiculous regional pricing.

The VFX work in Quantum Break is stellar. I still haven't see anything quite like it in a game. If you ever want to know how time being broken can be represented visually, then play Quantum Break.
You are absolutely right there. I believe they even hired people who worked on CGI movies, and Gravity among others.
It certainly shows. It looks really fantastic all around save for textures which sadly are quite low resolution.

Sim City is not dead...it was murdered :cryblob:

Seriously though I loved Sim City. I think I still have an old CD in a box somewhere. I know I still have the PS1 verison of Sim City 2000 on my shelf, though I would not recommend playing it on PS1 :face-with-stuck-out-tongue-and-winking-eye: At least it translated better to a console verison than something like Starcraft 64, though I still regret trading that in as a kiddo.

it almost certainly will be come sale time though
Will it though? When Horizon went on sale during the winter sales Sony didn't put Horizon on sale on EGS, but they did put it on sale on Steam. The amount the EGS coupon took off Horzion at full price brought it down to the sale price on Steam.

They basically got Epic to foot the EGS discount for them.

SimCity 2000 and 3000 are on GOG (and SC 2000 and SC Societies are on Origin) as I mentioned, but yeah, it would be lovely if they were all on Steam, not just SC4.
I still have the CDs as well; SimCity Classic is a German version by Interplay with full motion videos and the SimCity 2000 Collection (with versions for DOS, Windows 3, Windows 95). I dont know where my SC3000 CD went, but I do have it on GOG, so theres that at least.

How is that GIF called? I cannot find it in any gifs site using "shaq praise the sun" or shaq..

Persona 5 Strikers seems to having some crashing problems, at least for me.

I've had three crashes during loading screens and lost an hour of progress on the last one :surrenderblob:
I'm in the same situation and have had five crashes in ~32 hours. I also lost an hour of progress after the first crash. Just be sure to save at every possible opportunity.

ah, well in that case no reason then 🤷‍♂️

Out of early access. Looks very interesting.

I thought people had issue with this game since the dev just stoped adding stuff to the game and pulled it out of early access?

Also I know this is crazy but I actually prefer this Nier Opening because of Kaine

Oh the pain.

Any way thank you SE for making a PC CE for the game

Hmm, reading the forum, it seems that there are some conflicting information flowing around. Not sure if the game will be updated in the future or if the developer broke any promises. Just looking at the full launch infographics, I feel that the content is enough to warrant a launch.

I do agree that the developers shouldn't have made any promises if the financial outlook is not great.

I have heard of this game. Remember some people said the story is pretty good.

Btw, they list so many Japanese VAs in the content page yet the game only supports English VA? This has to be a mistake, right?

Apologies if it has been posted, I did not see it listed, but Steam Remote Play is allowing you to create a playable link for folks to join even without a Steam Account.

I can't wait to see people use this in the wild.

Sadly, no English support for now

I have fond childhood memories playing Sid Meier's Pirates Gold (1993) on my dad's 286 PC. Uncharted Waters is something I'm very keen to play because they both share certain similarities. Of course, I didn't find out about Uncharted Waters series until I'm already an adult, but I remember thinking why there is little interest in fan translation of this series. I think the original UW come out for NES at first before they ported it to PC.

nioh-2.jpg

Finished the main story in Nioh 2 at 85hrs. Did almost all the side, online and twilight missions that I could do so yea this was a long ass game lol. And there is 3 more DLCs too each being their own map. The structure and length mirrors the first game. I clocked 87hrs in the first. Kind of insane just how much content there is between the 2 games. They could have easily split this up between 3-4 games but good on them I guess for making such a tour de force.

Anyways the game was amazing. They took the first game and made it fun + less tedious. Its still as difficult but because the AI is improved and enemy variety is so much better...the progression in the game is just perfect. The builds, weapons, skills, souls cores etc were all so overwhelming. There is really a lot of stuff in this and so many ways to play. The game is basically Path of Exile + Dark Souls mixed with traditional old school mission/game design. There is just a great arcade feel to it being able pick up n play missions during your session.

The bosses were great with the exception a few. The movesets on the bosses were also all amazing and some of them were so relentless it almost made me feel like I'm playing a FROM game. The only real negative in the game is the story and not because its bad but because its just there to stretch the missions. There are a few cool bits but all in all its forgettable. Still I strongly recommend this to anyone who loves Souls. Its a must play and by far n away (and I mean by far n away) the best Souls like out there.

I know they said they are done with Nioh and not doing Ninja Gaiden. But I really hope that doesn't mean they are done with this type of game. The team is way too talented not to do another Souls like. It feels like they are right there just one game away from making that masterpiece like FROM did with the first Dark souls. So hopefully they do that with a new next gen ip or something.

Valve also started cleaning house other way around too XD

What is a press account? Is that an account with access to any game by clicking a button on the store page? If so, maybe Valve would rather have people use Curator Connect, even for contacting the press. It is a good move (at least for PR with creators) as it gives back some power to developers/publishers.

Yeah that is press account. And in cases above Tina is not journalist for a long time now and Arthur is freelancer and not at Polygon. So maybe they just removed access for old accounts. It is still easier for press to just pick a game instead bothering devs/publishers and waiting for response.

Yes, but is that what we want? :lul: First, I mentioned that devs might prefer the other way around, similar to what Curator Connect offers. Second, it will be unfair if Valve gets to curate who is worthy of a "press" account and who is not. For instance, for the French magazine Canard PC, I am confident that they do not have a press account, so they either receive the game via the dev, or pay for it with their press company budget.
