I will start playing Dark Souls on Elden Ring's launch day. See you at launch!
I’m on procyon and doing fine if I login after work, the issue is if I login like at 22.00I was on Neria which has/had 15k to 20k queues. I was a little pissed when my guildmates decided to abandon the server and begin new on Antares. It was the best decision ever. Antares has basically no queues, the only time was on Sunday evening with a 400 to 600 queue that was cleared in 10 minutes.
of course, it doesn't change the matchmaking issues which are region-wide or the occasional "heavy server load" message that even plops up when Antares has no queues but other servers in the region are overloaded
Reddit did a sample
The only servers with no queue during this period were Inanna, Thaemine, Antares, Brelshaza and Nineveh.
yup and with the way its moving right now 50-70 games tested a day and the inteded lag behind testing (as seen with P4G being marked Unsuported and yet valve devs tweeting about proton fixing it) .... the things will be radically different at the time first people get their dIf you try to make a financial decision IF you should buy the Steam Deck depending on the playability of your games in your library, it shouldn't matter because you won't get a Steam Deck for a few months.
like i understand why would the adult-only version being free package added for every owner of normal version be a rpoblem for Valve , especialyl legaly .... but the way these devs are going about it is super weird given the options stgeam backend hasThey already have a solution to solve the problem, by making a DLC that unlocks the uncensored version. How difficult is it for them to implement that? Are the two versions of the game too different?
Some games that are releasing in March:Ok people, it's that time of the month again, please share games that are launching next month, retro, challenge and of course, thread titles!
Let's see what's going to happen in March!
I think ideally they'd have more by now but I also don't think it's a big enough issue to stop shipping the first units out.I think that Valve should have tested a lot more games ahead of Steam Deck's launch. My own library is 80% untested games, I don't consider this an acceptable result. And this is with a two-month delay!
Huh. Platinum on ProtonDb. Odd
Tomasety really likes the eye-reaction, eh?Poor Tomasety is still in November
Don't die in Dark SoulsGIVE ME A CHALLENGE AND MARCH WILL BE DONE!!!!!
Here's a real challenge: Beat Persona 5 Royal on PCGIVE ME A CHALLENGE AND MARCH WILL BE DONE!!!!!
Yeah, while I appreciate Valve's Deck-validation program, I think it's a double-edged sword that will mislead many unfamiliar with the platform or PC gaming in general.I think that Valve should have tested a lot more games ahead of Steam Deck's launch. My own library is 80% untested games, I don't consider this an acceptable result. And this is with a two-month delay!
Oddly enough, my dad's housing development is roughly 1.5 miles up the road from Legoland. They even share the same street access off of Cannon Rd., so I pass the entrance every day I'm there, lol.By the way did you get to go to Legoland? Since that's in Carlsbad.

lookind at that list , i have seen much nicher titles than those being alreaday testedMy 2021 GOTY list is flush with indies that will likely never get around to being tested. Has nothing to do with actual Deck compatibility, it's just that they're low-visibility titles, making making them a low priority for even being screened to begin with.
Oh dang, completely forgot that Tunic is coming soon.March 16:
Holy smokes.Elden 95 opencritic WTF
Launching an Gamepass as well, I'll defintely be playing there. The first is amazing. Some games that are releasing in March:
I didn't follow ER and I'm nearly certain I can answer. Nope, no difficulty settings. So does Elden Ring have a Difficulty setting or will that just never be a thing with From games?
Schreier meanwhile meant that on his PC it ran better than the PS5 version. I doubt he has anything much more powerful than a 3080. Maybe a bug that reduces performance, or introduces stutters on certain builds.
Or the good old 'it only runs well on X brand CPU'.Schreier meanwhile meant that on his PC it ran better than the PS5 version. I doubt he has anything much more powerful than a 3080. Maybe a bug that reduces performance, or introduces stutters on certain builds.
Has to be something like that. Reports are too inconsistent not to be. I'm a little nervous about being on Alder Lake but we'll see...Schreier meanwhile meant that on his PC it ran better than the PS5 version. I doubt he has anything much more powerful than a 3080. Heh, this is 99% me but man those review quotes are tugging at that 1%, lol.
Have fun guys :>
Even my Factorio / Aurora 4X / Strategic command / Black Ice / X3 Litcube / etc. gaming credit has respect for the complexity of Wite2Heh, this is 99% me but man those review quotes are tugging at that 1%, lol.
One thing I find interesting is browsing the Review Thread and how many breathless GOTG / GOAT exclamations are pouring out of every page.
And I'm sitting in my little corner of the world thinking, "GOAT for who? In what context?"
WitE2 dropped only a few months ago and is already widely considered the greatest wargame of all time. Immeasurably more deep & complex than anything the market has seen to date, sans Grigsby's last outing almost a decade ago.
I guess for the strat & wargaming community you could say WitE2 is also the GOTG / GOAT as well. Only for a slightly different market.
Not downplaying Elden, like at all. In fact, as someone who got their fill after Demon/Dark 1, I can even see myself playing down the road.
Just find it funny how success stories such as this and other examples such as TLOU2 become the defacto definition of the greatest anything in a medium so diverse in content and audience tastes.
Super-happy it's reviewing well either way as that pushes me closer to trying it out for myself.
Indeed.Even my Factorio / Aurora 4X / Strategic command / Black Ice / X3 Litcube / etc. gaming credit has respect for the complexity of Wite2
Third-person or first-person games always have a leg up in perceived greatness and value against purely tactical or strategic games. Games like X3:AP or Aurora 4X get automatic minus points because they "feel" like playing on Excel while the gameplay and core mechanics are deeper and better than 95% of the "cinematic experiences" that constantly get 90+% ratings.
