I won't be uploading updates every time I check but as I'm doing my metrics and projections (nerd :B) I thought it would be interesting to share the global top 20 at this very moment.

4 Xbox studios games
2 Sony games (let's count DS as a Sony game even tho it has a different agreement)
A lot of story driven games such as RDR2 or Vampyr
Party games such as Fall Guys
Anime game
tons of good looking indies
MP experiences

It's a really amazing variety of genres.:blobeyes::blobeyes:

Its a brilliant move by Microsoft. There is really no argument against it.

Games like Grounded and Flight Simulator are tailored towards PC gamers anyways.

And lets be realistic. MCC and Sea of Thieves sold to about as many console gamers as they could sell it to. There are no more Xbox owners they can sell those old Halo games to. SoT basically peaked with Xbox and PC gamepass like 1 year ago. Bringing those games to new Steam audience is the easiest $$$ they will ever make. Its a lot of $$$.

Nintendo and Sony should be doing the same thing if they want easy money. Sony is basically doing it with Horizon but hopefully its much more after that because there is only so much they can sell to PS4 owners. You got to bring these big games to a new audience.
I'm glad they didn't pull a Halo Wars and try to make the PC play exactly like (or I assume exactly like) the console version. Flight sims on PC have certain strengths that 1)Microsoft even after 10+ years of dormancy should remember 2)don't need to be reinvented simply because the xbox version can't play a certain way.

This goes for most of their games at this point. If you cater to the platforms strengths, people will buy your game if given the chance.

Damn. Twitch Prime got Shaq Fu, Treachery in Beatdown City, and Blazing Chrome. Your turn, Humble. I don't see how you'll top Shaq Fu, though.

Btw, tomorrow is the auto-renew date for this month's Choice. I don't want to hear any crying tomorrow.

A bit shorther than expected and has some flaws, like the environments being too much alike, stamina decreasing too fast, not that many different weapons, but overall I really enjoyed my time with.

Will definetly go back to the game in the future to try the horde mode and to try and complete some more cheevos.
Best VR game I've played so far.

Last I've played, I was trying to collect all the statues. So many zombies everywhere. Started taking my bow & arrow to conserve high-level ammo because materials are so much rarer late game, even after looting caches during the endgame. Not even the locations that say "cache here" or whatever provide enough to make the trip in and out worth it, unless its in a location with no horde, and you can take your time deciding what's best to take and leave behind.

When I turn on my PC, after a while every device I own gets kicked off the router. This keeps happening every 3 minutes, sometimes for hours on end, before it settles. Is there a way to diagnose what’s happening without using the router/modem control panel, which I don’t have access to?

If you dont have access to the control panel you should reset it to factory settings. Depending on brand or model there should be a button for that.

Rolled Credits in P4G. Golden Ending with basically 100% of stuff you can do without a 2nd playthrough. Man that game is great.

Time to move on and work on that FFXII run I've been delaying.
Also working on a Xenoblade Chronicles DE Switch playthrough.

I wish the new flightsim has a free weekend or something at some point so I can take it for a spin.
I'm still not convinced that small cities like mine will look good, or accurate.

Hm, Final Fantasy 12 might become my new favorite final fantasy game if it keeps it up. (From what I've googled I'm around the halfway point in the story, just got the Sword of Kings).
It's just a very good all around package. Great characters and story so far, with lots of optional exploration and side content as well, and in typical Square Enix fashion lots over-animated super-moves, summons and CG cutscenes (I love it). There are probably individual parts that I like more in other FF games (I really like the combat in Lightning returns and the monster-collecting in 13-2), but I heavily dislike some parts of those as well.
10 was my previous favorite, but I think 12 will likely supercede it.
It is, after all, the best FF.

ELDER JANK ONLINE

By the way and as planned, yesterday I tried Elder Scrolls Online, after getting it at launch and never touching it :tightly-closed-eyes:
And I would be remiss to omit that I was Bethesda'ed ! The free pack with pet was until the 30th and... it was not available anymoreeee.

That being said, I'm still unsure about the game. I didn't expect such mix of passable and sheer mediocrity. Janky MMO is all I could think of while playing.
In order of appearance:
++ Intro movie is good shit, not as technically pleasing as FF14 but cool nonetheless.
-- Oh, I see you adopted the nothing makes sense approach to storytelling, bold move cotton. The lore of ES is seemingly rich, but let's explain nothing ! Factions ? What for ? Who are these motherfuckers I'm fighting, where I am, etc, forget it. It's the in medias res from hell.
-- Combat is pretty shit. Level scaling is horrible as usual. Thank God for the actionable powers, keeps you awake.
-- Wait, why are my stats in the 'xx' thousands already ? This is horribly unrelatable, I level up and add 112 points to my thousands, I repeat, thousands !
-- Hell yeah, I got in the second little tutorial zone and I'm already in a caricaturally bad MMO as fuck zone ! A little circle of land with mobs sprinkled on it, just there, waiting to be fought.
-- The UI comes from hell !
++ Cool, the game proper start, this is... small. Open the map... oh, this is gigantic.
-- Nearly no npc to talk to, it's not worth it when you can anyways. Just the quest givers and merchants.
++ Map looks quite full of things to discover, that's cool.
++ A LOT of voiced dialogs !
++ Nobody told me to kill 15 rats yet !
-- It's relatively good looking but empty, janky.

TL,DR
This is the anti-FF14, everything is JANK, lore is nowhere to be found, it feels like a bad F2P MMO, and yet, there is this little something that keeps me playing for now. The quests are bearable, the sense of adventure is here, crafting is horribly presented and explained but it looks decent.

Valve sure doesn't want any potential patch (even if it's outside source) that could link certain sexual content with their platform and even tho it's impossible to control such thing (I mean, look at all the nude mods) if they go as far as banning an already released game, there must be a reason so the only potential solution I see here is MG and Valve sitting to talk about their agreement with conditions, sign a deal and that's it.

I might be totally wrong on this but after reading the tweet I think the key was the "underage" word. If I'm not wrong, this might be seen as in "the glass is half empty/the glass is half full". So, depending on one self perspective.

Yeah, it was the underage content, which is included in an external patch not on the base steam version, that's the thing and that's why I said they are trying to limit the outsource patches for games that are on Steam and have a sexual theme.

If I understand the first tweet right, then the app depot contained sexual content involving minors. It does not matter if the content was accessible through a patch or not. What matters is that Valve was made aware that someone was hosting this kind of content on their servers, even for personal use, and I think they have remove that kind of content as soon as they are made aware of it. If they don't, they will be legally bound to, and should be sued for the intentional delay.

If this content is fully included an external patch, then Valve has nothing to do with it. If the content is in the depot, and the patch is basically a text file to toggle ON the content stored on the depot, then the content is hosted by Valve, and it is problematic for them.

it's kinda weird that they only go after MG though, they're literally HOSTING 18+ patches for some games on their servers and not hidden in some depot that you have to muck around to access

edit: imho they should just boot all the adult content from the platform, it would save every party involved a lot of time and headaches.

18+ is one thing. If people feel joy jerking off to anime let them.

But as far as I understand the situation it is about cartoon pornographic content that involves children. And while this kind of fictional pornography isn't illegal everywhere it is good that Valve is drawing a line here.

To be honest, I don't know what's the relation between MG and Valve but it sure looks like a complex one and I don't really know what's in the content of MG games to make a good judge so I won't but I still think both parts should sit and talk because it's not normal to delete a game that has been on sale for 8 months all the sudden, something happened there.

I think John Lombardi either got his facts wrong at best and bullshitting, at worst. The way most of adult (R18+) content patch suppose to work in other visual novels is that they actually contain game data, and not simply an activation patch the way some games with DLC preloading works. Unless Mangagamer and their developer have fucked up, the content they've uploaded to the app repo is for all-ages as per the requirement/agreement. Plenty of other publishers has published all-ages title with no adult content in the past. Some of them even have 18+ Patch distributed as DLC right in the store page.

But as far as I understand the situation it is about cartoon pornographic content that involves children. And while this kind of fictional pornography isn't illegal everywhere it is good that Valve is drawing a line here.
Some of the people who worked on Bokuten have expressed their disappointment on Twitter, about the way Valve handled this issue. They've been working for months in order to get the title fits Valve's requirements for an all-ages title, only to be taken down 8 months later. I genuinely believe that Mangagamer isn't stupid enough to spend hundreds of man-hours for the purpose of distributing child pornography, which the Steam version of Bokuten is clearly not.

Frankly, many of Visual Novel publishers had struggled to meet Valve's requirement, since they are somewhat nebulous and unclear. It's setting a bad precedent for future titles since some of the rejected titles are actually great games, and they aren't even designed to be titillating and far from "nukige" description some of the ERA folks (or people who simply had no clue what VNs are.) are very quick to pigeonhole. Meanwhile rubbish titles like Hentai puzzle copypasta are allowed to proliferate.

Just to put things into perspective, currently 24°C inside my shoebox flat while it's 31°C outside. AC units are gifts of god, second only to kittens and pups.
And ice cubes ! I was reminded today that AC isn't the only thing we tell ourselves we should invest in each years, there is also looking into how to prepare iced coffee, too.

Well, if the meteo is right, temps around here should lower Sunday to Wednesday (25°c on based Monday :cat-heart-blob:).
Then it's back to 38-39 :suicide-blob:
