Check it out and its just people wanting retro gaming. Which, unfortunately, is not really my cup of tea. What else can I do? I found a reddit thread but its all projects of making an amp board etc etc.

I need a conversation with someone about this lol.....
I can think of two other things that you can do with a raspberry pi. If they aren't what you want then I don't know anything else.

1. A mediacenter. Use this to watch movies, tv series, animes or adult oriented stuff :p. You need a NAS drive for this if you don't have one already or connect a USB harddrive. You will be using Kodi to watch anything you want. You can also install addons that streams content from many different services, most of them are illegal though. IE, I have an addon where i can watch Hong Kong dramas

2. NAS drive. I haven't tried it myself, but you can create a NAS drive with raspberry pi. But you need external drives that has own power source. The power from the raspberry pi is not enough for external harddrives

Probably already posted (since Tizoc , lashman and Mor cover pretty much every game that appears on Steam :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:), but this game just appeared on my front page, and it looks nice:

Just in time for the sale, there's a new Steam bundle with Two Point Hospital + DLCs, that is apparently 50% off by default:

I think I paid full price for the base game only and never got more than two hours on it, guess I should've waited to get disappointed.

Sorry to hear you didn't like it. :(

I'm a big fan of Theme Hospital, so this game was pretty much what I wanted: Theme Hospital 2.0, with some added content and QOL improvements.
I'm looking forward to their next games.

No, can't say I have, although I'm aware of it since launch.
I still haven't completed everything in Two Point Hospital, so at best, I won't buy Project Hospital until then.

But, the game appears to be completely lacking humour, and part of the appeal for me of Theme Hospital and Two Point Hospital is the over-the-top humour. I'm not really looking for a deep, strategy game, but something light-ish, funny, and entertaining. :)

It simply didn't click with me, I guess I should try it later once again though, it's a game that seems very polished and could have more to it if I invested more time on it. You never know.

That's a lotta money for Just Cause 2
Gotta populate those JC2MP servers somehow.

To be trite, I must say, my body is read for this Steam sale.
Can't wait for it, nor my F5 key so I can spam it on the first hour of the sale when prices haven't been fully updated yet.

Not that I want to derail this thread too much but I have a few Pi's.

I use one for learning to program in Python. I found it useful to have a Pi running linux with few distractions.

I also have a Pi that I mess about with some programming/electronics stuff. I found some old electronics mags I had since I was a teenager in the 80's and it raised some interest in finding ways to electrocute myself again.

I also have one that I use as a kind a photo/video display connected to an old laptop screen and mounted in a case I made. That was a project I made because someone close died suddenly and I wanted something to occupy my time.

I have a retro-gaming one as do most people although it never ended up in the arcade cabinet I built.

I also connected one to a screen that shows simple data about racing games I play. I don't use that anymore because I bought a better wheel that has some of the info shown on the wheel itself.

I probably have some others but I forget what I been up to :P

TLDR - the list is endless with Pi projects and it really just depends on what you decide you want to do.

If you want to do something that requires fast network traffic (like a NAS) the new pi4 may finally be able to do that without many compromises, the earlier versions are running everything through one usb2 bus. It works of course and is fine for many use cases but it's slow.

and to add to the suggestions:

check out pi-hole (or even make your own firewall for something more advanced)

And whichever units drop that acid thing and boat thing.
Alchemist is fine, Kunkka is a top pick, yes. But hey, you should be building your own too! Maaybe reduce stun duration a bit could do it. Luck of the draw with refresher is more the issue there.

I don't think mages need nerf. Maybe 6 mage could be turned down a little, but KOTL is mostly the problem. Crystal Maiden could be toned down a step too. Anyway, I thought there was gonna be a patch today addressing mages and knights. If they buff the latter it should help with the mage problem. Good tip for dealing with mages is Disruptor, but he's hard to get and not as versatile as someone like Kunkka.

The free DX update includes new characters, stages and a whole lot more. It really is the definitive version of SpiritSphere!
This updates includes
- New character : Slime-san, from his self titled game from Fabraz!
- New character : Dwarf
- New 3 Player Boss Mode : Control an epic boss character in 2vs1 battle!
- New Stage : Dojo - New Game Mode : Target Mode, for 1 or 2 players!
- New Spheres to unlock
- New character costumes to unlock
- Revamped singleplayer mode with story elements
- Jester : Join the game and annoy your friends! (allows up to 5 players)
- Revamped graphics, music and much more!

damn this is quite a blast from the past , seems to be mostly win32 fan port of the original game

Currently on KS (kickstarter page)

There are a lot o problems with mages. The most visible is KotL as you mentioned but it might not be the biggest one.
1- Mages are too plentiful and getting 6 to get the perk (which is completely OP btw) is a very easy thing to do.
2- There's no real counter against them and the usual turtle strategy. Assassins can't reach the back line, knight and nagas have their magic resist taken away so not even they can tank those spells. Your only hope is to mass chain stun them with boat or ravage or cast a lucky static storm, otherwise you'll be eating fully charged illuminates and other gigantic nukes.
3- The human synergy is almost perfect and there's always a perfect hero in every stage of the game and for every role. Even Ogre (the level 1 mage) is a beast late game.

pretty please SEGA, do it
While I'm behind on my Yakuza games (they take so long to complete! :giggle:), any game they release on PC is a pre-order/day one purchase.
I would love to have the spin-off games as well, even Dead Souls, which many disliked (what I played of it I thought it was enjoyable, a nice variation from the usual formula).
Heck, I would even buy PC ports of the PSP games! :p

I have established the Duchy of Wu in Three Kingdoms.

Feels good man.

I also have 30k warchest and making 3k per turn while fielding four stacks of armies. Han Empire just changed hands again, leaving them ripe for a hit. I'm about to do some serious annexation, and nobody will care, because I'm in a coalition with the Liu Bei and Yuan Shao, the other two big dogs. The other big names, like Rong Kong and Cao Cao are vassals to Yuan.

Feels like this game intentionally keeps people around as vassals or whatnot to keep things interesting, so that players don't get bored from generic randomly-generated AI names. The player does most of the NPC killing, lol.

A heads-up: today is the day when those Telltale Minecraft games are supposed to be taken down, and no longer be available to download.

I really don't think, at all, that Steam users won't be able to re-download the games, but if anyone wants to download them again, just to be safe, now is probably the time to do so.

Early impressions of Senran Kagura Reflexions. It was gifted to me and I told that person I would try to post some impressions.

Uhm. :face-with-cold-sweat:

You absolutely cannot play this game in good faith while others are around. I feel like it would make a great VR game cuz then you could at least turn off your main display and nobody will know what's going on in that headset lol. Also it just feels like a VR kinda game with the 1st-person perspective and controls.

Port-wise, it started at 1080p windowed, but the main menu has options for up-to 4K and will support Windowed or Full-Screen. Options are limited to well... here have a screen.

60-FPS is the cap, but it kinda doesn't matter since the game goes back and forth between VN-segments and 3D stuff, but it isn't like action oriented or anything so I don't see why frames would matter. :p

Honestly the foot stuff rubs me (heh) out the wrong way.

:doubtblob:

i kid, i kid, lol

lol. Well I would doubt too, except I have never once expressed shame in my choice of games! :heroblob: In-fact the opposite, I always said if anyone doesn't like what I play ya'll can delete me from your friends list.

Anywho, I haven't been working since my little bro passed last month so haven't had money for games. This Summer sale will pass me by. I do hope to start work again later this week however... so maybe at the tail end of the sale I can grab something small ... When will it end just so I know my deadline?
