I only really notice input lag on Steam Link or any other in-home streaming solution when I’m comparing it to my actual device. And the difference is very minuscule.

A direct connection would probably reduce latency and increase quality, but is a lot of bother to setup a hotspot on your PC that connects devices to your LAN.

If you’ve got noticeable lag then you’re either very sensitive to it, or you need to bring a Wi-Fi AP closer to your PC (or more correctly: closer to the remote device you’re playing on).

My best advice would be to put an AP on the same Ethernet switch your gaming PC is on, or if you have an AP with dual ethernet put it in the same room as your gaming PC and use one of the Ethernet ports to connect to your LAN and the other direct to your PC.

The ideal scenario is that your PC connects via Ethernet up to the point where your mobile device needs Wi-Fi, and that Wi-Fi is in close range of your device connected at 5GHz at least.

I don’t think a direct connection to your PC will be faster than what I described above. It might actually be slower due to some Windows fuckery with what it sends and receives on the hotspot.

Somewhere else
To the Firefox users: Is NoScript still necessary or are Firefox's security features good enough now? uBlock Origin is already installed.

My random ass predictions:

Crysis 4
New Mafia
New Brothers in Arms
New Tomb Raider
New game from Rebellion that it is not Sniper Elite
New Bioshock
Witcher 1 Remake
IOI James Bond
New game from 4A (could be Metro, could be new IP)
Wonder Woman from Monolith
Contraband
I mean this would be incredible to see, but yeah feels like if I expect these I would be disappointed.. Pretty sure there was a rumor that Contraband was having development issues, so not sure they will show that yet.

Possibly silly question, is there a way to get the Steam Link (Android App not hardware) to stream from my PC instead of over wi-fi?

Like directly from PC to Tablet? I tried to do it over wi-fi as you would normally, but for me the loss in video quality and the input lag was just too noticeable.
If you can find a way to host a ap on your pc yeah. Iv always had bad experience with Steam link.
Parsec however has the lowest latency for in house game streaming (from personal experience anyways).
Moonlight/sunshine gets close but Steam link always had the worst latency
Iv been using Parsec for years now to stream my laptop 2 rooms apart over Wifi 6 network.

MS finally learnt. Good to hear.
"In-engine" footage is just a new age industry term for CG. Yes it's technically not CG but in terms of it unfaithfully representing the actual gameplay experience it functions the same way as CG. Look at naughty dog games' first showing, the infamous uncharted 4 one for example. The final game still looked amazing but it was downgraded a bit from that initial trailer of Drake coming out of that cave and the gameplay part you control is downgraded even more from the cinematics.

It’s good that MS seem to be taking the criticism over show reels being too much CGI.

But in engine isn’t much better to be honest. For example all of the Total Warhammer Faction trailers are done in engine rather than CGI.

However the seem to be trying to be more transparent. So hopefully not too much in the way of bullshots.

Sure, I agree. Meanwhile, in-engine is still a huge difference from CG. Just look at some old FF or Assassin's Creed trailers from the PS3/360 generation. Most developers are still barely able to realize those 10-year-old trailers in engine. Bullshots should be expected from these events.
Post it properly with the picture of poor Durante going gray due to all these bad PC ports XD
And I just learnt that a port of Kuro from PH3 is already on steam.... WHAT

I would also feel so ashamed of my legacy if I were responsible for the demise of a company like Silicon Knights.

After Terminator: Resistance, this was always going to be Day One material.

Happy to see the team is putting just as much TLC into getting the look/vibe/energy right with the IP.

Hot damn I can't wait.
Just watched IGN's video this looks great! Given the previous RoboCop games were all horrible, if this ends up being a 7/10 I'd be more than happy. Also 20-hour campaign sounds amazing, hopefully, they nail this game.

Well the EO trilogy got updated today and let's see

+200MB. Obviously the denuvo they forgot. A little too late to block piracy but hey luckily the 3 games are very small so I just backed up the 3 folders and will continue enjoy the games without unnesessary shit
Remember on Steam you can use command line arguments to redownload a previous version of a game if needed

Yeah that's surprisingly low for an Apple product.
I have a lot of Apple products that I paid for with my own money, and that’s the opposite of “surprisingly low”.

out of my wallet range. I'm not their target audience.
I will continue with my Quest 2 for my VR gēmu & japanese VR porn videos. Maybe I will update to Quest 3 since producers are starting to shoot in 8k.
Now 499,99€ looks pretty nice.
