"Steam wants to allow creators to define when and where your game appears within the Steam Store. Can also see better stats about visibility. Such as how many players saw my game because they saw their friend playing it. This allows you to figure out how to strategize "

that should be helpful to get eyes on to your game

Jez Corden is an excellent writer imo. He's also one of the few journalists who dared to complain about the Windows Store.
I've given up on ERA but people should just spam that article instead of wasting their time replying to the same fools over and over again themselves. Well people should just stop giving ERA clicks but even I need my weekly dose of hate-reading.

Man, I haven't watched a surreptitiously streamed video with quality this scuffed in years. This is a weird way to follow the Valve talk.

As I just posted on Era, the difference in philosophy between Valve and Epic was so stark today. Everything in Valve's presentation revolved around the basis of "here's how you can make and keep your customers happy". Everything was about developers delivering a better product to customers and keeping them engaged.

Apparently some do. There's people in the other place that is saying this is because of competition.
Perhaps I should ask the mods to extend my ban a couple of weeks... 🙄

I know right. Some of these people are having a blind hate against Steam (my stalker Khamakazee for example) and keep making up nonsense that goes straight against the facts.

That's not unique to Era by the way. On a local tech site, someone was taking the lazy Valve route, claiming that Steam is still the same client than 15 years ago. When I replied with (completely different) screenshots of Steam now and in 2004, he replied with "I see no difference".

It's useless to go in discussion with these people because they aren't open for discussion in the first place.

And to be honest, I don't feel like reading these hate comments anymore. They are only pissing me off lately.

That's what I was thinking as well. Valve and Steam are far from perfect, but their presentation today was top notch. It's incredible how they keep supporting pc gaming instead of trying to control it.

Say. Is that Mirror's Edge Catalyst down there? In a view sorted by achievements?
Good eye! (y)

Yeah, it's strange. :thinking-blob:
Especially since that view is supposed to be arranged by achievements earned (so, I would guess an Origin game linked to Steam wouldn't show up on that list).

That events thing is neat.
You gotta appreciate how Valve focuses on the consumers.
meanwhile at Epic is revealed to focus on publishers of developers and to spy on people :-D
and for customers its the usual: "free games evry few weeks" , "its good to fight the monopoly" and "think of the poor devs"

I'll miss a few great people on pc-Era tho, so I really hope they'll find their way to MC as well.
Invite them over.
Everyone is welcome to join.
yeah, exactly ... invite them :)

And Gevin "the shlooter". :thinking-blob:
no ... not Gevin ... go away, Gevin!

as much as i'd like to think EA might be coming back ...

it's probably nothing more than a mistake ... they probably wanted to google a cover for the first one and grabbed this one by mistake or something

or it is indeed a "demo" of the custom cover stuff but someone forgot to change the dropdown label or something silly like that ... it's all WIP after all

Ready for Sekiro!
that's how i play all recent From games ;)

NO RAGRETS!!!
