When you uninstall your game, all previously installed Anti-Cheat files are removed.
  • Bethesda.net PC customers will need to manually uninstall Denuvo Anti-Cheat via Add or Remove programs in Windows settings.

Is there any way to scale STEAM?
Not sure if I like this compared to my 1080 display.

unfortunately not :( wish there was, though ... at least for the store bits (which are just web pages anyway)
Quick tutorial to fix this:

  • Go to your Steam install folder (e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam)
  • Open your skins folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\skins)
  • Create a folder for your new theme, I called it "custom" (so that you get something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\skins\custom)
  • Copy the folder called "resource" from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\skins\custom (so that you end up with C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\skins\custom\resource)
  • With notepad, open the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\skins\custom\resource\webkit.css
  • Add the following text at the start of the file (2 gives you a 200% zoom):
:root
{
zoom: 2;
}

- Open your Steam client, go to Settings > Interface and pick your skin (in my case, "custom"). Restart Steam. There you go.

Ghost of Tsushima sitll doesn't look particularly interesting to me sadly, pretty game through. Will most likely buy on sale.

TLOU 2 on the other hand will be played day 1.

Edit: Looks pretty much like yet another open world game with pretty visuals and some changes to combat. Reminds me a bit off AC Odyssey.

Im dissapointed by Ghost of Tsushima. Really liked the first gameplay showcase they showed at E3 2-3 years ago. This looked rough, uninteresting and bland with pretty graphics. Will get it on sale.

Oh well, at least TLOU 2 will be day 1 as TLOU 2 looks amazing to me.

Man, Tsushima looks like one of those cinematographic games with no substance from early this gen. Very disappointed.

I feel like there hasnt been a Nvidia driver for ages.
Tomorrow, it will be exactly 1 month since the last stable driver release.

I guess they've also been busy with the Vulkan beta drivers, and also implementing the quite substantial number of new features in the new DX12 maybe.

Wait, this is seriously beyond fucked. Installing a kernel mode driver for an already existing game the first time you launch it? That is simply not acceptable and probably one of the worst invasions of security and privacy I've seen since that Sony CD DRM back in the 90's!

Requested a refund even though I have 7 hours played. I've never requested one over 2 hours played before, so I'll see how this goes.

I do not accept kernel mode drivers. I don't even do it for good-ware like that image enhancing thing everyone uses.

TitanFall 2 Ultimate and Battlefield 1 Revolution 2 in 1 pack for 6.9€ on cdkays, that actually a pretty good deal!

Sure its origin. Think I will get it, I really liked BF1 on xbox one a few years ago.

I feel it says a lot about Tsushima when each person I've talked about it with has a way to mock it by calling it a different game.

My turn: Samurai of Mordor - Wild Hunt.

I think it looks cool as generic as it is

Gonna have to end up skipping games with multiplayer components. I hate Denuvo, but I'm willing to tolerate it for new releases. But exposing my installation to security threats? Fuck nah.

You mean this is another one of those? And it is confirmed that the user is neither warned nor asked before the installation of this stuff?

Gaming industry, get it together :(.

yup ... from their own news post:

Added Denuvo Anti-Cheat software required for playing BATTLEMODE on PC

  • Denuvo Anti-Cheat uses a kernel-mode driver
  • Use of the kernel-mode driver starts when the game launches and stops when the game stops for any reason
  • Denuvo Anti-Cheat does not take screenshots, scan your file system, or stream shellcode from the internet
  • Denuvo Anti-Cheat can be uninstalled at any time through the "Add or remove programs" dialog
    For more information, please see Bethesda Support or refer to Denuvo's launch day blog [UWSL]here[/UWSL]

Yeah, I updated Eternal today, then when I went to launch it, it asked if Denuvo could make changes to my PC, said no, uninstalled Eternal, and checked, doesnt look like Denuvo installed.

GTFO with that shit.
Well I'm glad they at least ask, I was too afraid to even try. I've already uninstalled, hoping for the refund. Honestly, it should give you the option to automatically refund when shit like this occurs.

If they have any sense they'll break out the single player and MP installs like they did with the last Doom and only tie the anti-cheat to the MP component.

Can't understand the Gamepass euphoria for CK3. If you only want to play it for 50 hours, sure. But it will be gone after a few months and I played CK2 for 400 hours over the years since its release.

About Denuvo Anti Cheat, I may be mistaken, but, doesn't Easy Anti Cheat do the same thing? Kernel mode driver and a service that only starts when the game starts and stops when the game closes?
If so, I don't remember anyone being upset about that one. As bad as the Denuvo anti tamper may be, their anti cheat doesn't seem nearly as bad as Valorant's, I guess.

Yeah, CK3 is a game that you play for years, but game pass will most likely only have it for 1 year.

Say what you want about Ubisoft, or Uplay, but I legit can't believe they're giving away the best the only good parts of AssCreed Origins and Odyssey for free.
Hey cheers. Im downloading the Greece one. I really enjoyed AC games in the past but Origins was just too much grinding for me but visually they are fantastic and so a tourist mode seems great.

EAC, Battleye (PUBG) and Xigncode3 (TERA, AION, Blade and Soul, Black Desert Online, etc.) use kernel mode driver, I guess there may be more

edit: TERA has been using Xigncode3 since 2018 or something iirc

The Ghost of Tsushima demo was both pretty amazing and really frustrating. The world is beautiful, they are teetering on the edge of greatness with the idea to have the game communicate to you where to go, how to make you curious... but then slap RPG mechanics, collecting woods and making you follow icons all over the world. It's like they can't bring themselves to trust the player to want to play.

The game seems to truly be atmospheric, but with the bad case of Ubisoftitis it has prevents that atmosphere from ever sinking in and becoming meaningful. Instead, the implied impetus of all those icons, meters and resources to collect take over the magic of the environment you are in. The item collection prompt is badly jarring in the midst of an atmospheric scene.

At the end of it, it doesn't feel like a game that fully has the courage to be what it'd like to be and instead goes down the route of borrowing elements from the open world zeitgeist instead of finding its own answers. This setting is one that begs for contemplative gameplay mechanics, not collectathon busywork.
