Dicey Dungeons sold really well.
…I still don’t really know how to talk about all this. That’s actually why this blog post is so late. I kept trying to write it and getting nowhere.I tried to keep my expectations low – I’m really proud of this game, but there have been so many indiepocalypse stories in the last few years that I was nervous that it all might go wrong. And I, uh, took some risks. I blew a huge chunk of my Super Hexagon and VVVVVV savings to make this. I was quietly hoping it would do ok, but really I was just hoping that at the very least it wouldn’t end up being a total disaster. What actually ended up happening is that it shot right past those quiet hopes, and massively exceeded my wildest ones – it’s been by far the biggest and most successful launch of my career. Within just its first month, Dicey Dungeons outsold the lifetime sales of my previous two games on Steam combined.
Ah, it was AoM they werent sure about, well that's good. I stand corrected. Hopefully all of them, and maybe Rise of Nations too while they're redoing old Microsoft RTSnot just hinted , they straight out said whole trilogy will get Definitive editions ... and given the last behind the scenes video for AoE4 . DE for AoE3 is well on the way.
And they even sadi they are not sure about what to do with AoM
When you gotta install an old ass version of QuickTime in order to use a patch to get an old ass game to run the game with its video FMV cutscenes playing.
You and me both.Since The Outer Worlds keep crashing I decided to look into other games available through game pass. I installed Forza Horizon 4 and I'm impressed by how well this game runs on my pc while looking good.
I hope MS releases it on Steam someday.
With Intel's "Intel inside" and Microsoft pushing Windows95 so heavily over DOSOh, the good old times of Soundblaster configuration on your IBM PC compatible system.
Today's "tinkering" is easy compared to DOS and Windows 95 driver installations and game configuration.
fucking sound blaster!
Edit: when exactly did "IBM compatible PC" die out as a phrase/sticker?
What are you even playing?
Going back and forth, between Disco Elysium, Trails 3rd, and Gears 5 (on Gamepass) right now. Oh, and Steins; Gate and a bit of Iconoclasts too, but mostly the first three. What are you even playing?
Ah, meant to quote Tizoc and his quicktime comment - but what are your thoughts on Disco and Gears? I've had to stop playing Gears altogether, which is sad, as it was quite fun.Going back and forth, between Disco Elysium, Trails 3rd, and Gears 5 (on Gamepass) right now. If I'm reusing the SSD with W10 on it in my new build, do I reinstall Windows now or after I've done my build and have it booted into windows?
Probably a silly question, but yeah
I'm assuming on new build with the same Windows I have now --> Boot into Windows, then reinstall Windows 10? And obviously activate it etc
Yeah, it says it's tied to my MS account but I have a feeling I'll need to re-purchase Windows. After the build is the safest bet. Before that you can create a usb windows 10 install from your existing windows 10 using this tool: Download Windows 10 (Create Windows 10 installation media)
And use that USB to install a fresh win 10 on your new build.
Note if you're changing motherboard and your current WIn 10 key is a OEM key you will probably need to buy a new Win 10 key.

Sorting the USB windows out now. Just to be clear, I can boot into windows from my SSD like normal after the build and then use the USB to reinstall Windows 10 on that SSD?
entirely new build other than my PSU, SSDS and GPUAre you just upgrading the cpu/gpu? or it's an entirely new build? like from intel to amd? If it's the latter create the usb installation now, and after the new build, boot from usb to install a fresh win 10, formating your ssd. It's the safest way to avoid headaches with compatibility.
Or you can create the usb installation now, and try booting from your old windows installation ssd on your new build and see if it still works. either way, have that win 10 usb ready before the build.
entirely new build other than my PSU, SSDS and GPU
Going from a 6600k to a ryzen 3700x
I'll make sure to boot from the USB. Sorting that now, its about 70% done.
Thanks for the help, I appreciate it
Good shout, I'll back them up nowA fresh install is the best way then. Don't forget to backup your files, And your game saves as well. GameSave Manager is a pretty good tool.
I’ve had my Windows license on 3 cpus and I think I’ve never had reactivated my copy manually lmao
Disco is absolute fire. I'm almost afraid to play it, because the sheer number of choices and the degree of freedom is insane.Ah, meant to quote Tizoc and his quicktime comment - but what are your thoughts on Disco and Gears? I've had to stop playing Gears altogether, which is sad, as it was quite fun.

I have that in a dual pack with Shogo, and have never played it. Aside from quicktime, is it worth it?Septerra core.

The dark ages.I remember I only used QuickTime to watch trailers on Apple's web page. That was many years ago
It finally happened, I'm free from the curse! Almost 1 year later, after clearing the whole map and finishing all quests (and spending shitload of hours in photomode), I'm done with Assassin's Creed Odyssey! I haven't touched DLCs, but lol nope, not today Satan! Well, it was a good game after all, but it took way too long to finish it. Going to gather the thoughts and make a proper review on it, but considering how long I was playing it I'll probably forget some details lol. Also, not going to touch new AC games for next few years, I had more than enough of that gameplay loop.
But Fate of Atlantis is so good though! The DLC areas are even prettier than the main game so you can easily spend another dozen hours in photomode. It finally happened, I'm free from the curse!
