Tempted to buy the monthly, retry getting into Crash, rage like a madman and drop it.
Sounds like a solid plan for the morning.
No but seriously, the shit was super hard if memory serves, right ? And you have to get a whole lot of collectable to unlock the true ending ?
It's honestly not that hard! Surely the platforming can get a little challenging at times, but most of the difficulty talk around it is just memes. I only had a little bit of trouble on the high road levels, which are supposedly made harder in this version because the new physics don't translate that well in them. I also got the true ending and the only level that really got on my nerves was the new one they added in the remake. Now that was some legit bullshit

Also wow @ that Humble monthly. Legit feel bad for anyone who just dropped 40$ on Spyro a month ago. These devs/pubs are doing their best to destroy all day 1 buying relationship with consumers.
If they actually destroy "day 1 buying relationship with consumers" it's great.

Preorder to play 3 days early, preorder to get 2 shitty skins, purchase day one to beta test for free, purchase early to wait for season pass discount 5 years after complete edition is 90% off etc lmao.

Oh Crapcom. They f'd up DMC5 DLC purchases. You can't buy most of them separately and there isn't an upgrade option to Deluxe anymore since the sale started. So if you own the base game now the only way to get those DLCs is to remove game and rebuy Deluxe including game.

I know most either love or hate jim sterling but this is probably the most entertaining video he's ever done. This game seems to have finally broken him. He got drunk for this and it's his funniest work yet.

I always enjoy Sterligns videos, even regarding things he says that I disagree with him.

fucking Valve killed my plans of gaming CSGO market for free index. They no longer allow purchasing Valve Index related things with Wallet.
I'm guess some of it has to do with keeping the money in the echo system and also because of the Washington casino lawsuit.

The TF2 thing likely had something to do with it as well since some people did buy VR headset that way, aka cashed out of Steam with a physical item that they could then sell for real money or something like that.

A shame how Breakpoint turned out in its current state. I enjoyed the closed beta but I wish I purchased Wildlands instead :(

I informed wbacon of this.

IMO, Pong is the first commercial video game, as it was made available more widely to the public.
Non the less, these earlier video games deserve this title.

For that matter, aside from Tabletop simulator, are there any draughts game on steam or gog?

I played virtual table soccer today on our local Gamescom. That was much more fun than I expected. Perhaps I should start saving for a VR set after all...

Oh my god. I just came across this new Humble Monthly deal and it is INSANE! I have been waiting to buy both Crash and Spyro for so looong and now they're both mine for 12$. I even get an additional bonus of CODWWII.

I am really happy right now. Spyro 1 is my childhood in a nutshell. Can't wait to play all of them remastered!

thanks to prudis for the video

Also

I'm playing on the switch, so not sure what options there are. But why also? Harder enemies doesn't sound good.:p
Well the base difficulty is doable but enemies and bosses can come off easy. One thing I would suggest is to have Erik max out his knives skills, learning Poison attack as it will really help against various bosses.

It really is insane. And you'll still get another 3-4 games in a month.

I'm eager to hear some impressions. It certainly is a looker.
I finished it. (It's pretty short, 4-5 hours). (Talking about Planet Alpha).
The visuals are the highlight, but it's a fairly inoffensive sidescrolling platformer with some very light puzzles involving your ability to change the time of day and some stealth/"use the environment to get rid of enemies" sections.
Some sections were a bit frustrating, but nothing too bad. It's a bit trial and error sometimes, but you basically respawn right before you died.

After three years, ever since the start of Humble Monthly I finally cancelled my subscription. I never skipped one, but this time I decided to cancel the subscription since the last one wasn't really great. I know that the next month has Spyro and Crash. But I decided to cancel the subscription anyway. Lo and behold! Humble offered me $3 off on the next bundle. So why not? I continue with one more month

Another day and Ryza is still a top seller globally all is fine with the world and Destiny 2 has over 300k concurrent players earlier today?
It's cool how there is going to be a Sekiro figma and a Bloodborne Nendoroid.

Finished Astral Chain. Really good, but still find Vanquish to be my favorite Platinum game.

Now unto Link's Awakening.

Just finishing up some Switch exclusives these days. Got Link's Awakening and Cadence of Hyrule Left.

How long to beat Astral Chain?

Apparently Cadence has been positively received by people, but in my opinion it is a step back from the original Crypt of the Necrodancer. I mean, it has its charm, but it was excessively easy and I was expecting some real challenge since challenge-wise, it's predecessor was really hard. I finished it but was not compelled to do more whereas with Crypt, I was kind of obsessed for a few days to complete some post contents.

I hope you enjoy more than I did. Though if you haven't played the original, I recommend you doing that as well, considering it is a much better game imo.

I have the original on Steam. Haven't played it much, but I like it.

Oh that's shorter than I thought. I might give it a go (my copy is still sealed). Is there a lot of replay value?

I haven't checked if you can replay files. There are 11 "official" fiels in the game (files = chapters), the 12th is kinda of like a weird epilogue where you walk around cleaning some stuff out, mostly just if you want even more combat.

The areas in the files are kinda open, like small "hubs" where you can do some smaller side activties and help out civilans.

I didn't do the epilogue file (didn't find any important story bits from that file on YT), but the game will most likely be 15+ hours if you do all the activties and the last file/chapter.
