Hello there,

Sophos Home is constantly blocking a side called blogkita.net when I load any thread on metacouncil.com today.
The site is known for maleware, according to sophos.
No idea what that is all about and Sophos never had a problem with me visiting metacouncil before.

Probably a link or image that triggers it? But if it is on every thread and page on MC then hmh.

I can only think that Sony will be even more strict with the shit they put on their consoles. GalGun is a very trashy game for their new standards I guess.

Sega not announcing anything for PC during their TGS event kinda hurts.
I don't think SEGA announced anything worthwhile for consoles either, so uh...
Look I'm thirsty for more vidya game news as much as the next fella, especially for PC, but always keep your expectations low, and don't take it to heart when you don't get what you've wanted.

Sega Japan already has shitload of games that aren't on PC yet, at least they could've announced a port or two.
Will we be able to compile a 'Sega supports PC' list of empty promises to match the Microsoft one soon?
At least MS keeps their promises now lol.

I would say that we shouldn't expect any Yakuza-related games on PC in near future. They will not announce or release anything before Yakuza 7.

For other Sega titles... yeah, hopefully they work on them asap.
I can only think that Sony will be even more strict with the shit they put on their consoles. GalGun is a very trashy game for their new standards I guess.
They will, and more developers will jump the ship like Inti Creates. I think that when customers are informed PS version being inferior compared with other versions, they will go elsewhere. So not releasing the game on PS platform does not hurt the sales too much.

If Sony loses the otaku market in favor of Switch and even Xbox in Japan, we would reach new heights in irony.

Also I wouldn't be caught dead playing Gal Gun, but it's actually half decent, unlike a lot of other pandering crap.

You really should be used to it by now; they'll announce it when they're ready to announce it (like Valve :V).
I already wrote, I'm thirsty for vidya game news like you are. This industry is one you have to be patient with, and not stress or obsess over wanting them to give you what you want.

I realised I have a 10$ coupon that I got from my free Stadia Pro subscription that ends in december, gonna have to use it on something and yes in opposite to Epic coupon you can actually use it on something that 9,99$ or below to make it free.

I haven't checked Stadia since my free pro sub ran out which was some months ago.

Stadia is something I keep forgetting is a thing until someone else mentions it. And the thing is that noone else really mentions it. :p

Fiiiiinally. This is REALLY exciting. I'm glad they are rebooting this franchise! playing on parsec/RPCS3 is neat but man, would be awesome to get a PC version of any of the VF games...that aren't attached to Yakuza...
Best news of the year right here.

What makes it a reboot? Really hope the esport deal doesn't imply a super barebones pro-focused environment with no options/modes extra fluff. Need mah single player modes to engage me into learning the mechanics like they had going better than other fighting games before 5's Final Shodown edition. Getting intros and outros per character for the arcade mode would be nice, nothing fancy, just old school Street Fighter style (I feel VF always lacked in this, awesome characters but outside the manuals nothing, no story, what the fuck Dural is, no outros or reasoning for the fights), on top of the faux arcade scene tourneys.

So apparently Imperator: Rome left game pass in march and I didn't know about that.

I checked the Paradox sale on Steam, Imperator looked interesting and I knew it is on game pass, so I opened the GP app as I wanted to try it out to check if it's worth a purchase, but I couldn't find it, so I Googled and it apparently had left the service in march this year.

Imperator was apparently added on GP in june 2019: Paradox Interactive Joins Xbox Game Pass for PC with Imperator: Rome and More - Paradox Interactive - Global Games Publisher

So it didn't even stay there for 1 year unless my math is shit right now.

Fucks sake. Another example why I bought CK3 on Steam right after I had played it on game pass for around 20-30 min.

Imagine if I had played Imperator for hours also earning lots of cheevos and then suddenly I wake up to the "Purchase" button instead of "Play". Ugh, that would really hurt.

What makes it a reboot?
Probably wrong word, but it's been 10 years without pretty much any word about Virtua Fighter. I'm just glad there's something within the Virtua Fighter franchise comin' out. Hopefully it leads to (or is, outright) PC ports of the older games. Anything, really. Really exciting, I'm a big VF fan.

Wtvr happened to Persona 3 Steam?

SEGA/Atlus needs to hurry up with that announcement. Taking too damn long.

Honestly, I don't think that one was real. To me it seems like Atlus were gauging reaction of P4G on Steam before giving the go ahead to any other projects.

Expecting P5R ported to Switch and PC down the road, and that's probably going to happen before P5 Scramble releases in the West, with an additional PC port thrown into the mix.

If there's a Persona 3 game in the works, I bet you good money Sony already has that on lock for at least 12 months.

Sabi (source of p3 leaks) always felt like a Trittbrettfahrer of a leaker

Often very vague leaks except those that had already been confirmed to be true, constant tweet deletions of things that didn't.
I don't think that person ever knew anything

Well for what it's worth, Jason Schreier believes P3 is coming to PC and Imran has hinted to Persona 5 in 2021 for PC.

Admittedly, Jason Schreier throws a lot of clout behind that rumour and as far as scoops go, he's about as trustworthy as it gets, but who knows what's going on with it now?

For all we know it could've been delayed by COVID-19, or the obvious Persona 3 remake that Atlus mentions in its surveys (no doubt exclusive to PlayStation) put a stop to the project. I'd like to be proven wrong, though.

I do believe a P5R release is imminent on non-Sony platforms once the pretty obvious PlayStation 12 month exclusivity window is up. Atlus has seen the light now - P4G on PC and Catherine Full Body on Switch have no doubt given them a lot to think about. You know Uncle Phil has been pushing for some of that Persona love on Xbox Game Pass too - they're eager to ingratiate and legitimise themselves in the Japanese game fan audience, if only to chip away at Sony's armour in the Western markets.

Stick a fork in it, Stadia is dead. Google made a number of fatal errors that ultimately doomed it:
  • I feel like using proprietary hardware/OS was a big mistake because developers were being asked to support yet another platform at a time when Sony and Microsoft were briefing them on their new platforms.
  • They limited the number of devices that could use it, creating barriers to entry for a platform that ostensibly sells itself on tearing barriers down.
  • They over-promised and under-delivered on performance and IQ.
  • And frankly, hubris has a large role to play. They thought people would buy into their vision of the future and people haven't, which is what happened to OnLive.

I feel like Amazon's attempt is going to get more traction on the virtue that Amazon has much more experience selling people content than Google, their platform is Windows PC-based so it opens up the doors to a lot more content on day 0, and they can integrate it into Prime to get an install base going from the start. But I don't think they're selling a complete end-to-end platform, and I reckon their thinking is they can bypass the hard work of established players and barge into the market on the virtue that they're a Silicon Valley giant.

Ultimately I still think cloud gaming is a feature not a platform. I feel those who integrate cloud streaming as an option into their larger platform are going to be the big winners in this area.

Mafia 1 remaster 10 cents off confirmed :fearful-face:
Not that I care much, too many games to play.

Now on another topic, Steam, why are you showing me what I suspect are the French top sellers, I'm only interested in the global top ffs.
It's one click away, but clicks are time, which is money :fashionblob:

From what I recall a number of smaller Japanese publishers had their own VTubers including IFFY (or was it complile heart?), I'm not sure what happened to them.

I don't think any of the Japanese VTubers have been playing Among Us despite how insanely popular the game is, hell it's a phone game!!!!!!!!!! I know that mobile in King in Japan and mobage and all of that is popular there with Waifus and Husbandos but if the game had Japanese support maybe more people would play it there? The Japanese new site that I follow talked about playing the game and it not having Japanese support and when choosing a language he choose English and when trying to talk to people he had issues and well got kicked out more or less because of that (eliminated). So that would keep Japanese players that don't feel to confident about their English from playing the game.
Some HoloStars ( The male Hololive people ) have been playing Among Us. I'm sure a bunch of of the Indie VTubers have been too.
Agree with Sea of Thieves, it'd be great for Marine to start a SoT game with the others. If they can play ARK, they can play SoT.

All that talk of Windows 7 being deprecated is a little depressing. Windows 10 has still so many issues, forced updates in most editions and an absolutely terrible UI among them. There's also the fact that they have ramped up the built-in advertisement and distribution for MS products at the OS level and I really can't abide that. I've been using it on my VM for a while now and nearly a year later, I really can't bring myself to upgrade. I just loathe it :(.

I have tried my hand at a little experiment. Selected every Steam game I have that I want to play. FOR SCIENCE !
348 games
(not always including sequels when the former game is already selected)
I think I'm good.

Still want to purchase things, though :thinking-blob:
But it was an enlightening experience, for sure. It will help.
