I'm, a bit worried what this means to I.P.s like Dishonored and Prey.
The way I see it, those IPs aren't any more or less dead now than they were before. If anything, I'd say with Microsoft's infinite money sequels are more likely than ever. Like, I know better than to cheer for this, but if Microsoft stays on Steam and gives me Prey 2, Evil Within 3 and more Dishonored than uh... I'm cool with this.

Doubt it. Wouldn't be surprised if ES6 was 5+ years away. Avowed is probably 2022.
If that is the case the 2 studios need to keep in touch so they differentiate their games. I don't want ES6 to just be a 300hr version of what Avowed will be in a 40hr game.

I guess they could do something like

Starfield = 2021
Avowed = 2022
ES6 = 2025
Fallout 6 = 2026 (by Obsidian)
Starfield 2 = 2028
Avowed 2 = 2030
ES7 = 2032

lol.

ES7 being only 7 years after 6 is a bit generous.
TES6 is very far away. Starfield on the other hand should be relatively close.
Fully expecting Bethesda to pull a FO4/76 and announce Starfield at E3 2021 and release it in the fall

Fuck Human Head and their new studio. Still amazed Phil got 7.5 billion to spend on Zenimax.
lol yeah that reminds me doesnt Microsoft now own that new post-Human Head Studio as well? Wonder if their first game will be Xbox/PC exclusive.

That's like, 2 months of revenue from corporate Office licenses.

'And I'd do it again motherfuckers' is what MS is saying.

Sure but this is more about making that money available to the Xbox division. Phil got like 10 billion back when he agreed to turn xbox into a service and they're clearly putting more into it now.

Didn't someone in here some time ago (weeks? couple months?) mentioned that sony was a bit scared about microsofts approach with Gamepass, and that's why they were scrambling so many (Temp) exclusives ?

I might be misrembering, tho.

instant game collection for ps+ on ps5 seems like more of a gamepass reaction, even if it's not really comparable in the same way. but it's great for new ps5 owners!

Now it only needs a turnbased option
But the spacebar is right there for you, my dude.
Also if you REALLY want to pause a lot, set the options to auto pause at end of round, end of action, and every sort of action (low health, hit, miss, crit, spell, etc) then the game basically IS turn based since it turns out the game IS turn based under the hood, you can just have it pause at end of turns and then bam, you have a turn based game.

Now I'm sure you're actually asking for like action points and whatnot like the Divinity OS games, which would also be great, but don't disrespect the OG asking for that stuff. Just wait for BG3 and play it there =)

There is too much anime on Steam. I know because of a small project which I tried a few months ago and I only look closer at the results now.

If you ask an AI to learn about library covers of games on the Steam store, one of the first thing which the AI notices are anime characters.

Not everyone. Sony was going to moneyhat Starfield so in this case the only ones eating the crap cake are PlayStation owners. Those playing on PC and Xbox actually benefitted.
I actually don't think that's the case? Didn't someone at MS or Beth say that those previous contracts would be honored?

Is Amon Us cross play between mobile (Android, Apple) and PC?
I assume it's not, but it would actually be a great game to play with kids and grandparents.

edit: Is it even on iOS?

Something Im wondering on. When a company acquires another company not owned by anyone, like when MS acquired Playground and Sony with Insomniac, where do the money involved in the buyout go to?

every company is owned by someone, or a group of people. could be the founders, ceo, etc.

in this case of zenimax the money would go to the people who were founders (robert altman and christoper weaver), or companies that bought a stake in zenimax/bethesda previously, like investment firms and i think a broadcast media company. probably the board get some too as a payout of their positions being removed.
