The worst part about the XSX drive: It's using just two lanes, which brings it back to "normal" gen 3.0 NVMe speeds (with normal four lanes), despite running pcie gen 4.0
Asking 209€+ for 1TB of gen 4.0 storage is not outrages currently. That's how it is, even on PC.
But Microsoft deciding to just go for two lanes here? That's strange. They have to go for more expansive parts, to get performance from a decade ago. It's also not like the Ryzen SOC is holding them back.

I'll wait to hear news about games closer to launch to see if I will even need this. I primarily plan to use it for BC and some gamepass stuff. I know that MS said that they were no longer going to be adding BC stuff but I hope that changes though.
By the way if I wanted to play Demon Souls on my PC via an emulator how would I do that and do I really need a hacked PS3 and copy of Demon Souls in order to do that.... Because I might buy the game on PS5 but I want to play the original to see the differences for myself. Same goes for Yuzu. If possible I would want to play the Mario Sunshine game on Yuzu with a Gamecube controller with a solid frame rate
You need the PS3 emulator, PS3 Bios and a DeS ISO.
Everything can be easily found via Google.
If you want to rip the iso yourself: you need a PC with a blu ray drive. But only certain ones will work.
No idea why a hacked PS3 would be needed tbh.

well , i would maybe argue that there is significant part of thr FPS audience , that thinks that the "move forward" (in wain of CoDs,...) is worst thing that ever happened to the genre and actively despises that
wll tbh HOMM-like isnt the right word ... as original Kings Bounty from 1990 is widely considered precursor and main inspiration for HoMM series .... and current KIngs Bounty is a spiritual sequel to the original KB by 3DO

The game is quite fun, for all types of players (since in this game, you can pull special moves with a single button press, not some complicated motion or combination).
There's not a lot of people playing it online, but the small team behind the game did a great job, and deserve the support.

The character DLC is because the character is licensed (it's SNK's Terry Bogard), so I'm sure there were licensing costs involved. All other characters and stages the game received, they came as free updates.
As for the colours DLCs, if you noticed, outside of "Color Set: Type A" (which has 6 colours for all characters, and it's the only one I bought), all others are actually the same colours (gold and silver), but for each of the characters. This was done as a way for users to support development, if they wanted.
I usually strongly dislike having colours and similar cosmetics as DLCs, but in this case these "gold and silver" packs came because the game was selling poorly (before it even launched on Steam), and people kept asking the developer for a way to donate, to support them.
This is the equivalent of throwing a tip at the developer (these 2 colours don't even look particularly good
).

Personally, I'm more curious about another event that starts tomorrow (Game Live Japan 2020), since a lot of smaller Japanese developers I like will be there, including INTI CREATES, who will be announcing a new title (although, from recent social media posts, I "fear" it will be a new Gal*Gun entry, since that series turns 10 soon, and they kind of hinted that they will be announcing a new game; personally, I would prefer if it was one of their 2D side-scrolling titles, either something new or, say, Blaster Master Zero 3).

That Bandai Namco game looks pretty neat (and a lot like Astral Chain)
ms buying sega was an unrealistic idea to begin with tbh. there's not really a way to extract just games from their current structure and ms doesn't want to get into running arcades or theme parks or casinos games or making anime.
ms and sega do have a history of partnering up for various things so i'm sure that will happen at some point in the next gen, but a buyout was always very unlikely.
