Since I kept pestering you guys for smartphone advice on this thread, it's only fair I post a final update: I finally bought a new phone! :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

9 years later, I finally replaced my Samsung Galaxy Ace with a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro 6gb/128gb.
I got a decent price on the phone using Vodafone points. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but since I rarely trade phones, this will (hopefully) last me for quite some time.
The only reason I have a mobile phone is because a few things I have to use can only authorise with a phone. I have an alarm set for once a month to call my home number. This is so that my phone number does not get presented to the "void of unused numbers" the phone compnay likes to use to punish me for not giving a fuck about phones.

I did own a Samsung Galaxy Ace years ago until I was robbed :notlikethisblob:

Then later I bought a Samsung J5 and I've been using it until today but I really need to buy a new one.

Note 9 Pro is great, I bought it for myself like two weeks ago (was on a great deal - 850 PLN, but limited to 2000 units), but before it arrived I ordered Poco X3, so the Note 9 Pro went to my father. They're pretty much the same phones, but X3 has 120 Hz display that's just hnnnng.

Releasing a VN on PC that doesn't support mouse input at all is some galaxy brain shit.
yeah weird, I was gonna use a controller though so I guess I'll be fine, still replaying evenicle though so I'll give it a shot later during the week end

The Committee of Zero guys already stated they will patch in mouse input (and lots of translation fixes, apparently the game is a mess, continuity-wise) next month.

Some free games from this publisher
Those are student games. ;)

For those that missed it, a while back I tried to compile some of the many cool, free student games available on Steam:

Had it wishlisted for the longest time. Also there is nothing creepy about its aesthetic, if anything its cartoony look and animation is really nice IMO.
The mask concept is rather neat too.

World of Warcraft pre-patch is live. Is the new leveling experience worth it if you want to experience the previous expansions?

First, my WoW "credentials"
  • played it from Beta to Burning crusade, stopped with a few raid weeks in.
  • came back for Cataclysm and rushed Lich King content before Cata released, stopped just shy of getting ready to raid
  • came back for classic and switched to retail when I was level 60 and the good stuff was months away. Had fun with my old buddies and most played more retail at that point.
  • rushed through all content to get to BFA content and played BFA until my sub lapsed

I was not satisfied with the leveling experience, you saw basically 10% of every expansion before you were thrown into the next expansion
Now, with the pre-patch for the new expansion, you can choose the expansion you want to experience and would level within that expansion.

But my question is: would I experience all the content/quests/group dungeons or is there still a point where you were finished with leveling while a massive amount of content is left over? I saw a video about the patch from one of the beta testers and he said level 1 to 50 should not take longer than 6 to 10 hours, which would mean that it is still only a fraction of the content.

Just logged into my bnet account, well I tried to, they have a queue for logging in to their launcher! 200 minutes! What kind of bullshit is this? What about people who don't play WoW and want to play Diablo or other games?

Just a launcher breaths slowly

Weird, the video isn't working for me.

Is it down (or is the problem on my end)? :thinking-face:

EDIT: It's back on. :)

Where did you get this info?

I follow SEGA on Steam (and plenty of their games), and didn't see this.

---

They clearly have a busy schedule for the rest of the month.
The Two Point Hospital DLC, the free mini-games and prototype, a few giveaways, and now this.
If anyone becomes aware of a new freebie, do post in here. :cat-heart-blob:

Lets take a look at some puzzle games this time in "Discoveries in Discovery Queue"!

I am Dead

Discover the misteries of the island as a recently dead museum curator in a charmin world

Morris Lupton is the recently-deceased museum curator of the tiny island of Shelmerston who is reunited with the ghost of his dog Sparky, only to discover that a disaster is about to destroy his beloved island.
Together, they must uncover Shelmerston’s ancient mysteries, prevent the island’s volcano from erupting, and save the place they call home.
Morris and Sparky must unearth a number of Shelmerston's lost and scattered ghosts. To find them, the duo must visit the places they spent time in, dive inside the memories of the people who knew them best, and learn the stories of their lives.
To help with their mission, Morris uses his newfound power that allows him to peer inside objects and people to reveal their contents and memories, like a supernatural X-Ray!

Petal Crash

Move the blocks to match them and make them dissappear. Inspired by some of the 90s classic puzzle games such as Tetris Attack.

Easy to learn and rewarding to master, Petal Crash is a brand new puzzle game in the tradition of the arcade action puzzlers of the mid-90s. Like the games that inspired it, Petal Crash features a variety of single player challenges in addition to an intense head-to-head versus mode. The rules are simple - push a block any direction, and it'll keep going until it hits a wall or another block. If it hits a block of the same color, the blocks will burst, sending any other blocks next to them flying! Line them up just right to create huge chain reactions, racking up points and burying your opponents in garbage!

Asterminer

Upcoming game about being a mining robot where you need to complete simple tasks in a relaxed environment.

Play as a mining robot in a deep space asteroid owned by the United Earth Mining Company. Your main task is to collect the rare organic high yield energy crystals that form on asteroids in the depths of space.
Your AI can be transferred to other machines designed for specific tasks your main vessel is not, which you'll need to do in order to progress further into the mines.
You'll explore the far side of the asteroid mining station and unveil it's mysteries.
The Square key

Puzzle platformer about playing with gravity. Rotate the world to solve the game!

The Square Key is a representative of the ancient race of square keys that can open all doors and rotate the world around the Square Key. In the game you have to rotate the level and move the hero across the level to solve puzzles.
The game takes place in the world of "Koitia".
In The Square Key, events take place in an alternate universe of the BlackEye and AVA game worlds.
