Err, I don't know anymore.I need to replay FFVII now lmao
I wouldn't quite agree, a lot of the Sekiro fights still require you to endure a lot of tedium. My worst memory might be guardian Ape's run back, and the burning castle memory with the drunk guy where you just have to run past (which is really, really hard to do right) or ideally kill a crapton of soliders. I ended up save scumming there, because I'm too old for this sort of bad design.Sekiro is so much better about this than Souls. Really funny. Guess they figured the bosses are finally challenging enough to allow for quick restarts.
I think I dropped the towel at the first big boss, the one where I had to jump from a tower level to another and skip a cinematic.I wouldn't quite agree, a lot of the Sekiro fights still require you to endure a lot of tedium. I honestly can't remember, but I would agree that Sekiro still has a lot of protracted runs back. DS3 was a little better in bonfire placement I think, though it had that "memory challenge" problem in its worst form with fake-outs and moves sharing the same windup with different outcomes.I think I dropped the towel at the first big boss, the one where I had to jump from a tower level to another and skip a cinematic.
Admittedly, I wasn't up to this fight, but just replaying this short traversal and skipping the movie was a nuisance.
The last time I played FFVII was around 15 years ago and I liked the game back in the day.Err, I don't know anymore.
I already played FF7 in French at release and didn't really love it. I'm more of a FF6 guy.
Then again the translation was already bad in English but butchered in French, so I planned for years to replay it with 'Beacause'. BUT, with this much milking, I'm not sure I'm up to replay a game I didn't love so many times
- Beacause
- FF7R and some day R2, plus DLC
- FF7 mobile
- Please stap
You edited that and I couldn't agree more. Those worlds !On the other hand, these games' world are still so beautiful, it's hard to opt-out of them entirely. Just Cheat Engine the crap out of them. I disabled dragonrot that way for example.
Bloodborne seems a little high on your list at first glance. Apart from Orphan of Kos I don't remember raging that hard. I may have forgotten some bosses though. My personal rankings for boss fight difficulty in Souls/Nioh games.
Sekiro > Dark Souls 3 >>>>>>>>> Nioh 2 > Bloodborne > Dark Souls 2 > Nioh > Dark Souls > Demon Souls
I truly hope Elden Ring is the hardest of them all.
Please hurt me FROM
Without DLC and awful sub 30fps...its definitely one of the easiest. But those factors made me die a lot and made me rage too especially the big body fights as frames would feel single digits getting really close to Laurence. Same with Kos too but fps was a bit more manageable.Bloodborne seems a little high on your list at first glance. Apart from Orphan of Kos I don't remember raging that hard. They could literally announce it in June the week before PS5 release xdIf they don't announce FF7R for PC in April then its pretty much a lost cause until 2022.
well i am like 8 months behind with my trailer thread :-D , heh pretty much sinc rona(Good work on keeping the threads up to date tho! People do use them!)
I'll admit an Atelier game as not what I had in mind with boss fights, but damn if that soundtrack isn't superb. MGR also had a few amazing boss fights (and other very bullshit ones). I do recall the first set piece/boss fight had me cackling like a maniac at the screen. It was just amazingly stupid.I live for good boss fights.
Bad boss fights can majorly suck though. Getting flashbacks to Lords of Shadows DLC boss. That ist definitely in the top 5 of worst video game boss of all times. Fucking hell.
But give me a cool design and moveset and start playing the hype boss music.
-snip-
etc, etc.
I do think good boss fights should be easily restartable. Multi-phase fights can also go wrong very quickly. If there's a very long phase 1 that you can do with your eyes closed, but then phase 2 kicks your ass and you always have to restart from the beginning, that's rough.
Exactly! I think that mechanically, I'm okay-ish with most HK boss fights, though a few have that "you must see the pattern and get hit by it before you know how to react. Also, you have very low resilience." problem I dislike. That would be okay though, if not for some ridiculous walks back. I recall one close to the right edge of the map where you just have to ... walk for 30 seconds, because somehow the developpers felt it was offensive and would break an unspoken taboo to allow you to restart immediately.Boss fights make sense if the game is properly designed around them. I'm playing Hollow Knight right now, and it's clear that every single boss fight was meticulously designed to be hard, but also satisfying once you understand the patterns it's working with. I feel it would be better if Hollow Knight had a smarter save point system, since it can teleport you all across the world when you die and if you are not careful about saving nearby. But the actual fights are superb.
I agree that Hollow Knight is kinda dumb about how fast you can restart boss fights. It wouldn't be a problem if you had benches to sit on just before most major fights.Exactly! The feeling of playing in the Happening BunkerWhy would anyone play games like this lol?
I think we do read them (or at least I do), but we might not have much to contribute to your threads.not that anyone visits other threads
Yep, that's a Halo alright
How do you find this stuff, lash?
Wait this is the original Nacom listing and not the self published one that went up for a few hours last month? Did they settle their dispute or something?

Seeing how buying this version means no money goes to the developer (Nacon stopped paying Frogwares, last I heard), this is a pass from me.
So Nacom threw a half assed Steam build up for a quick buck with no achievements or dlc like the Frogwares version had. Lol wow fuck off Nacom."However, on Oct. 28, 2020, the Paris Court of Appeal rendered its first enforceable decision. Old package (Nacon's)
I don't think Nacon ever paid frogwares after release. (expect something after lawsuit).Seeing how buying this version means no money goes to the developer (Nacon stopped paying Frogwares, last I heard), this is a pass from me.
Well that is disappointing. Hopefully one day I will get to play this game.Old package (Nacon's)
