Ummm...this is in the highlight thread :V
Which would've been up by now if someone would apologize :V

If it is part of those 10 games, that's a bit of a bummer because I just assume X4 enthusiasts would've known about it for a while.
Nevermind then! I don't really know about the highlight thread. Also, if people knew about the game already, then obviously it isn't part of the embargos.

Still, it's more space sims new which I find always worthy :).

Yo

Remember that game that's being delisted soon?

Well it utilize a rtwp system but its COMBAT system? Like the actual attacks you inflict?
They're reminiscent of Legend of Legaia on PSOne

You could chain special attacks with each other as their inputs lapped and this game has a similar system.
I'm only like 15 mins. in but I'm quite interested more with it now

I really loved X2 - the Threat and then X3 but then they seems to go for a different type of game for the next one (was it X-rebirth?) and it just didnt do it for me.

Is X4 a return to the old style of space sim?

Maquette

Maquette is a first-person recursive puzzle game that takes you into a world where every building, plant, and object are simultaneously tiny and staggeringly huge. Maquette makes it possible by twisting the world into itself recursively in an MC Escher-esque fashion.

Head to the center of the world and you'll feel like a giant, towering over buildings and walls. But venture further out, and start to feel small as things get larger and larger - to the point where cracks in the ground become chasms.

In Maquette you will explore the scales of everyday problems in a modern-day love story. Where sometimes the smallest of issues can become insurmountable obstacles.

I have no idea, sorry. X4 didn't really release in a good state and since it fell off my radar. I do know that they have cockpits again, which is great, but beyond that you'd probably be better served by going to the subreddit.

Ahhh, yeah. I saw a notification about that last night. I wonder what they changed? I know people like to hate on it but i had some great times with my Wii U games. Of course, i would say that purely because of Xenoblade Chronicles X. :D

I mean, E**c buying studios is always shit, and its - like Rocket League - a clear attempt to directly buy successful games off of Steam. Just after the fact, and after the fad. I mean, the game was fun for a while, sure, but it surely also didnt last, eh?

~

Anyway the Humble Monthly is out and its indeed the Standard Edition of Control, choice of a Steam or EGS key.

Also:
EXTRA INFORMATION
NOTE: When redeeming Control via Steam key, users may see Control Ultimate Edition in their Steam library and during installation. Please disregard the Ultimate Edition title as the Steam key will only grant Control Standard Edition. Anybody play the Battlegrounds story mode? Is it any good? The whole thing looks bad but I'm wondering if its worth a download.

Does this mean Fall Guys will be removed from Steam store in the future?
Remember that in this case Devolver is the one who decides what happens with the game as they are the publisher.

One more thing regarding Varnir -- the budget aspect seems particularly egregious in this one. A lot of "cutscenes" are basically a background image with a free-VN-tier fullscreen effect and badly-balanced sound effect on top of them. The only assets that had any money put into them are the character 3D and 2D models, and so naturally they are used all the time -- including the janky opening sequence which just pans around barely-animated images and seems to be the only video in the game.

I don't really mind any of that much (both in general and especially since I paid something like 7€ for the game), but it reminds me more of the very first release of the first Neptunia game rather than more recent ones which always felt like they had at least a tiny bit more wiggle room in their budget.

Edit: oh, and I almost forgot -- it does have a "4k native" rendering option which actually does 4k native rendering, but its implementation is Durante-dll-mod-ca-2011 tier, resulting in 1-pixel-borders to the right and bottom in some transitions
:toucan:
I can't state how much I hate openings like this, where they're basically .jpgs that move slightly.

They suck, might as well not put anything.

So Epic have changed their strategy for 2021. Instead of going for nearly complete AA indie games to buy to keep from Steam they are now buying well established games with a built-in huge audience. Way to go EGS, that's how you support the little devs. Fucking lol.

Hey long as these games are multi store, it's fine.
Tohu is on GOG which is where I prefer getting it on for example.

However, if EGS makes such indie games exclusive and remove purchasing from other stores, in an attempt to attract buyers

I'ma stick with the first line, because I am an optimist, and just hope these indie devs get paid.
