Today is my first stream since reaching affiliate status and I cannot thank everyone enough for helping me get there. It really means a lot. While the opportunity to receive stuff like subs and bits is nice, the biggest thing for me is that I can now do proper charity streams and I'm really excited to start doing some in the near future.
In the meantime however, we're starting our Max Payne 3 playthrough today!

FWIW, the same thing happened in Japan with Judgement, where PS5 version was a separate purchase, and Sega changed that to be a single purchase for the Western market.
If you ever bought something at groupees (bundles, music, software, etc.) make sure to download/redeem/get the codes before August 21th, thats when the web domain expires.
The only Insomniac game I've played is Sunset Overdrive, which I didn't care for. How does Spider-man compare?
Sweet, it's a way meatier update than they implied at first with just showing the lucent & seething sub species, now we're getting even more sub species (and they all look pretty lethal here being so fast to combo, but then they also match your new wirebug capabilities which made the base game easier/faster) but they're also beefing up the end game stuff with the afflicted monster quests and crafting stuff from them, the investigation stuff, adding event quests & more!
It sucks people hated Rampage like the ace swimming in Tri, both are way more fun than some gimmicky ultimate elder dragon fights in the past that people didn't hate so much, yet these were abandoned over it. MR Ibushi/Narwhatever are less worth having and silly with the platform spawning moves. Rampage's tower defense made sense and shined in multiplayer as a diversion from normal quests and wasn't forced more than 2-3 times anyway. Give me MR Rampage!
Btw, that's a Lagiacrus in the title update 2 silhouette, yeah? I dunno if it was shown/known before this but I'm only just seeing it. Or is it some other thing, it seems to have moustache stuff like Almudron but the spiky neck bulge definitely says Lagiacrus to me. It's wasted without swimming but still ace.

Well it's standard open world game with fun traversal, ok combat and good character and story.
Today I bought and finished Paradise Lost (it tool me like 4-5h), interesting little walking simulator but unfortunately too predictable story. I also finished Prologue in Tales of Arise.
Randomly opening a KainXVIII thread reminded me of my childhood on a computer. This lead to rose tinted glasses, a visit on gog, a visit elsewhere for the more abandonware side of things…
And this lead to me getting annoyed at the web erasure of this rich history. Look for retro gaming and chances are you will get console games. I can admit that everything wasn’t wonderful, but I’m sure as fuck my days on atari, amiga and dos were full of fun games (not sure about amstrad).

It's weird. Devs and pubs can release games at any time (most do when the store updates so they can get help from Valve if something goes wrong), but still...
This is the problem I have, most sites tend to be console centric and tend to ignore the Micro Computer days. My first computer was a Commodore Vic 20, a christmas present. I can remember the very first game I played on it. Hopper, a knock off version of Frogger. For pretty much all of the 80's it was Micro Computers for me. From the Vic 20, the Acorn Electron, the Commodore 64 and the Atari ST. I have so many fond memories of that period. I still miss the idea of compilation collections, I know stupid in this day and age, but there was something great about spending £10 on a double cassette collection with 4 "Classic" games on it.
Yet, if you go to the likes of youtube, it's like a lot of this doesn't exist. It's as if retro gaming only exists on Consoles. Although my go to is still Kim Justice videos. They do some great videos on all the different Micro Computers.
I know a lot of this is viewing it through rose tinted glasses. But it is something I still fondly look back at. Even been tempted to grab that Mini Commodore 64 they released a while back.

Spiderman is what happens if you put a Marvel License over Sunset Overdrive gameplay. It's essentially a more "mature" game with the same gameplay loop and movement.
I noticed that many reviewers on Twitter mentioned that they played Spider-Man on Deck too.
Had a quick look at the Diofeld Chronicle demo footage.

Yeah same, very much a continuation of hospital with improvements, except I love the theme of this much more. Will definitely be a game I buy on steam when all the dlc is out.

Like when I look at everything between the two games from combat to traversal to humor they are very different. Yet I know immediately that they are both Insomniac games as they have a certain feel.

Can't find an answer anywhere from Armature about what happened to the PC version of Where the Heart Leads. Removed from search from both Steam and EGS. SteamDB says app was retired by the publisher 3 months ago, says Steam API release date is 23rd august, Steam page still here (can't find in search) and demo can still be downloaded. People been asking Armature, but no answer.
I really enjoyed the demo so I really wanna know what's going on.

Apex has over 510k CCUs on Steam. That's a massive jump from last season when it peaked at 412k.
Nude mods get released so fast, they break causality and somehow exist even before a game is out yet.
Put 45 euros in Spidey / Keep 45 euros for the ruinous upgrade that I keep pushing.

Honestly this really looks like PS4/X1 game powered by PS5/XSX hardware.
I try, I really try, but yeahhh, it's hard.
On a more fair level, it's cool that the city seems to be situated in the desert, because pop density looks shiet.
Lots of positive comments from reviewers in rgeards to Spidey on Steam Deck.

I'd love to play Spooderman at some point, as I never got around to picking up a PS4/PS5 and this game. But that price is just... no.. no. I'm good for another few years until it's cheap enough, I suppose
Finished up Maneater yesterday. Didn't overstay it's welcome at all! 10 or so hours was perfect for this game. I'd consider the DLC, but only on very heavy discount. Framerate was kinda all over the place though, on both the Steam Deck and using my GeForce Now 3080 RTX sub.

I see a lot of people setting up their assess trying to justify 60€ for a 1:1 porting of PS4 game Persona 5 and boi, PC gaming has changed
Atlus has had terrible business practices for years: from charging a $10 premium on Nintendo DS games to making fan favorite demons day one DLC in Soul Hackers 2. They usually get away with it since their games have been fairly niche and they're a relatively small company so they don't seem as insidious as something like EA.
I still buy their games though so I'm part of the problem.
