I am not playing Baldur's Gate 3. I am playing Warhammer 40K Space Marine because Steam's new "sort by date added to library" thingy said that this is the oldest game in my library that I hadn't played yet.
Space Marine is fun, enjoy!

New Genshin region coming soon means new orchestra live performance giving a peak to the regional music style. They never miss.

I should consider playing some library oldies too. Definitely some Good Old Games™ there that I've forgotten I even own.

I can't believe this. In Nocturne you have to download the free dlc or you're playing the vanilla version and not the maniax version. The game never tells you this, I only realized several hours into the game because I started to notice the differences. This is a fucking joke.
I assumed it would default to the complete version.
I realized that 20 hours into the game and then just cba to restart. BS design decision.

They did that because the korean version doesn't sell (or at least didn't at launch) the chronicle content, what i don't know is why it wasn't bundled in all the other markets.
I realized that 20 hours into the game and then just cba to restart. BS design decision.
I found a quality of life mod that ads all kind of stuff like carrying everything over for NG+, no random battles, etc, so I'm going for a vanilla ending now and then replay for TDE. With turbo mode and the QoL mod it should be just a few hours to reach the endgame.

Any game not on steam just makes the publisher look like an idiot tbh
Just imagine if Steam had no CCU display.
Sure, the game would be seen as a success but it wouldn't be the "look at this game! How the CCU rises, it completely smashes every record for a CRPG! Monolith that draws eyes on itself just by the virtue of the climbing CCU numbers

No static "Million copies sold" that is just .. there and forgotten.
or the more silly "Billion hours driven a motorcycle" "Millions of """engagement""" in the first 72hours statistic can come close to a real time show of SUCCESS.

Look at Diablo 4, sure we have the initial success message but no CCU, we don't know how its going currently, people are talking about how dead the game already is. It could do 500k CCU and be very healthy, or 50k CCU and basically dead, we don't know.

What I want to say with this: Any game on PC that is not on Steam, or has no CCU has an uphill battle in the mindshare.

It's beyond crazy that Lord of the Rings, the defacto Western Fanatsy Setting, has had a JRPG, but no CRPG
No modern ones, if we nitpick.

Woohoo! I killed Chaos! The uh, pixel version anyway.

Had really unlucky time trying to spawn two of the monsters for Bestiary completion. (Warmech and Rhyos.)
Is this FF1 Pixel Remaster? Man I want those games so badly but they never go on sale lol

When I originally played FF7R on PS4 it took me a while to warm up to it, but I did end up loving it in the end. Really enjoying revisiting the game, it has its flaws for sure but overall I really like it. The battle system is great and the OST is easily one of the best of all time.
Love the art direction as well.
Very hyped for Rebirth.

Man, if they give IX this treatment I'll be in heaven, but it's probably something less ambitious.

Yes it's the pixel remasters.
I was only able to afford the collection back when it came out by selling over 800 of my Steam inventory items. That was back when I couldn't work so good and was undergoing my Cancer treatments. :anguished-face:

It's took me like 3 solid days of going through my inventory and the slow slow Steam interface lol. But yeah, Square-Enix and sales rarely go hand-in-hand. Still I really wanted this collection of childhood games, so I was quite motivated!

OMG I didn't know. I hope you're feeling better right now :cat-heart-blob:

I might buy them individually when they go on sale, especially VI since I haven't beaten that game yet.

Been playing BG3 for a couple hours now, and it really fees like Divinity Original Sin 3, but with some DnD flavour on top. Not sure how faithful their adaptation is to DnD, not that I care too much. I especially like the clever implementation of the skill rolls, where you can have tons of bonuses stacked on top to make things more manageable. At least in the early game, there is also a narrative push not to rest too much (since you worry a bout the parasites), so it feels kinda tense now, and I haven't had to safe scum too much.

Impressive how it runs with medium-high settings on the Deck with somewhere between 30 to 40 FPS. Once FSR 2.0 drops, this should be amazing.

To me it feels like Dragon Age: Origins and the Divinity: Original Sin games had a next gen baby. Its really incredible.

Since some people were sharing their first Steam games, here are mine:

Magicka was retail, I think. (I think I was mildly annoyed it had a Steam account requirement)
Then Deus Ex was the first store-bought game, then there was the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle with Trine and Shadowgrounds, then Terraria was via the store (thanks to TotalBiscuits videos), DNF was retail, and then I think was already some summer sale :) (there was still a lot more in July 2011)

Here's my oldest games, the typical Valve packs. I'm surprised how long I went in between getting games on Steam in the early days. It definitely picked up after that point lol
