The fact that S-E is apparently proud enough to market a port which doesn't have arbitrary aspect ratio support (or at the very least, 21:9) is just sad. A publisher of that size for a game of that reach has absolutely no excuse.I didn't expect any different but still bummed out by the lack of ultrawide support for Rebirth. At least they bothered to implement DLSS this time, I guess...
Nah, you're good. Playing the PL questline to its conclusion doesn't end the game. You still need to finish the base game's story to get the new ending. So uh, since I'm going through my first (1.5th? I played a bit pre 2.0 then bounced) of Cyberpunk 2077, I need to ask
Phantom Liberty, I know it has a new ending in it - Is Phantom Liberty's content a whole other "Route" of the game that breaks off into its own endgame, or does it converge-back into the main game's route and add on to it?
Just want to make sure that I'm not "missing out" on a chunk of the Vanilla game by playing through PL's quests when I get around to that. Since, like, the PL Quest in the questlog has an ominous "Get your affairs in order" message on its description.
Just wait till you see how much the thing will stutter on first runThe fact that S-E is apparently proud enough to market a port which doesn't have arbitrary aspect ratio support (or at the very least, 21:9) is just sad. A publisher of that size for a game of that reach has absolutely no excuse.

Probably also best to get out of february, its so fucking stacked.
lol that's literally the only kind of stocks I buy! Mostly do for fun thought.Yeah don't buy Video Game related stocks.
I own some Nintendo stock. For a second I thought about buying some Ubisoft shares to see if I could get a decent profit off the Premium from a full-buyout but
Then I took one glance at their share value and collapsed into laughter. They're fucking skirting Delisting right now.
Yeah don't buy Video Game related stocks.
Their trailer got a good laugh out of me when they proudly listed PC features such as : mouse and keyboard support and not 1, not 2, but 3 graphical presets. The fact that S-E is apparently proud enough to market a port which doesn't have arbitrary aspect ratio support (or at the very least, 21:9) is just sad. Uhm, excuse me sir, you're supposed to shit on UbisoftIm not opposed to AC Shadows getting more time to cook, I am still looking forward to it!
Yeah me too, this game seems like the last hail Mary from the company. And I know is easy to shit on Ubisoft, but I genuinely believe that their developers are crazy talented and hopefully they finally deliver a good video game.Im not opposed to AC Shadows getting more time to cook, I am still looking forward to it!
At this point into 3d rendering you need Alex Battaglia in every game to see the differences lmao. All 3 look great to me.
Do I need glasses?
YouTube is really just that bad regarding quality
Do I need glasses?
I can live with a barebones port, as long as it works. But it's equal parts baffling and hilarious to me that S-E can't seem to figure out 21:9 support for the latest release in their flagship franchise. Meanwhile, I've been playing Yakuza 5 Remastered, a port of what was originally a PS3-only game, and that somehow has decent ultrawide support out of the box lol. It's such a joke. They're advertising how terrible their port is as a feature. It will probably sell well and I'm part of the problem.
Do I need glasses?
This shot makes me watch the video. I honestly can't find many differences other than the mountain in the distance and the fur of Red XIII.
Do I need glasses?
the fuck is going on with that gif?
i have no idea, lolthe fuck is going on with that gif?
Safe prediction for Rebirth and Spider-Man 2 would be similar numbers to the first entries.I don't know if this is worth a separate thread, but I can make one if required, but I was wondering if it would be interesting to guess what the peak CCU would be for the notable (imo) games coming out this month (and then one for next month as well). Thoughts?
- Dynasty Warriors Origins
- Blade Chimera
- Assetto Corsa EVO (early access)
- Tales of Graces f Remastered
- Ender Magnolia (leaving early access)
- Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
- Star Wars Ep 1 Jedi Power Battles
- Synduality
- Tails of Iron II
- Virtua Fighter 5 REVO
- Hello Kitty Island Adventure
- Spider-Man 2
- Citizen Sleeper 2
But it's a direct story sequel to a slightly unpopular (on PC) game, there's almost always a drop-off in this case, since a) people don't finish games and don't necessarily start the next one before wrapping up the first and b) people get turned off by the first game not being to their liking.I expect Rebirth to do more than 20k, despite the port. Remake was held back by Sony exclusivity and EGS exclusivity, while Rebirth is only affected by one of those.
Bamco totally misses the timing to release this one. It should have been released right after the anime, and the anime wasn't too popular either. But it is not a full-priced game so some people may pick it up for fun. Sub 18k would be my guess.Synduality
That's a good point, and you might be right. But for some reason I still have the gut feeling that it will do more than 20k (CCU).But it's a direct story sequel to a slightly unpopular (on PC) game, there's almost always a drop-off in this case, since a) people don't finish games and don't necessarily start the next one before wrapping up the first and b) people get turned off by the first game not being to their liking.
FF7R got 13k CCU, I can't see FF7R2 beating that 2x...
(Unless you're talking total launch sales... Hats off in this case, you're even more pessimistic than this old, weary Slav)
I feel like the discount, release before the ton of Feb games, closer to console launch, and twin pack bundle offer (in a small way) will help it do better than Remake's launch but not by much.I expect Rebirth to do more than 20k, despite the port. Just finished the Titan boss fight in FFXVI, that has to be one of the most spectacular bosses in gaming history lmao
We probably should assume that a lot more folks picked up FF7R since its debut on PC in discounts etc and played it leading into Rebirth doing better than expected. Maybe the award stuff also helped, but yea I expect similar numbers to remake. But it's a direct story sequel to a slightly unpopular (on PC) game, there's almost always a drop-off in this case, since a) people don't finish games and don't necessarily start the next one before wrapping up the first and b) people get turned off by the first game not being to their liking.

A local hobby shop here has the model kits from the show, and they have been sitting on the shelf (with discounts) for a looonnnng time.I forgot the anime was out lol. If it ends up decent, I might grab it.
I tried the first beta of that one last year, I found it to be pretty dull, pretty much just dropping into a generic open zone with a time limit (the robot's battery, like 15~20 mins or so), the goal is primarily collecting crystals (though there's pvpve elements) and make it to one of the exit points before the battery ends.Bamco totally misses the timing to release this one. Because including minorities is "ticking a box", but making more harem waifu garbage for weebs is just making it "good", not ticking the box to target brainwashed retards.Oh god we're having a Retard Era moment.
Because it takes away creative freedom/agency for the sake of ticking arbitrary boxes?
Nobody likes "forced" anything where it isn't necessary. It often results in underbaked and ingenuine nonsense, that just leads to even more problems. See: current politics. Lefties biggest complaint? How ingenuine """""allies""""" often feel/become/reveal themselves to be.
How many more "milkshake ducks" until people wake the fuck up?
If you are making a character/story and your first and most important intention is not simply to make it good but rather to tick a box? It will show and it will fall flat. This has been proven over and over and over, and all anyone wants to do is circle the drain and point fingers at sides.
The VAST majority of people/consumers will not actually care about any of this shit as long as the game is good. Anyone else is simply an annoyingly vocal minority. And that also goes for both "sides."
See: The amount of people who complained about CDP Red/Cyberpunk's depiction of trans, but still bought and played it anyway. Or Hogwarts massive success. Or NieR/Stellar Blade selling gangbusters despite """""problematic""""" depictions of Women.
Also bookmark this post for when Witcher 4 comes out and sells millions with tons of fanfare and positive reviews, despite the complaints against Ciri right now.
KEK. You again. Idk man, Said what I said.Because including minorities is "ticking a box", but making more harem waifu garbage for weebs is just making it "good", not ticking the box to target brainwashed retards.
Freedom for me, not for thee.
Can't make Dustborn, it's not creative freedom! Making Stellar Blade, now that's not forced at all.
This is really not the level of discourse I want to see here.KEK. You again. Idk man, Said what I said.
Not gonna waste my time arguing Idealism Vs. Reality. Compare the sales of the two games you just listed though? Make as many Dustborns as you want, The people who champion such games rarely show up to support them. So don't cry when your studio is shuttered, laid off, or struggles to make R.O.I. because it's a shit game even before you consider it's story/writing.
But hey, whatever makes you happy brother. Just don't start fetish projecting again with all the butt and feet kissing. Spare me.
For all future replies: Neato.
Not wasting anymore time arguing over idealism lol.
