Played through that Vanillaware like game The Vagrant and ended up really enjoying it. Lasts around 10 hours and the great thing is you can do a New Game Plus on any difficulty you like which I really appreciate it. Of course the main character has big boobs and is hanging out everywhere so if you dislike anime tiddies avoid :p Still, very good game with more depth than I initially thought, skill trees to fill out and moves to find. Hell I even enjoyed the story despite how basic it is. Not bad for the £1.50 or so I paid for it ages ago.

Top Steam Releases of April 2019

We are continually fascinated by the number of amazing games coming out on Steam each month and how much variety there is in what becomes popular. In any given month, the most popular new releases represent a wide variety of styles, genres, and themes. They may be worldwide hits or they may have a stronger audience only in particular regions.

So, we're trying something new with this post by taking a look at the 20 top-selling games released in the month of April.

To generate this list, we started by enumerating all the games released between April 1 and April 30. We then looked at revenue earned by each of those games in the first two weeks following that game's release. From that list, we took the top 20 games by revenue to make our final list. Finally, we sorted the 20 games by release date.

I am so glad that Ace Attorney is between April's top sellers. Come on Capcom, keep it up, bring the rest of the games to the platform ffs :smart-thinking-blob:;)

Yo
Lost Planet original released in 2006, then 2007 worldwide on the 360.
That makes it one of the earliest PS360 era games.
I own Extreme Condition and it doesn't seme like I am missing much by not owning the Colonies Edition.

No achievements, no cards, no cloud saves, high price, can get physical PS4/Vita releases for 30€ (ya, PSN is 49,99 too, but come on). At least regional pricing is good.
I can understand not having trading cards available at launch, but releasing a game with no achievements or cloud save support?
Looks like its a wait for sale or patch for me.

Well, you're losing on GFWL since Colonies Edition has it and EC doesn't..

Ah, Lost Planet.
One more reminder that my purchasing habits are a disgrace. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Here's a bit of my history with the series:

I played the demo of the first game on the Xbox 360, and enjoyed it.
So, I bought the game (Limited Edition). Never finished it.
Bought Colonies Edition on the Xbox 360 when it launched. Never finished it.
Bought the game on PC. Never finished it.
Bought Colonies Edition on PC. Never finished it.

Played the demo of the second game on the Xbox 360. It was OK, I guess.
Bought the game on the Xbox 360. Never even took the disc out of the box.
Bought the game on PC. Never launched it.

Bought Lost Planet 3 on PC. Never played it.

You see, this is why every time Epic announces an exclusive, or "steals" a game I pre-ordered or helped crowdfund, I don't even entertain the idea of using their store, or get even remotely upset any more.
Besides the numerous alternatives available, I have so many games in my backlog (sometimes complete series), I could easily spend the rest of my life without buying a single game, and not go through all the games I own, and would like to play. :)

This is why Steam reviews are a good thing even when it's not about the game itself:

Really bad port, no achievement support, no cloud saves, locked to 1080p in fullscreen, window mode is depending on your own resolution, locked to 30fps. PQube showing once again that they couldn't give a single♥♥♥♥♥♥about PC.
That's all I needed to know to pass.

Can someone explain to me how Garfield Kart is the number 7 most played Steam game on Metacouncil? Is this a Snoopy Flying Ace situation where the game is secretly incredible?

At least 4 Councillors on my Steam friends list have a copy. So maybe they play a lot together.

(orn perhaps just idling for cards like Ryna said)

Oooo beta patch for Kiwami 2 has a framerate cap. Maybe I can push some extra effects if I limit it to 60....

Extella LINK is great with some interesting improvements over the first.

... And the swimsuit DLC's... :sweaty-blob:

The in-game AA is really bad though. I think it's FXAA cuz it just blurs stuff even at 4K. Turned that off slapped in some SMAA via ReShade, the game could really benefit from injected AO (MXAO) as well, but for some reason it just doesn't work on this game? Debugging the effect just leads to a full-white screen or full-black screen.

Damn that Japanese companies don't seem to like Mac's that much, would love to play some of those dungeon crawlers but windows only. Two Frist danganronpa are on Mac so thats nice, but missing out on later one is not so nice.XD

Sure, just having them in pc is great of course!:)

Hopefully I will find a swath of screenshots in my community tab once im home 😤

RIP.
... I uh... I don't really use Steam's screenshot function much because of compression and the fact that it seems to take screenshots in the rendering pipeline before ReShade is applied.

So like, 9 times out of 10, I just use Print Screen which is ReShade's default screenshot key and then have to upload the lossless .png's to my Adobe Cloud to share.

Here is some Nero. (And bonus School-Girl Tamamo)

Aw man, I was planning to buy DUSK during the summer sale and now I have to choose between those two :confounded-face:

Also I'm excited to play Quake 2 for the first time once the RT patch releases later this summer. Retro FPS' really making a comeback

I bought this and played about an hour last night. I was initially enjoying it. Its presented nicely. The driving physics are a bit off but not so much that its not fun.

I did start getting some awful frame rates though, my system should be able to beast this game. It got so bad that I switched it off to see if my PC was up to something in the background but couldn't find anything so it might be the game.

the game is regularly selling for $0.99 ... and iirc it takes a REALLY long time to idle all the cards in it (more than a few hours)

I did start getting some awful frame rates though, my system should be able to beast this game.
even after you restarted it?

I'm happy: unlike the Anniversary Collection Arcade Classics, the Castlevania Anniversary Collection works on Windows 7 and Windows 8, despite not being listed. (y)

From what I checked, it's a lovely collection: the emulation plays and sounds great, and the digital book included is well worth a look.
Yay, Super Castlevania IV and Castlevania: Bloodlines well emulated on PC!!!

I'm aware of the reports of some audio problems with one or two of the NES games. If they fix them, this collection will be pretty much perfection.
Bring on collection number 2! :giggle:

FunktionJCB just download the game and start playing it.

Wingamestore and Macgamestore have started a Memorial Day sale. Not much interesting on sale from what I've seen but there are a few ubi games with interesting discounts going for them if anyone wants.

For some reason, my Steam Overlay stopped working in Muv-Luv Extra. Weirdly enough, other DX9 games are fine. I've disabled Afterburner, RTSS and Discord overlay as well with no luck.

If anyone wants to get the Telltale games before they're delisted, Wingamestore still has them for purchase, but I cannot guarantee they'd be discounted at all.
They only have a number of keys left in stock as even Minecraft Season 2 was removed primarly due to all their key stocks being sold.
If you buy $100 wortrh of content, you'll get $5 back as instore credit...2 weeks from now.

So, yesterday I finished Rage 2 after 15.6 hours (most of the side-quest events, some side missions and the 7 story missions) and here you have my final impressions of it.

  1. Gameplay is SUPERB, probably the best action game of the year in terms of mobility and confrontation, guns are also really cool, the game is clearly focused to this point, gameplay.
  2. BEST SHOTGUN OF RECENT YEARS
  3. Map is big but a bit empty or inconsistent in terms of places to go, some areas are emptier than others and that's not good, did the side-quests because gameplay was so fun that I wanted to fight everything and have fun but that was a mistake (view point 4)
  4. Story is absolutely unnecessary and not interesting, 7 missions in total, tbh, game could have not had this and yet the game would be cool.
  5. By the time I started doing the story missions I was so powerful that those were a piece of cake, if you want to do the story, do it first and then the side-quests because otherwise you won't feel the bosses like a real. threat.
  6. Driving is cool, I liked it, not the best driving system but one that sure does what it's asked to do.
  7. I would recommend it ONLY for those who will enjoy the gameplay, in general its a good game, I had fun but nothing that made me jump from my chair, yet I don't regret buying it day one.

Am I disappointed and/or regretful of paying the full price? no, I had 15-16 hours of fun fun fun and that's what it matters to me in this very specific case, but I can totally understand the critics for this game, it's repetitive, it doesn't have a really interesting story to follow (looks more like an excuse to keep killing things) but gameplay saves the day.

Now you know what I think about Rage 2, liked it.

We have seen some really lovely review quotes from Chinese journalists, who are talking about how it's one of the more remarkable Three Kingdom games they've seen, and how it's impressive because it comes from a Western studio,"
...
"When we were talking about it initially and to partners in the West, we've been using the parallel of it being a Game of Thrones set in Ancient China,"
...
"We have a very busy road map and we have a good idea over what we're doing for the next five years, and we have a pretty solid idea about what we're doing over the next ten -- which is a fantastic position to be in for a games studio.
