Joe Spangle We have a Food Thread which could do with a bump! |OT| - Meta-Nourishment - La bouffe sans Teflon
I get not liking the game's art direction (even though I think it's ok) but many reactions I saw were things like "Why could you play it if Animal Crossing is a thing?"or "This is the worst art I've ever seem" really exaggerating the issues the game may or may not have.I think many (me, at least ) are negative with Hokko Life because it looks awful, uninspired, even creepy AF at times. Basically, it looks like a generic mobile rip-off.
People aren't generally against clones per se.
When a clone is done with a little bit of quality and personality, people will respond well. See the success of Temtem for example!
Swappable buttons? Interesting.
I found the same deal (9,55€ here if you grabbed Regions of Ruins), but I'm kind of afraid of these reviews... Some recent reviews talk about an abandoned and unfinished game released in 1.0 to get rid of it.
Meeple Station + Regions of Ruin on Steam
store.steampowered.com
This is kinda interesting. Meeple Station has been on my Wishlist forever as it kinda looked like RimWorld in space. Not as deep of course, but in the same universe at least. Maybe closer to Gnomoria.
Well I got an email saying it went 1.0 and got a nice -25% launch discount. Cool.
Went to the Steam page and they also had a discounted dev bundle that coupled Regions Of Ruin & Meeple Station @ -68%. Well guess what game was being given away for free less than a week ago? That would be one Regions Of Ruin.
So on launch day I was able to nab Meeple (reg. $19.99) for $7.49! Yowzers.
Early 1.0 reviews look Mixed, but I don't mind as the premise and EA vids I saw always looked great.
Cripes this whole Covid/WFH thing is gonna drive me into the poorhouse!
Give it to me now!Hello Neptune
This video right here says the truth, Alyx might not be the most realistic game in terms of physics but simplicity made it fun and accessible and that's what matters the most for me, it's a game that even with it's limitations like no melee combat set the bar to the VR scene.
You own Hitman, so all the content will transfer to Hitman 2So I started Hitman 2 and now it's downloading all content from Hitman 1, but I still don't own the Legacy DLC?
Or is it just downloading it, but I have to buy access to them?
Do I have to download original Hitman 1, start and play it to get acess to it in Hitman 2?
But it doesnt say I own the legacy pack, or I have to get the legacy upgrade pack? You own Hitman, so all the content will transfer to Hitman 2
Yeah, Picross 3D is great.Damn, Picross 3D often has far better pixel art than Voxelgram. Or the Picross S series on Switch.
I feel joy discovering the final form regularly, which hasn't happened in age in the genre for me. Maybe since Paint it Back, but memory could be distorted.
Don't worry about the store page, check your library insteadBut it doesnt say I own the legacy pack, or I have to get the legacy upgrade pack?
Ah yes it's in the licenses also. I just have to get the upgrade thing to get everything from HM1 since I didn't have the GOTY edition but the Full Experience.Don't worry about the store page, check your library instead
What's new about it?
you can change physical buttons, swap them between a more classic 4 direction cross or a joystick, also the back buttons add two new paddles as 2 new buttons, of course it's all customizable. What's new about it?
congrats! Finally fully done with Voxelgram! I honestly think I need to stay away from puzzle games, I often say that, half joking, but now I think I'm serious.
Gee, I wonder why
I just bought it on a whim, it's basically a proof of concept at this point with most of the gameplay in place but it's only 15-20 minutes long. Would be nice if it turned out alright because it's certainly interesting. Here's a new one: an adventure/RPG (done with RPGMaker?) with... pinball mechanics for its battle system?!
It looks nice, though, and it costs less than €1:
Again with the hazy memory thing, but wasn't the changeable buttons a thing for the first one ? I mean in the patent thing.you can change physical buttons, swap them between a more classic 4 direction cross or a joystick, also the back buttons add two new paddles as 2 new buttons, of course it's all customizable.
Oh man I can't wait for a v2.
Uh yeah, now that you mention it, it would resolve the fighting games issue. If the D-Pad is good.Oh man I can't wait for a v2.
The Steam Controller is my favorite controller. It's only not ideal when you really need a proper D-pad.
They did indeed explore the concept but never implemented it on the Steam ControllerAgain with the hazy memory thing, but wasn't the changeable buttons a thing for the first one ? I mean in the patent thing.
I swear it's not the first time I see that neat concept.
Yeah, agreed. Personally, I'd probably prefer to switch the left touchpad for a d-pad, but that's mostly because I already have 2 Steam controllers for when I need 2 touchpads .Oh man I can't wait for a v2.

It's possible, however, I think that covers ALL platforms in general and Square might want to wait a bit until next consoles are in the market due to a second wave of re-releases.Im not gonna be suprised if VII Remake releases before it's been 1 year on PC. I won't have a problem waiting 1 year, but Square and Sony can be odd often in regards to PC releases.
Like Nioh was PS4 exclusive for 9 months, for whatever reason.
Patience, this year is a bit special due to the pandemic, somethings that should happen might get delayed due to the circumstances wink wink.I also think that the reason KH is not on PC got more to do with Disney than Square.
Do you know something or just wishful thinking? Im in the middle of a KH3 playthrough on Xbox via game pass so if you know a PC release is coming, this would be a good time to tell me or I will just continue playing it on Xbox.Patience, this year is a bit special due to the pandemic, somethings that should happen might get delayed due to the circumstances wink wink.
Wink wink is pretty clear xDDo you know something or just wishful thinking? Im in the middle of a KH3 playhtough on Xbox via game pass so if you know a PC release is coming, this would be a good time to tell me or I will just continue playing it on Xbox.
Ah okay, cool, Gonna delete the KH 1.5+2.5 Collection on my PS4 then.Wink wink is pretty clear xD
KH collection should have been announced for the PC/Switch by now, however it hasn't due to the circumstances and god knows when it will be announced, KH3 tho, don't know, so just continue playing just in case.
Again, unfortunately I must say PATIENCE once again, this unexpected delays fucked all the yearAh okay, cool, Gonna delete the KH 1.5+2.5 Collection on my PS4 then.
Thanks for the heds up. Gonna go look up where Thief of Thieves is cheapest atm.Another studio shutdown.
Rival-Games, who developed The Detail, Thief of Thieves and Alien Blackout.

P.S. Thief of Thieves: Season One and Alien: Blackout will remain in stores normally, but our first title The Detail will be pulled from Steam and AppStore at some point.
Sad to hear it.Another studio shutdown.

Well, they keep throwing to our face the fact that the game is one year exclusive. It's weird, not even EGSclusive did this, they'll just stay silent until 1-2 month before exclusivity period is over.Im not gonna be suprised if VII Remake releases before it's been 1 year on PC. What's funny is that the touchpad is actually amazing for fighting games. Just have it set to a no click d-pad and it's legit. I just need a better set of face buttons (larger... and more).Uh yeah, now that you mention it, it would resolve the fighting games issue. If the D-Pad is good.
That's awesome. I'd immediately swap the left touchpad with a Dpad.
