Is World War Z a full EGS exclusive or timed?
Everything except the Ubisoft stuff (which is unknown) is Timed. 12 months is the norm, 6 months for Borderlands 3.

FunktionJCB it would be best to directly ASK the devs why the release of Jamestown+ was delayed for so long. One thing I read is publisher issues or the like.
Best to inquire before scolding them :V

Also Evo 2019 thread will go up tomorrow.
But, Tizoc, that's exactly what I did.
Since the "plus" version was announced (months before it actually launched), I kept asking them about the new content, in all sorts of channels (Social Media, email, Steam forums, ...), for months. I was probably still trying to contact them a year and a half after the console version was released.
They didn't even bother replying.

And, what publisher? As far as I know, they self-published the original version of the game, and the PS4 version.
Yes, I know the new version has a publisher, but all previous versions did not.

So, excuse my bad temper, but when a developer does this, and doesn't even bother being transparent, or reply to contacts, even if it's to say "currently, we have no plans", I'm in no rush to support them.
I bought the original game as soon as it launched. I bought the DLCs (OST + added content). I gifted copies of the game. Yeah, I think I did all I could to support them originally.

What did they do? They made significant new content, and didn't even grant the chance to get this content to those who bought the game already.
Now, all this time later (4+ years ?!), with so many other, better, shmups available on Steam, and after what happened, if they expect me to pay anything to get this content, they can keep it.

I played 10 minutes of Mable & The Wood. It's interesting and weird at the same time. You gain skills as you beat bosses, and they're actual game changers judging by the first one you get. I beat a spider boss and I can now swing all over the place as a small spider.

The main character drags around this giant sword, but she doesn't swing it like normal Your initial skill allows you to transform into a fairy. You use your sword by transforming back, and having the sword jump to your character. It's all very weird, but my kind of weird.

And yes, being able to swing around like a madperson has elevated this game. Grab it if you have Twitch Prime. It's DRM free and has controller support.

I was seeing your gif, and I was thinking: this sounds familiar.
I checked the game's page, and... I already own it. :giggle:

It seems I backed it on Kickstarter, and already received my key, and have access to the game, but completely forgot about it. :grimacing-face:

Exclusivity Deals never end...

How much did Microsoft have to spend? I can't even imagine.
I wonder if in the near future, Twitch will change the way it treats streamers because as it stands there are a number of issues on that site

I blame Epic for all that.
I blame my decreasing faculties.

Jokes aside, as someone who backed Phoenix Point, and Shenmue III, and has backed numerous campaigns of indie developers, sadly Epic is indeed making me think twice about backing games. I really have no patience any more to deal with refunds, or to write complaints, in order to get my money back.

Fair enough, still wanna know the reason behind this late release too.

Yooooo
GUN 2005 is my kind of shooter. Gonna save it for a much later playthrough. No zoom in for aiming like some modern shooters, and heads explode when you shoot with the rifle! This is what shooting games are about; run around blowing up heads with shotguns and rifles~
Last screen is after I applied SSGSS AA via Nvidia inspector

TBH I don't seem to notice much of a difference with SSGSS AA? It seems to tidy it up a little but the game's base settings can be made to have the game look smoother at ingame high settings.
Gonna replay the first section of the game and see if any noticeable touch ups show up at least.

It's a good game but I can't stomach the 30 fps in the PC version. Pretty weird considering it's 60fps on the Gamecube.

Heads up to Switch owners here:

So pretty much like Steam free weekend it seems.
Except that you have to pay for online to be able to use it, so it's more like the "free trials" that Sony and MS do. Well at least Nintendo is trying I guess. I still think it's dumb that Nintendo is charging people money for online and yes it's less than what the other offer and you don't seem to get much out of it. I technically don't have Online right now but I do have Twitch Prime and that comes with a year of N/S Online.

I've been playing Watch_Dogs and the MP invasions suck. For some reason Ubisoft decided that the defender has a time limit to find the attacker and not the opposite. To make matters worst I've already found a couple of unkillable cheaters: 5 direct grenade launcher blasts, the last one threw him off a platform, fell 15 meters and didnt die.

Maybe this has been happening for a while but it seems like Sony is trying to make bigger and bigger pushes for China with PlayStation? It seems that there are a number of games that originally were going to launch only on PC via Steam but they are also now going to be released on PS4 as well.

As far as I know the only place in China that Sony can sell PS4 is in the Hong Kong area? Or can they sell to all of China now? Steam can be used in all of China and world wide so it makes sense why these Chinese developers choose to go that route and as far as I can tell it seems to be working since some of them have been able to release multiple games this way without releasing their game on any other platform (or store?).

PlayStation doesn't seem to care about Indies as much as Nintendo or MS right now but when it comes to Chinese indie games they seem to be parading them around. Hardcore Mecha was one of these games, this game seemed to be popular in Japan when it launched and was one of the best selling games on PSN (I'm not 100% but it would seem like this indie title was digital only and published by ASW in Japan and had some marketing behind it). So it being digital only would explain why it was in the top selling games on PSN since s big portion of gamers in Japan still prefer to buy their games physically compared to other parts of the world, and there for everything that it was competing against in PSN that was new was not going to have sold that many units since there were also physical copies of those games.

Looking at Steam reviews for some Chinese games (including Hardcore Mecha you will notice that more than half of those reviews are in Chinese, could that mean that out of all the places in the world that Steam can be used in, China just happens to be the place that buys the most Chinese developed games?).

I wonder how this will pan out for Sony in the long run since it does seem that they are focused quite a bit in their Project China Hero thing to promote PlayStation in China.

So out of Sony,Nintendo and MS, Valve seems to have the largest market share in China overall.

One of the benefits of Project China Hero is that more people outside of China, that play on consoles will learn more about Chinese developed games (now if these games manage to catch on is a different story) .

The hell, this game isn't even out on Steam yet. Thanks Twitch, I guess?
It certainly looks like it's right up my alley!

Bloodstained is so good, damn.
It is! I rarely go for completion after I finish games nowadays, but I just had to with Bloodstained, even though I didn't intend to at first! Just didn't get my fill of that gameplay after just finishing the campaign. So, so good.
Bloodless kicked my ass for like half an hour.
Yeah she was a little tricky. Here's how I managed to finally beat her in case you have 3 minutes to kill

That reminds me, did you manage to get the refund for Shenmue III back?
Still waiting. :)

They backtracked on that "no refunds" policy, and said they are updating the surveys website, so that people can request a refund.
I, and other backers, are still waiting for this to be available.

Wait, you were given a Steam key for a game that hasn't been released yet? You must be lying because billionaire Tim Sweeney told me that's impossible.

I must live in the Twilight Zone then (that would explain a few things :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:).
I keep receiving plenty of Steam keys for games that haven't released yet. Some don't even have a Steam page when I get them.

The developer actually sent the keys in December of last year, and first it included a convention build of the game, and recently it was apparently updated with the full game.

Just popped by to say that it's about 8:30 in the morning and I've been playing Dota Underlords all night.
The new patch is stupid, but fun; it's like a whole new game.
I've only played one match, but I kind of like the update, so much new! Also I'm a sucker for achievements!:D Hopefully they translate over to Steam achievements too.

Think the biggest and best change they made was that it's now 1vs1 in the matches.

Just got myself a wired 8BitDo SN30 Pro.

Kinda neat how they made the old SNES controller so usable for modern gaming. I don't like it quite as much as my DS4 (I bought it specifically for the times when the DS4 needs to be recharged, which is why I opted for the wired version), my main gripe being the Dpad: If you "carelessly" press the down button, it often triggers right or left as well. Super annoying, though I could see myself learning to avoid it. I'm sure the original SNES controller didn't have such a thing.

Other than that, I'm suprised how small this thing is, much smaller than I remember the original SNES one to be. But I guess that's Nostalgia for you, and I was like 10 when I last held an original one.

Decided to faff about with some more of my PS3 library in RPCS3 to see how everything is stacking up. Motorstorm: Pacific Rift is a no go on my system atm, but Anarchy Reigns seems to be getting somewhere! Should be interesting to see how it performs a few months/a year from now!

Pre-order ends by the time the new monthly rolls out, so may want to keep that in mind if you at least want that game for $3
