Give me a way to bypass the boring puzzle sections and I may double dip on Catherine. I dropped the PS3 version because I got tired of repeating the same puzzle again and again.

just saw the sheep post, lol.

I legit imagine all the atlus devs giving their sega overlords just pages and pages of why pc is bad.

and it all reads like the other forum lol.
I imagine the conversation goes more like when Nintendo devs didn't know what Xbox Live or the Playstation Network was:

Sega Overloads: "Make some damn PC ports you nitwits. PC gaming is huge nowadays."

Atlus Devs: "What is this PC gaming you speak of?"

I guess I jumped the gun posting my "haul" in the middle of the sale, huh :p

Here's my main damages from the seal attack

Not pictured are the two Endless Space 2 DLC I was missing without realizing, Lost Symphony and Untold Tales. I can't wait for the Penumbra DLC to hit.

I've already beaten Up Left Out and PUSH, both were fun little puzzle games but some of the later PUSH levels are freaking daunting. Probably gonna start West of Loathing tonight, and maybe Bladed Fury since I just finished Catmaze from the previous sale. 2 games done in 2019 already! That pace will not last a 3rd day :p

Before Steam Sale: 128 games on wishlist
After Steam Sale: 167 games on wishlist.

... Fucking hell. Anyway, I only bought Just Cause 3 this sale because it seems like Just Cause 4 is going to be a mess for quite some time.

First tutorial level: "Hm, wow this makes sense, neat!"

Second tutorial level: "Uhhhh okay, I guess."

Third tutorial level: "This doesn't have a happy ending for me huh?"
pretty much my experience exactly ... the first tutorial level is pretty easy .... second one - hard but doable .... third one - fucking IMPENETRABLE WALL!!! JUST END MY SUFFERING NOW!!!

Agreed, just wasn't very fun after a while.

I mean... Zach-likes aren't that hard to beat.
What's hard is coming anywhere close to Durante's result on the leaderboards
If you want a hard puzzle game, try DROD, Jelly no Puzzle 2, Snakebrid or Stephen's Sausage Roll.

The internal visual "language" of something like Stephen's Sausage Roll makes wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more sense to me than that of Zachtronics games.

We don't have a 52 Games a Year thread yet? Would have imagined Knurek or Suikoder were already on that.
I don't plan on finishing that many games but it'd be cool to at least keep track of the ones I do.

Let me ask a question that may seem a bit idiot, but honestly I'm now completely oblivious to most types of recent anti-aliasing solutions around (for me, it was 2X, 4X, (...), and not much more; now there's a million different types of AA, and I struggle to remember what each acronym means; I'm getting old :p).

I just installed the Ubisoft game Transference. Usually, I simply turn everything up, and be done with it, but in the AA options, there's a million and one types of AA, and the order isn't really from worse to best.
First, there's MSAA up to 8X (and I'm obviously familiar with it); then there's FXAA and SMAA (which I'm also more or less familiar with). But, the last option is TAA. What the hell is TAA? o_O
And, despite being the last option, the look of the game is significantly different (not necessarily for the better) compared to the other AA options.

So, can anyone please let me know what are the pros and cons of TAA, and is it preferable to MSAA 8X in any way, which is the one I usually use?

thanks ;)

FunktionJCB Check this out if you have time. Goes over options pretty nicely.

Here's another, shorter vid

For your question about MSAA vs TAA. The former will have a bigger performance impact with sharper results. I'm a layman, but TAA can get blurry in motion but generally has good results and costs less performance.

SMAA & FXAA have similar, low cost and usually satisfy me.

Thanks for your replies, Echoes and freshVeggie . (y)
I was unfamiliar with TAA. :giggle:

In the absence of SSAA, I guess I'll use MSAA 8X.
The game doesn't appear to be very demanding, so I think I can easily use it.

Knowing how amazing I am at reading posts, there's a big chance that this has already been shared, but here it goes anyway :D

Latest update on the Star Control drama.
I won by 41 minutes ;)

And of course, Wardell is now in Twitter going point by point of the image, when that's not the point, the point it the totality that every one of those points make, not every individual point.

i got hitman 2 and monster hunter, so i feel i did good for the sale

i still have a ton of games i want to play, so i don't feel the need to get more

i did do a couple undertale gifts

Yeah super lucky :D

Agreed, I can easily hop back in here and there but it has been getting tricky recently due to the characters they are adding are extra complicated so it takes a while to figure out what they can actually do (this isn't me playing them but going against them), Add to that the hidden buffs/changes to damages in keystones making it extra confusing when you get blown up due to some keystone etc.
yea could be, i kind of transitioned to playing it casually and buying skins since i've realized my ranking is inversely proportional to how much i work, and i'm working way too much for staying competitive

would be nice to make it to diamond this year but i feel i need to try a lot harder and that just takes too much time

so the bullshit DMCA is just revenge nothing else ... sure lets be all be dicks about sum of genre stereotypes and claim DMCA because of that  That will sure help everyone. But well at the bottom of it are just marketing words (mainly "sequel") , unclear roghts , inflated egos and doses of spite

Maybe now the old Maxis folkes will DMCA Cities Skylines if its that easy

In the end only winner of all this will only be the laywers no one else!!

Nah, the DMCA is totally a legit move during this trial, that again, Stardock started after they tried to bully Reiche and Ford out of their copyright.

Now that What Remains of Edith Finch is getting free on Epic Store, with their free game program, Epic is making their Fortnite audience to play good games.

that's pretty good, honestly the perfect game for the epic store right now since it's probably something you play over a weekend and uninstall

you guys with your loot boxes.
That's why humble went to shit, you are to blame!
OTOH I'm not complaining, not buying bundles is fine, what is not fine that there aren't really options left.
