His credibility has been shaky and it didn't help that for someone that is such a fan of Valve he didn't notice that him showing internal stuff or discussions made more pressure towards Valve and that made Valve just more likely to just shove under the rug whatever project they had because the pressure was too real.
I'm glad he was right lately and I watch his videos but I always take what he says with a grain of salt.
The problem with him is yeah, sometimes he has some data or rumor and treats it as a fact or worse, starts speculating without being clear about it, leading to people believe that it's indeed a fact (i know he started to say when is he speculating but that is a very recent thing)FinalFlame over on ResetEra is a former Valve employee and says Tyler is usually pretty accurate/knows what he's talking about. for example in this post FinalFlame says Tyler is pretty credible. I've seen other similar posts from FinalFlame as well about Tyler.
Tyler is very young and can get over excited about things. He's also probably fed tons of fake things which is likely very annoying to him and makes his job harder. He still can certainly make mistakes (he had a recent TF2 video about cheaters that had a pretty big mistake, which he admitted to, pulled and later remade) but you're just being silly if you're saying as he's as reliable a source as 4chan.
