I bought a steam code on resetera from a member that has excellent feedback in the buy/sell thread. The code is invalid. He said that the code worked for him and then sent me another one, which is invalid as well. Still waiting for further replies. How fucked am I?

Could be a region locked key. Which game is it for?

Is Monster Hunter World very mash-heavy or is it more like Dark Souls? It's on sale and I've been interested in playing it for a while but after finishing Hyrule Warriors recently, I'm kind of done for the moment with mindless action button mashers.

VGC: half of the core dev team of Microsoft studio The Initiative (working on the next Perfect Dark) have apparently quit the company in the past 12 months due to frustration over the game's direction and general 'top-down' studio hierarchy

VGC sources also claim that the participation of Crystal Dynamics in the development of Perfect Dark might have triggered a soft-reboot of the project and pushing it further away from release The Initiative's management on the other hand is confident in the current team

Although The Initiative’s website claims that the company promotes a “collaborative” creative environment, former employees described the studio’s development hierarchy as very ‘top-down’, with Gallagher and Neuburger keeping a strong grasp on creative decisions.

According to the former employees, many senior team members were frustrated by this perceived lack of autonomy and didn’t feel heard on key issues such as development priorities, project planning and team staffing.

When a studio fails not because the parent company was being too hands-on, but because the parent company was being too hands-off (studio's head and the project's director not offering enough autonomy to the employees, and MS being hands-off and lenient with the studio's progress). :x

At the very least it's alot slowed paced than mash-heavy action games, heavy weapons like greatsword feel appropriately heavy.

MH doesn't play like a Warriors game or a Souls game. It has much higher emphasis on boss fights which make up about 90% of the gameplay. You can button mash lower rank monsters, but the highest level fights will kick your butt if you try that. Also the combat is as simple or complex as you want it to be depending on the weapon you choose.

Cheap Dusk Diver on CDKeys

I was meaning to get the game for a while now but for whatever reason it has been on sale less and with less discounts for quite some time, so this is nice.
(It's 6€)

I think I need some cozy games for the Deck. My little worlds away from the world ? Simply relaxing experiences ?
Tempted by Core Keepers.

Are there games that comes to mind ? Maybe walking sim could work too, not sure. I want to cuddle up and have a good time.

Unpacking maybe?

Honestly I'm not an expert in this category but you could try checking this link for Steam Deck Verified and "relaxing" games tag Steam Search
Just don't check number 1 xD.

as Tomasety said, is a very good choice.

Others that come to mind:

side note:
I made a category "relaxing" to see which games in my library are tagged as such. and, of course, Elden Ring was also in that category. :P

PS writing this from my deck :D

hmm , Telepath Tactics got remade on newer engine

I didn't see it explained anywhere but if you owned the original you seem to get this for free immediately, because the Liberated version is in my library and I hadn't heard about it :face-with-stuck-out-tongue-and-winking-eye:

To add on to the above, here are a few I'm waiting to play until I get my own deck

Don't think that UK has separate keys. So it's strange that it doesn't work

Yeah, I have no idea either.
Now he's asking me if I'm redeeming it in the right place lol.

Edit: dude was sending me xbox codes even though I mentioned several times during our conversation (and in my initial post in the buy/sell thread) that I wanted a steam code. Oh well, he sent me a code that works now.

Discworld books are great. Terry Pratchett was an amazing talent, sorely missed.

I remember a Discworld game, sort of point and click. Had Tony Robinson (Baldrick) voice Rincewind if i remember correctly.

Yeah here it is...

I'm curious about "it worked for him". How do you even check if a Steam key is valid without actually activating the game?

Glad that it worked in the end for you. May I know how much Nier costed for you?

He ended up activating it lol.
On Xbox? This just keeps getting more confusing. I bought a Steam key from someone on Era once, and it didn't work. When I told him, he confirmed it worked for him. And I was like, so you activated it on your own account then? And he didn't reply but just refunded me lol. Anyway, glad your situation worked out.
