Maybe it's cheaper for Valve to just rent Geforce Now instead of making their own cloud service, so that way it could be that it's fully just a steam thing, meaning not necessary to have separate fees or clients.

I think they'll accept any cloud gaming service that is willing to use their steam integration.
More sold games on steam for them either way.

Also SYNAPTIC DRIVE is another new game thjat seems it's doing well
I haven't followed this game closely, at all.
I saw the game's page a few days ago, and added it to my wishlist (and now that I think of it, I saw some footage of it a couple of years ago from some Japanese indie convention), since it looked kind of nice.

But now, I was reading the official website.

Let's see:
-Director: Kouji Kenjo (Custom Robo series)
-Sound Producer: Shinji Hosoe

Well, as the moment gets closer, new things related to the Steam summer event are appearing, the schedule page to be more specific with a list of games that will be shown (and also some that are unnanounced at the moment)

It also features the calendar (feature that eonden will surely appreciate) and a great number of options for the AMA, wishlists and a little preview with the tiny_trailers.

Please, take a look if you want :)

I think I figured out why I am a bit disappointed with the current Sony, they're too safe (gameplay-wise, TLoU 2 rusted a lot of jimmies otherwise). It's like they truly adhere to this 3rd person action adventure thing they had going since the previous gen while their competition releases stuff of all shapes, forms and sizes.

Launching later today:

I'm a bit partial to it, since it's developed here in Portugal, but then again, I'm a sucker for narratives that take place in small towns, and during a single night. ;)

This one looks like a "b-movie", slightly "janky" version of Alan Wake, so I'm in!

It almost feels like Microsoft and Sony swapped places over the course of this gen.

Late gen 7 Microsoft: Forza Halo Gears Forza Halo Gears Forza Halo Gears
Late gen 7 Sony: From B to AAA games, you got your God of Wars and you got your Sirens and Puppeteers

Late gen 8 Microsoft: You have your Halo but you also have stuff like Ori, Killer Instinct and other games that while they might fail, at least they're trying to do something slightly different
Late gen 8 Sony: We're japanese Ubisoft now

Some great looking stuff in there.
In terms of Japanese titles, there's a new game from CAVYHOUSE (Midnight Sanctuary, Forget Me Not: My Organic Garden, ...):

And Onion Games (Dandy Dungeon, BLACK BIRD, ...):

Among others.
I love CAVYHOUSE stuff and their newest game looks great too. Looking forward to it.

Hope Onion games can bring their new game and Moon RPG to Steam. From what I remember they like they weren't happy with their sales of their previous games on Steam. So I hope they can change their mind on that.

lashman's favourite game confirmed. ;)

Yeah, CAVYHOUSE has been building a nice portfolio of "quirky" games (somewhere in the middle between cute, and "macabre", like an older Tim Burton film).
I'm glad the new game is already confirmed for Steam. :)

As for Onion Games, I believe that feedback regarding PC sales was when BLACK BIRD launched.
They took the lack of interest in the game (sales, wishlists, ...) as PC gamers not being interested in their brand of games.

But, after a few people (myself included :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:) kept pestering them, they ended up releasing Dandy Dungeon (which sold better than BLACK BIRD), so I'm hoping their next games (and Moon) will be released on PC.

Many of the games I played when I had, say, a Nintendo console, were these Japanese indie, or AA games, so I really hope more and more make their way to PC.

I see Mostly Negative though, and it doesn't seem to be review boming either.
It seems to currently be lacking content and polish (it's in early access).

I guess I'll keep checking it, to see if things improve in the future. ;)

I need the PCVR version.
Soon ! July, isn't it ?
June is Satisfactory, July Tetris Effect an Death Stranding, and August Control.
I mean, if you don't hold a grudge and buy them day one, that's quite the all-star line-up. Couple that with the Steam sale, you would have to really want it to be bored.

With spins on conventional names like Factorio and Satisfactory, is it wrong that I went in expecting a cool new production-line sim?

...I left disappointed.
Same, then the character started shooting robots :so-good-blob:

July, that's correct, 55 days left to be more specific.

looks like it's gonna be later (maybe)

As I said, I don't expect chocobo or crystal to come to PC because Square is weird and Chocobo released more than 1 year ago.

Yeah, it seems like Sony is really dedicated to releasing these focus tested games until hell freeze over. It really is jarring how Nintendo and even Microsoft try different things with their IPs while Sony is stuck in a relatively same formula. Did they even released anything like Tokyo Jungle or Siren in the past years? Gravity Rush 2 is the only game I can think of.

A more affordable version of the Index HMD then? since you won't need the extras
It's basically WMR 1.5. Hopefully the tracking matches Oculus in quality. Still, I doubt this thing will be worth it for most, especially if Oculus drop the price of the S (but it's already ~200 less for its lower resolution and lesser audio), though it'll probably kill HTC's VR with their Cosmos mishaps. Hopefully other companies will follow suit and provide their own take on WMR 1.5 for varying price ranges that can compete, down to the $200 of last gen WMR models but with the base improvements seen here, just different HMD/screen/build quality specs and stuff. Otherwise if you're gonna spend a premium you might as well go full Index.

I like seeing new VR models that don't overhaul stuff too much though, lol, first Cosmos, now this use a very similar controller layout, it only means Oculus controllers/features remain competitive and on par longer (it's crazy they got it so right in ~2016) and I don't need to upgrade except when some real sweet stuff arrive for modest prices: VR 2.0 with eye tracking for foveated rendering/gameplay features and finger tracking smoother than index for less moneys or whatever. Maybe wireless connection to PC if that becomes possible already (without crazy extra costs like the Vive wireless adapter). I feel like Quest 2 should have proper wireless (5G?) for PC finally, not the laggy homebrew stuff. But not the other things, too premium to sell any time soon unless they also maintain Quest alongside it and that becomes Quest Pro rather than 2, using its power to run the same games at higher res/hz/settings until they abandon the first.
